Wendy Williams has been seen being escorted to hospital amid a worrying debate over her health and guardianship.

The star was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and primary progressive aphasia (PPA) in May 2023, and has since been placed in an assisted living facility with her affairs under the control of a court-appointed guardian. Wendy, 60, has raged against claims that she’s “cognitively impaired”, begging for help to get her life back to normal.

In photos taken in New York on Monday, Wendy was seen being led to an ambulance as she left her assisted care facility, flanked by a group of sheriffs – one of whom she linked arms with.

According to the Daily Mail, the former talkshow host was en route to Lenox Hill Hospital, where she’s set to undergo a cognitive evaluation to establish whether she’s well enough for her guardianship to come to an end. The outlet reported that the visit came after she dropped a note reading “Help! Wendy!”! to paparazzi gathered outside her fifth floor window.

Wendy wore black trousers and a white top for the quick exit, layered with a long patterned cardigan. She clutched a handbag for the hospital trip, and let go of the cop’s arm to enter the ambulance herself upon arrival at the van’s front door.

Alongside her diagnosis with frontotemporal dementia, Wendy has shared that she’s struggled with other health issues over the past few years. Back in 2018, the star announced that she had been diagnosed with the autoimmune condition Graves ‘ disease, and its associated disease of hyperthyroidism.

Wendy’s movements are under the judgement of her court-appointed guardian Sabrina Morrissey, who previously declared in legal proceedings that Wendy is “cognitively impaired, permanently disabled, and legally incapacitated” – thus her move into the secure living facility in New York.

Wendy’s family has agreed with Wendy’s own opinion that the ruling is unwarranted, and previously shared their concern over their inability to contact the talk show host. Her relatives claimed that Wendy was put under guardianship without their knowledge and were not considered to be potential caregivers for her.

Last month, Wendy appeared on podcast The Breakfast Club via video link, and protested against her guardian’s claim that she was unable to live independently.

“I am not cognitively impaired, you know what I’m saying? But I feel like I’m in prison”, she said of her lodgings. “I’m in this place where the people are in their 90s and their 80s and their 70s … There’s something wrong with these people here on this floor”.

Wendy’s hospital evaluation follows news that she was given the green light by the court to visit her father in Miami for his forthcoming 94th birthday. The TV star will be able to leave her secure facility and fly to New York City before heading to Florida to join in the family celebrations, according to TMZ – with no specified date provided.

Amber Rose has opened up about the first time she worked with Kanye West – ultimately leading to their shock relationship.

Model Amber, 41, dated Kanye, 47, from 2008 to 2010, and met when he invited her to work on the music video for his song Robocop. After being flown out from New York to Los Angeles, however, Amber realised that the rapper may have had more than just work on his mind.

The former stripper spoke to host Shannon Sharpe on his podcast Club Shay Shay, and admitted that she was “so young” she didn’t know that Kanye may have had romantic intentions. Shannon brought up Amber’s career on music videos, and asked whether she tried to keep things “professional” or might have set out to bag herself a musician.

Amber immediately guessed that he was referring to her fling with Kanye, and suggested that things may have been unprofessional on his side. “He flew me out to do Robocop video because he was like ‘ You look like a robot, I think this would be cool. ‘ And I said ‘ Absolutely, you’re Kanye West, of course I’ll come out to shoot the video. It would be an honour, ‘” she described.

Machine Gun Kelly’s ex continued: “I go to LA, and we’re like hanging out at night, I meet him, and he’s on another video set. And I’m like, ‘ Okay, so what time should I be ready tomorrow, is a car going to- ‘ you know, because I’m so used to the other videos I’ve done before that…”

“You’re keeping it professional”, said Shannon, with Amber agreeing and explaining: “And he’s like ‘ Nah, nah, just chill, we’re going to figure it out. So then a day goes by, and then another day goes by, we’re going out to dinners… we’re doing everything but shooting the video”!

Amber shared that Kanye’s focus on dinners out rather than work wasn’t what she was used to, saying: “I only brought one outfit, because that’s what I was used to – you fly in, you do the video, you have an outfit to go back on the plane and go home.

” He’s like, ‘ You don’t need no outfit, don’t even worry about it, I got you. ‘ So then we go out to dinner, and this is like the fourth-fifth day I’m there. And he’s like, ‘ I know this is crazy but do you want to come to the Grammys with me. “

The Donald Trump supporter then suggested that being” flown out “might mean something different in Hollywood, and she didn’t realise at the time that Kanye wanted her on his arm.

She said:” So then we went to the Grammys, and I was so young, Shannon, I’m like, ‘ Are we still doing this video? ‘ I did not realise I got flown out. I did not know that. I was so green I didn’t realise that he really flew me out because he saw me in the video and thought I was hot and then he flew me out. But I didn’t know. ‘ “

Amber described how soon after the Grammys she had to head home to a funeral, and after Kanye called her several times a day during her absence he then begged her to move to LA to be with him. She said that after she said she’d have to pack up her stuff he even told her not to bother – saying that if she flew back as quickly as possible he’d kit her out with everything she needed.

