Fearne Cotton has reportedly been left “shell shocked” over the reaction to a cheeky snap of her kissing her new boyfriend.

The Happy Place podcast host, 43, was spotted kissing TV director Elliot Hegarty, 53, while on a night out with friends in London earlier this month, eleven weeks after she announced her split from Jesse – who is the son of Rolling Stones Ronnie Wood – after 10 years of marriage. Fearne, who shares two children, Rex, 11, and Honey, 8, with Jesse, was photographed locking lips with the Rivals TV show director, who also split from his wife in December.

According to sources, Jesse was aware of Fearne’s blossoming relationship with Elliot, but friends revealed the TV star was “shell shocked” after the pictures of her clinch with hew new beau were published. One source close to the former couple told MailOnline that Fearne had “irritated” the famous Wood family, with her in-laws reportedly “hopeful that things could be more amicable” following the shock split.

The mother-of-two, who also shared stepchildren Arthur, 21, and Lola, 18, with Jesse, has been left reeling after the pictures of her and Elliot were published, as she had hoped to keep the romance out of the spotlight. One source told MailOnline that Fearne wanted to “share the happy news on social media herself”, while another claimed that the TV presenter wanted to make the new relationship “look a little more tasteful”.

Fans were stunned when Fearne shared news of her and Jesse’s shock split in December, with the social media post coming just days after she revealed she had undergone surgery to remove two tumours from her jaw. “It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know that Jesse and I are ending our marriage. Our priority has been and always will be our children. We please ask that you respect the privacy of our family at this time”, she wrote.

Ashley Walters almost quit acting before new role in huge Netflix drama

Actor Ashley Walters admitted he thought about quitting acting before landing a lead role in a huge new role in an upcoming Netflix drama.

The Top Boy star, 42, played drug dealer Dushane in the critically-acclaimed Channel 4 drama from 2011 to 2023, when the series finally came to a close. Ashley, who shot to fame as part of the rap collective So Solid Crew in the late 1990s, confessed he was so fed up of being linked to Top Boy, fearing he would only be offered similar roles, that he considered quitting acting.

Ashley candidly revealed he wanted to move behind the camera because he wasn’t happy with the roles he was being offered after Top Boy. “I was in the mindset of ending my career]in] acting and going more into producing and directing, because it was like, ‘ Am I getting roles I’m enjoying? ‘” he explained.

“As much as I love Top Boy and the other stuff I’ve done, once you’ve played a role for so long, people find it hard to see you as anything else”, Ashley added to Radio Times,. However, his mind was made up once he was offered the role of DI Luke Bascombe in Stephen Graham’s crime drama Adolescence on Netflix, and he agreed to star alongside the award-winning actor without even reading the script. “This revived a part of me that was dying a bit. It’s taken a real friend of mine, Stephen, to see me outside of the box”, he confessed.

The series focuses on the murder investigation, led by DI Bascombe, after a 13-year-old boy is arrested for the killing of a teenage schoolfriend. Adolescence, which was filmed in one continuous shot, was also co-created by Peaky Blinders star Stephen, and debuts on the streaming service on 13 March.

Ashley has been busy promoting the new show, and in a new interview with Jonathan Ross – set to air on Saturday night on ITV – he opened up on the candid admission he made in his new autobiography, Always Winning. “I drank too much alcohol”, he simply stated, adding that his drinking “took its toll” on his family life, and it was a conversation with his daughter that prompted him to quit the booze five years ago.

Adolescence isn’t the first time he’s worked with his longtime pal Stephen, as the two collaborated on the Disney+ drama A Thousand Blows. The former rapper directed three episodes of the historical drama series, which focuses on the world of illegal boxing in Victorian London, and they’re set to team up again on Ashley’s feature film directorial debut, Animol.

He spoke to NME about his “imposter syndrome”, and said he spoke to Line of Duty star Stephen about it on the set of their new Netflix drama. “We talk about it every day. It’s me going, ‘ Sometimes I don’t feel like I’m meant to be here. Sometimes I don’t feel I’m good enough to have it. ‘ It’s something a lot of us suffer with and it’s a double whammy for me because I’m Black… Feeling like people don’t want you there or they’re waiting for you to fail, I use that as fuel. It hasn’t broken me yet”, he told NME.

