Radio 1’s Big Weekend line-up in full and how to get tickets

Taking place in Liverpool this year, the BBC Radio One’s Big Weekend returns to host the best of British music talent. Within Sefton Park, the festival will be spread across three days, four stages and include nearly 100 artists.

With stages: Radio One Main Stage, Radio One New Music Stage, Radio 1 Dance Stage and BBC Introducing Stage, goers are promised a brilliant time. Tom Grennan has been confirmed to headline the Main Stage and will be joined by artists Katy B, Biffy Clyro, Nia Archives and The Wombats.

Tom Grennan said: “Being asked to Headline Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool, a city that has given so much to the rich musical tapestry of this country, is an incredible honour. Radio 1 have backed me from day one from the humble beginning. To now go hand in glove]with the BBC] and headline their event in such an incredible city will be another crowning moment for me and my career so far. See you in the fields, Tom x”.

Set to kickstart from Friday 23rd May until Sunday 25th May, Friday’s line-up includes Biffy Clyro, James Hype, The Wombats and Tom Grennan on the Main Stage, and Barry Can’t Swim, Confidence Man, D. O. D, Jazzy, Katy B, Nia Archives and Prospa on Radio 1 New Music Stage.

Previously announced acts include award winning Sam Fender as a big headliner – which was confirmed by Greg James on BBC Breakfast show in January. Singles chart-topper Lola Young has also been confirmed with her song Messy, along with Blossoms, Myles Smith and Wet Leg. Having shot to fame this year with her debut single Messy, Lola Young said she cannot wait to play at Big Weekend, joking that “it’s going to get Messy! Me]plus] the Liverpool crowd]equals] One Big Weekend… see what I did there! “!

Bagging the BRITs Rising Star award this year, Myles Smith spoke on the festival, saying: “This is unreal. Big Weekend was always a dream of mine, and to be on the line-up again is insane”, thanking those who have “been listening, supporting, and coming to shows. I couldn’t have done this without you. See you there”!.

The Northern indie rock band Blossoms said they are “delighted that Radio One have invited]them] to play at this year’s Big Weekend”, adding that its: “Even more so because it’s taking place in Liverpool, a city close to our hearts, where we’ve worked and recorded every single one of our albums since our debut in 2016”.

Nutribullet’s portable blender is perfect for commuters on the go and currently on sale

There’s nothing worse than scrambling about in the morning trying to get breakfast sorted before work. Anything that saves us a bit of time in the morning before work is a lifesaver, and that’s exactly what Nutribullet’s portable blender does. When you’re pushed for time to catch your morning train or log on for that 9am meeting, simply chuck some fruit and veggies into the blender and take it with you on the go.

The best part is that the blender is currently on offer for £31.99 at Yimbly. This handy device is not only great for commuters but also for long car journeys, caravan holidays, hikes, and more.

So, what exactly does this blender do? The lightweight and compact device allows you to mix all your favourite ingredients without the need for a cord or plug. From a post-workout protein shake to a pre-work smoothie or a poolside cocktail, it’s ideal for days when you’re on the go.

The leakproof lid means no spillage in your handbag or backpack (Yimbly/ Nutribullet)

Before use, the blender needs around 90 minutes of charging with the provided USB cord, and then this will last for 15 cycles.

Aside from its convenience, the sleek and compact design is perfect for slipping into backpacks, suitcases, and gym bags. The leakproof lid means you can easily take this around with you all day without fear of spillage in your bag or car.

Reviewers have been really impressed by the practicality of this product, with one reviewer writing: “Really great for anyone that likes to camp or has a campervan etc as it’s mains rechargeable with a good battery life to take with you but can also be charged up via USBc so a power bank or USB point”.

A criticism is that due to its small size, it is not as powerful as larger blenders and works better with softer ingredients. Another reviewer wrote: “It’s obviously not as large or powerful as the 240v mains version, but it blends soft fruits, berries, bananas, etc., spinach, and ice cream nicely after two cycles. It struggles with anything harder and leaves gritty bits. It makes one 300ml drink at a time”.

Alternatively, Ninja’s Blast Portable Blender is reduced from £49.99 to £39.99, with reviewers claiming it blends easily through frozen fruit and ice.