EastEnders fans were stunned when they saw Kat Slater actress Jessie Wallace serving punters in an east London cafe.

In scenes that may have left TV fans questioning if life was imitating art – or the other way around – the 53-year-old soap icon was serving up drinks at the iconic E Pellicci cafe in Bethnal Green. Jessie has starred on EastEnders since the turn of the century – and has been one of the many landladies to work behind the bar of the Queen Vic on the BBC show.

Over the weekend, Jessie swapped E20 for E2 and showed off her barista skills as she got to work in the east London cafe. Footage shared by the E Pellicci cafe Instagram page showed the star chatting with customers while steaming milk for hot drinks.

Footage showed Jessie barking one of her most iconic Kat Slater lines as one customer joked with her saying, “You aint my mother”, and she replied: “Yes, I am”! The bombshell line calls back to a 2001 episode of EastEnders when Kat reveals to Zoe Slater, played by Michelle Ryan, that she is her biological mother.

Sharing clips and photos via Instagram, the E Pellicci cafe wrote: When our GORGEOUS and super lovely friend @jessie. wallace_official performs one of the most iconic lines ever @bbceastenders in a packed cafe… Thank you @jessie. wallace_official you made our day and we love you loads. “

Fans have been stunned by the antics – and flooded the Instagram post with comments and messages. One fan wrote:” What a good sport she is. “Another typed:” Iconic moment to be part off. “And another declared:” I love her “along with red heart emojis.

Jessie is a fan favourite and first appeared on EastEnders as Kat in 2000 before quitting the square in 2005. She returned in 2010 and has remained a member of the cast in the 15 years since.

Earlier this year, Jessie expressed her hope that on-screen daughter Michelle, 40, will return to Albert Square. Appearing on Lacey Turner’s podcast, We Started Here, Jessie said:” I’d love it if she came back… I think it would be great for Kat and Zoe. I think it would be brilliant if she just turned up and went, ‘ Hello, Mum! ‘ “

In November last year, Michelle admitted she would be open to returning to EastEnders – having previously vowed never to return to the soap. During an exchange with fans via Instagram, one follower asked:” Love the show. My buddy is one of the shows directors and I hope to visit the set one day. Would you ever consider a return? “- to which Michelle replied:” Never say never! “

Another fan asked:” Would you not just come back? It would be epic! “- to which she responded:” That’s for the producers to decide. “Away from EastEnders, Michelle has maintained a reasonably steady stream of work – appearing in hit shows including Death in Paradise, Merlin and even an episode of Doctor Who. She has also featured in films – with a project called Finding My Voice due for release this year.

Kourtney Kardashian’s stepdaughter, Alabama Barker, has proudly shown off her new boyfriend after being targeted by a spiteful love rival.

The 19-year-old aspiring singer is the daughter of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, 49, and actress and model Shanna Moakler, also 49. Travis and Shanna were married from 2004 until 2008 and also share a 21-year-old son named Landon – and he later married reality star Kourtney, 45, in 2022.

While Alabama has famous parents, her own star power has risen in recent years – and she has millions of fans that follower her on social media. And on Sunday, she confirmed her new romance with University Of California at Los Angeles football player Scooter Jackson.

In a video clip, Alabama hugged and danced with Scooter – with the footage then being shared via her social media channels. The reveal came weeks after she proudly showed off a huge bouquet of white roses that she received from a then-mysterious person on Valentine’s Day last month.

Alabama’s reveal comes on the heels of a sensational outburst by music star Bhad Bhabie – whose real name is Danielle Bregoli, 21 – who took aim at the social media star, her father, and the Kardashians. Bhad released a diss track titled Ms. Whitman – a reference to the 1993 film True Romance which includes a character called Alabama Whitman who the Blink-182 star’s daughter is named after.

The track features a sample of a song titled Carnival that was written by Kanye West – who famously was married to Alabama’s step-aunt Kim Kardashian. The track also mocked Kourteny and Travis’s romance, referencing rumours that she was allegedly not his first choice of Kardashian sister to date.

Bhad may have overstepped, however, as Kanye has broken his silence over her track to slam the fact she sampled one of his tunes. The troubled rap star took to Instagram last month to make it clear that he had no involvement in the situation and played no role in creating the track. Addressing the rumours, Kanye wrote: “I’m not in the middle of none of this AI beef. People throwing my voice on things, the whole Carnival sample. I just talked to Travis Barker. I would never be in the middle. I don’t even know what’s going on.

” I just got sent a song and asked if I could clear the sample. The only reason I clear anything is because so many people try to stop me. They stop clearances, everything has been very difficult for me. “He went on to clarify his position, adding:” So, anybody asks me for something, I always clear it, but I’m not cool with being put in the middle of all this at all. “

Ending his statement, Kanye made it clear that his voice had been used without his approval, saying”, So any verse that has been going viral using my voice and all of that, I didn’t do it. “Kanye’s statement confirmed that he had no involvement in the feud and wanted no part in the controversy. He also had no input in the dispute between Bhad Bhabie and Alabama Barker and has made no negative comments about Travis Barker’s relationship with Kourtney Kardashian.