Ella Rae Wise pines after Dan Edgar as she gushes over on-off romance with TOWIE star

TOWIE’s Ella Rae Wise is opening up about her relationship with Dan Edgar.

The TOWIE cast is set to grace our screens tomorrow (9th March) on ITVBe with an episode filmed in the exotic locale of Bali, a place that holds significant memories for both Ella and Dan.

Reflecting on the unique circumstances of the trip, Ella candidly remarked, “It’s not ideal being away with your fella’s ex bird”! Dan’s colourful love life, including a messy split from Amber Turner in 2023 after six years and, most recently, his on-off relationship with another fellow castmate, Ella Rae Wise, has had fans gripped for years.

Ella and Dan are going from strength to strength

Expressing the void left by Dan’s absence in Bali, Ella shared, “I’m really missing Dan and it’s so weird without him here because Bali is where it all happened, where we started the love really. Everywhere I look there’s a memory, but absence makes the heart grow fonder”.

Speaking to OK! Last month, Dan also gave an update on his relationship with Ella: “We seem to gravitate towards each other. We were on and off last year, then filmed the TOWIE Christmas special and ended up enjoying each other’s company again. We thought, ‘ Why not give it another go? ‘ I’ve got this habit of over-analysing everything, but I just thought, ‘ Go for it'”.

Ella and Dan’s relationship had previously been marked by turbulence, including flings, cheating allegations, and public disputes, notably a high-profile argument on The Only Way Is Essex. Recently, Ella was rumoured to be involved with businessman Teddy Brunt, but her attendance at Dan’s performance suggested a possible reconciliation.

Dan’s journey on Dancing on Ice recently came to an unexpected halt, which will give him more time to spend with Ella. The 34-year-old TOWIE star faced elimination after a skate-off with retired footballer Anton Ferdinand. The judges unanimously voted to save Anton, leading to Dan’s departure from the competition. This decision sparked a wave of controversy among fans, with many taking to social media to express their outrage and accuse the show of being fixed, especially given Anton’s noticeable mistakes during his routine.

Despite the controversy, Dan took to Instagram to express his gratitude for the support he received and reflected positively on his experience on the show. His unexpected elimination has fuelled ongoing debates about the show’s judging criteria and the transparency of the scoring system.

The current TOWIE series has been nothing short of eventful. The Bali trip, in particular, will be a focal point, capturing moments of romance, tension, and personal growth among the cast members.

The Only Way Is Essex, Sundays at 9pm on ITVBe and ITVX and TOWIE takes Bali starts Sunday 9 March.

Meghan Markle is ‘completely incorrect’ about her Sussex surname, says royal

In her brand new food show, With Love, Meghan, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, opened up about the surname she now uses. But not everyone is too sure about it.

The Californian Royal, who left palace life behind five years ago, has long put aside her maiden name of Markle, but this is still the name to which she is often referred.

While chatting about fast food with Mindy Kaling in the second episode, Meghan can be seen gently correcting The Office actress after she remarked: “People wouldn’t believe that Meghan Markle ate at Jack in the Box”.

Offering some insight into how she refers to herself away from the public eye, mum of two Meghan replied: “It’s so funny, too, that you keep saying Meghan Markle. You know I’m Sussex now. You have kids, and you go, ‘ no I share my name with my children’…I didn’t know how meaningful it would be to me, but it just means so much to go ‘ this is our family name, our little family name'”.

However, just as fans were getting used to the idea of “Meghan Sussex”, King Charles ‘ second cousin Lord Ivar Mountbatten came forward with a clarification, insisting that the 43-year-old duchess had gotten it quite wrong.

Season two of With Love, Meghan has now been confirmed (Netflix)

Lord Mountbatten, who recently appeared on The Traitors (US), told Town &amp, Country: “It’s interesting because she’s completely incorrect. Her family name is not Sussex, her family name is Mountbatten-Windsor. Her children are called Archie and Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor, they’re not called Archie and Lilibet Sussex because Sussex is a title”.