Five tickets are still available if you missed out on new tour dates

Five confirmed the most exciting news earlier this month: they’re getting back together. And this reunion news got even better just before the weekend as well.

The band confirmed a batch of additional dates for their upcoming UK tour. Due to overwhelming demand, the group – made up of Ritchie Neville, Scott Robinson, Sean Conlon, Abz Love and Jason “J” Brown – will be playing their Keep On Movin ‘ tour across 20 dates in the UK this November in total.

These new dates mean they’ll be hitting some new cities, including Dublin, Belfast and Sheffield. On top of that, London, Manchester, Glasgow and more received even more dates.

The first string of dates were recently confirmed, but upon new dates being announced, the band commented: “Absolutely buzzing to share that we’re adding even MORE dates to the Keep On Movin ‘ 2025 Tour!! To say we’re overwhelmed by the response to the tour so far would be an understatement, we’re truly speechless. Getting all this support 25 years on is nothing short of mindblowing. We cannot wait to be back on that stage surrounded by our incredible fans, make sure you get your tickets!”! (sic)

Tickets for these shows were released late last week, to monumental demand. We’ve got the full breakdown of what you need to know below, including where to buy and where Five are playing in the UK.

How to buy Five tickets now

Five tickets were released on Friday, March 7, 2025, across a number of ticket websites. This included the likes of Ticketmaster and Live Nation.

While many tickets were swiftly snapped up, here’s the links you need:

However, considering how popular the band’s comeback was, tickets sold out at a lot of these dates in no time. As a result, many fans were left without any chance of buying tickets to their ideal shows.

Thankfully, there is still hope. Tickets are still plentiful across resale websites across the internet.

Retailers such as viagogo and StubHub allow fans to dive into the tours without struggle. Here’s the links you need:

viagogo and resale tickets

Sites such as Viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.

Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale – such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation – to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk.

The band will be playing a huge amount of shows this year. Here’s the list:

Rochelle Humes’ £14 ‘perfect’ Next top ‘can be worn with any outfit’

Brits might feel like they’re massively unprepared for the warmer weather after facing the hottest day of the year so far this March. With temperatures warmer than Amalfi Coast, it’s only right that people start to think about swapping out their winter warmers for something a little cooler.

Next has lots of options that don’t need to break the bank – and could work for so many outfits. The £14 Ribbed Racer Tank Vest Sleeveless Top has been released – and shoppers are racing to get their hands on them.

Available from sizes 6 to 22, this loose-fit top is a “timeless racer-style vest” that features a ribbed jersey, collar and sleeve trim. It’s finished with a racerback.

Shoppers have been raving about how this top can be used in so many different situations. You could layer it nicely with a blazer for a stylish office look or a simple pair of jeans for a casual day.

Some claimed it would be ideal for hitting the town during those warm summer nights. And, if you cannot be trusted with a crisp white top, don’t worry, as it comes in several different options, including a slimming black and patterned stripe.

Shoppers said the top had so many uses – from day-to-day in the office to working out or going out for the evening (Next)

Shoppers shared some of their glowing reviews, praising it for being “versatile”. One said: “A very good quality vest – will look good underneath a shirt when the weather is warmer”!

Another added: “A very good fit and true to size. Great for working out or going out”! They added: “Bought the black one liked it so much I bought the white one as well”.

A third wrote: “Love this smart casual top”. Someone else put in their review: “This is a beautiful vest top for any occasion. Feels soft on your skin and it fits very well – true to size”. A fifth person posted: “Perfect fit, great quality, non see though material. So versatile as can be worn with any outfit”!

But, not every shopper was happy. One claimed: “Tops are too short in the body. I’d be fine if you are 5’2 but nothing over that”.

Another added: “I am a size 16 but didn’t want these to be skin tight so l chose a size 18 so it would be a bit loose. The fabric was thick, the neck was really small so very tight, the body was OK but it gaped over at the armholes. Now l have to return them as l bought three”!

For those looking to put together some easy looks, going for a few basics might go a long way to craft a few simple yet stylish outfits. You can get similar tops elsewhere for a great price too.

On Marks and Spencer, shoppers can get the Cotton Rich Ribbed Slim Fit Vest Top in 10 different colours for as little as £8.50. Elsewhere, New Look is selling this White Rib Jersey Vest for £9.99 and ASOS has this double layer racer vest in white available for £14.