Heartbroken Patrick Kielty bid his mother a final farewell in Northern Ireland on Monday – carrying her coffin to her funeral.

The 54-year-old presenter was downcast as he prepared to say goodbye to his mother, Mary Kielty, who passed away at her home in Co Down on Saturday. Hundreds turned out to line the streets as those close to Mary and her family came together for a ceremony at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Dundrum.

Patrick wore a grey suit and joined other pallbearers as he carried his mother’s coffin into the church. Mary was reportedly in her 80s at the time of her death – and a notice about her passing described her as a “loving mother” and “devoted grandmother”.

The notice added that she “will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her entire family circle, neighbours and friends”. Mary was the proud mother of Patrick along with his brothers John and Cahal.

Patrick has been married to This Morning host Cat Deeley since 2012 and they have two children together, sons Milo, nine, and James, six. Cat remained at home to care for their young sons as the family processed their grief. A spokesperson told The Mirror: “Cat remained at home to be there for her two young children before and after school on this very sad day”.

The Sun reports that the funeral took place at 1pm on Monday and that mourners were also reminded of the tragic passing of Mary’s husband, Jack, who died aged 44 during the Troubles. The publication quotes the parish priest Robert Fleck referring to Mary as enduring a “difficult life”.

He is quoted stating: “It left its impact not only on the close family and friends, but also on the wider community. On the occasion of her funeral, we recommit ourselves to working for peace and reconciliation in the divided community that is the north of Ireland”.

He added: “Mary had a good sense of humour, her family have thrived on this gift. Recently, Pope Francis met a number of world comedians, including Mary’s stand-up comic son Patrick. He spoke, the Pope did, of the gift that was theirs, and of how it also pointed to the joy of resurrection”.

Cat has been hosting This Morning since the latter half of last year following the departures of both Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. In an interview last year, Cat said she would not hesitate to quit working on the long-running daytime TV show if it began to have an impact on her health.

Speaking to Grazia magazine last October, she said: “I don’t feel particularly vulnerable]taking over from Holly and Phil]. And I’d always think about my own mental health. If something was affecting me, or I hated going into work, I’d walk away. It’s more important that I enjoy what I do”.

The presenter was also quizzed on ‘ toxic workplace ‘ allegations that had been attached to the This Morning set, with former stars Dr Ranj and Eammon Holmes previously hitting out at the ITV show. She said: “Well, obviously Ben]Shephard] and I had heard all of those stories. I can only speak as I find it, and I have no idea what happened before we were there, but I haven’t seen one scrap of it”.

Danny Jones ‘ father has reportedly quit his radio job after his colleagues labelled the singer a ‘ pig ‘ after his shock kiss with Maura Higgins.

McFly singer Danny, 38, and Love Island star Maura, 34, became pals after meeting during their stint on the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle at the end of last year. Months later, married Danny and Maura hit headlines after they were filmed sharing a drunken kiss at a BRIT Awards afterparty.

Danny is married to Georgia Horsley, with the two sharing a seven-year-old son called Cooper. Meanwhile, Maura is newly single after splitting from Pete Wicks, who she was briefly dating while she was in the I’m A Celebrity jungle. Amid the fallout from the kiss, it has been reported that Danny’s estranged dad, Alan, is “deeply upset” by the comments his colleagues made about the singer.

Alan presents five days a week on Fresh Radio Spain in Benidorm, but is now said to have quit his role. A source recently claimed: “Danny’s dad is refusing to go back on air on his radio show, and furiously ranted at station staff after two of his co-presenters were mocking his son live on air.

” He’s been telling people that Danny is going through a marriage crisis, and so it’s upsetting to then have his colleagues talking about it behind his back. “The insider claimed to The Sun it was ‘ hugely upsetting ‘ to find out his co-presenters reportedly called his son a ‘ pig ‘ for kissing Maura.

Alan and Danny have been estranged for 18 years, with the singer previously opening up on his lack of a relationship with his dad on I’m A Celeb. Alan wasn’t invited to his wedding to Georgia in 2014. The Mirror have reached out to Danny and Fresh Radio for comment.

During his stint on I’m A Celeb, the Bolton-born musician shared that he had” found a dad “in fellow contestant Barry McGuigan. His words hinted at the long-standing estrangement from his own father, Alan—a relationship that, despite efforts to reconcile, remains broken. After his parents ‘ divorce, Danny struggled to rebuild any connection with his dad.

The final blow came last year when, after two decades of distance, they arranged to meet – only for Alan to pull out at the last moment. Danny previously admitted he has long wrestled with guilt over the happiness he has built, knowing his mother, Kathy, hadn’t had the same since the family fell apart.

In an episode of The High Performance Podcast, Danny spoke candidly about his decision to cut ties completely. When asked if simply picking up the phone could mend things, his response was firm:” No. I don’t know him anymore, and he doesn’t know me. If I heard his voice, I wouldn’t even recognise it. He made the choice to have me, but I could never walk away from my own son the way he did. If my child wanted to talk to me, I’d be fighting to make it happen. My dad hasn’t done that – so why should I? “