The aristocrat continued: “So, they are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but actually he’s Harry Mountbatten-Windsor and she would be Meghan Mountbatten-Windsor. My brother is the Marquess of Milford Haven, but his surname is Mountbatten, so he’s called George Mountbatten, the Marquess of Milford Haven. When I read that, it was an article about her new program, and she said that her family name is Sussex”.

He went on to clarify that he hadn’t yet tuned into With Love, Meghan, which hit Netflix on Tuesday, March 4, predicting: “I might be interested to watch it, it might not last long”.

However, it would appear that this food show is no flash in the pan, with Netflix confirming on Friday (March 7), that the series will be returning for a second season, which has already been filmed. Taking to Instagram with a video shared to her Stories, Meghan announced: “Lettuce romaine calm… or not (!) because I’m thrilled to share that Season 2 of ‘ With Love, Meghan ‘ is coming”!

You can stream With Love, Meghan on Netflix now.

Lady Gaga suffered from debilitating mental health condition that ‘took her out of life’

Pop sensation Lady Gaga has revealed that she experienced psychosis five years ago.

The 38-year-old singer and actress opened up about her mental health struggles on The Interview podcast from The New York Times, sharing that she was disconnected from reality for a period of time.

However, she also spoke of a “special” moment that arose from this difficult time with her now-fiancé Michael Polanksy. The Poker Face singer shared: “Five years ago, I had psychosis. I was not deeply in touch with reality for a while. It took me out of life in a big way, and after a lot of years of hard work I got myself back”.

She went on to describe how meeting Michael was a turning point for her. “It was a hard time, and it was actually really special when I met my partner because when I met Michael, I was in a much better place, but I remember him saying to me, pretty early on, ‘ I know you could be a lot happier than you are'”.

Lady Gaga, who released her seventh studio album earlier this week, admitted that hearing these words was challenging. “It was really hard for me to hear him say that because I didn’t want him to think that of me. I wanted him to think I was like this happy, totally together person”.

She praised Michael’s character, stating: “From the moment that I met Michael, he had the most warm and kind disposition of maybe anyone that I had met in my whole life”. Despite her openness, the award-winning singer confessed that discussing her mental health is not easy for her.

She said: “It’s something that I have found increasingly harder to talk about. I hate feeling defined by it. It felt like something I felt ashamed of. But I don’t think that we should feel ashamed if we go through times like that. I mostly just wish to say, it can get better. It did for me, and I’m grateful for that”.

Lady Gaga and Michael first stepped out as a couple in 2019, and they announced their engagement in July 2024. Michael is credited with inspiring his future wife to return to the recording studio and create her latest critically acclaimed album, Mayhem.

The Oscar winner’s seventh studio album, Mayhem, recorded at Shangri-La Studios near her home in Malibu, has 14 tracks including Disease, Abracadabra and Bruno Mars collaboration Die With A Smile. Mayhem is promoted as being about “embracing the fractured pieces of oneself and discovering how they come together to form something unexpected and beautiful”.

Lady Gaga says making the album was like assembling a shattered mirror to make up the different elements of her artistic life. She said: “Even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something memorable and whole in its own way”. The record is produced by the New York-born singer alongside Andrew Watt – who produced the Rolling Stones ‘ 2023 return Hackney Diamonds – alongside the singer’s fiancé Michael.

Lady Gaga has won 14 Grammys during her career, and has had four number one albums and six number one singles in the UK, with hits including Telephone and Poker Face. Born Stefani Joanne Germanotta, the Bad Romance singer was given an Oscar nod for best actress for A Star Is Born, and won an original song Academy Award for the film’s track Shallow.

Gaga has also acted in American Horror Story and House Of Gucci. In 2021, she released two records including a remix version of 2020’s Chromatica called Dawn Of Chromatica, featuring collaborations with artists such as Charli XCX and Rina Sawayama, and Love For Sale, on which she collaborated with the late Tony Bennett.