Danny Jones warned of ‘huge mistake’ as silence on wife’s ‘humiliation’ rumbles on

Singer Danny Jones has been warned of coming across as “evasive” if he speaks out too late following reports he shared a “drunken kiss” with Maura Higgins.

It’s been claimed the McFly frontman, who has been married to his wife Georgia Horsley since 2014, had a “drunken kiss” with the Love Islander while at a BRITs afterparty last week, with another video appearing to show the pair deep in conversation while at another gathering.

In the wake of the reports, Danny has remained quiet, and Maura has fled the country after jetting to Los Angeles International Airport from London Heathrow Airport for an “exciting shoot”.

A PR crisis expert has now urged Danny to speak out sooner rather than later in a bid to avoid coming across as “calculated” to fans regarding the situation. Edward Coram-James, CEO of Go Up, told the Mirror: “Danny needs to speak sooner rather than later. Silence will only fuel the fire and make him look evasive – worse – calculated”.

He added: “Under no circumstances should he use the dreaded notes app/Instagram apology – so overdone and formulaic at this point that it’s a tired cliché and also so easy to hide behind, especially with comments turned off”.

“The authenticity needs to come across in a more meaningful way, perhaps through a well-thought-out, personal statement – possibly an interview or video where he speaks directly to the camera”.

The warning comes after Danny, who won the latest series I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! back in December, was spotted appearing to kiss fellow campmate Maura while at a BRITs afterparty. At the time, it was claimed the pair “seemed to be having a great time” at the event. Speaking to The Sun, a source alleged, “They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss”.

A week later, a new video emerged of Maura and Danny from their night out after they travelled separately from the afterparty to a different afterparty at Nobu Hotel in London. In the video obtained by The Sun, the duo seemed to be deep in conversation at the other gathering.

“Danny and Maura seemed to be enjoying their night of partying and had no plans to call it a night. They were knocking back wine at the Nobu from 4am and seemed keen to carry on. They weren’t seen leaving before 6am”, a source told the publication.

Since the footage emerged, Danny and Maura have both kept a low profile. Danny’s wife Georgia, who is alleged to have felt “slapped in the face” by the reports, recently cancelled a public appearance and failed to appear on a new episode of her Mum’s The Word! With Georgia Jones and Kelsey Parker podcast. Instead, Kelsey presented the episode, which featured an interview with Olivia Bowen solo.

A source has claimed that Danny and Georgia are now engaged in ‘ crisis talks ‘ in an attempt to save their 11-year marriage. They added that it is time for the McFly star, who shares seven-year-old son Cooper with Georgia, to “speak out” and publicly address what really happened.

“Everyone would understand why Danny and his wife have been quiet”, the source told the Mirror. “They are likely working through various discussions from the first video that was released alone. With this second video, Danny needs to now speak out”.

They added: “Maura is getting a lot of the backlash, and Danny seems to be getting away with his actions as a husband who was supposed to have been in love with his wife for over a decade. Danny’s career should be halted at this point, and he should be big enough to speak out to everyone now, explain what has happened, and take some accountability”.

They continued: “This is unfair on his wife, who seems to have put the family and their marriage first. Who knows if another video will emerge, but being honest is now the only way that this has a chance of resolving itself”.

After meeting in 2009, Danny and Georgia got engaged four years later while on holiday in Cyprus. The pair tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in North Yorkshire in 2014, surrounded by friends and family.

During his time in the I’m A Celeb jungle, Danny opened up about meeting his wife and revealed that he had chased her for a year before she agreed to go on a date. “It took me a year to get her because I invited her out for a roast. It was just like clubbing, we couldn’t talk.

” I was like ‘ Do you wanna go to the pub tomorrow? ‘ and she was like ‘ Yeah'”. I texted her in the morning, and she was like, ‘ Sorry, I can’t make it'”.

He added: “And then weeks went on, and she didn’t make it, couldn’t make it, turning me down. And I gave up in the end. Then about 11 months later she text me saying ‘ Do you wanna go out for a drink or get breakfast? ‘ and I was like ‘ Yes! ‘ So I picked her up and took her to the waffle house in St. Albans. That was literally like twelve months later”.
