Sir Rod Stewart invited his daughter Ruby on stage with him to perform a heartwarming duet at one of his concerts.

The 80-year-old musician, who is performing at Glastonbury Festival this summer, is currently on his North American One Last Time tour. The tour started in Austin on Friday and it was a special one as his daughter joined him on stage for a performance of his 1988 hit, Forever Young.

“My dear friends in Austin… What a stunning night. You all knocked me off my feet. Such enthusiasm and thank you for making my daughter @rubystewart part of the party …. Love ya”, Sir Rod said on his Instagram page after sharing the sweet moment with his followers.

The father-daughter duo looked confident on stage as Sir Rod rocked striped trousers, a patterned shirt, gold shoes and his classic hairstyle. Ruby was equally dressed up in red boots, flared trousers and a rainbow-patterned long-sleeved shirt.

Fans were loving the special moment, rushing to the comment section to compliment the duo. One user said: “Hard to believe that he is almost 80… Do I have that right? That man is amazing and his daughter is a great singer”, and another posted: “Wow this is a beautiful song and having Ruby sing with her Dad is precious”.

Meanwhile, Glastonbury Festival recently released its full line-up, which includes Rod performing over the huge weekend. Sir Rod was confirmed in November, with the singer taking to social media to announce the exciting news. “I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that I’ll be playing @glastofest 2025”! he said.

“After all these years, I’m proud and ready and more than able to take the stage again to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury in June. I’ll see you there”! Meanwhile, The 1975, Olivia Rodrigo and Charli xcx are also performing on stage. Neil Young, Neil Rodgers, Doechii, RAYE, Noah Kahan, The Prodigy, Biffy Clyro, Loyle Carner and Alanis Morissette are also performing at the festival.

In a bid to secure the young market, TikTok Lola Young has revealed she will be heading to Worthy Farm. The pair were seen together for the first time since Danny’s boozy 3am kiss at a BRIT Awards afterparty with his fellow I’m a Celebrity star Maura Higgins.

Now a friend has spoken out after they put on a public show of togetherness – saying they are working through their problems.

A source said: “They are clearly looking to put things behind them, and move on with their lives. It really hasn’t been a good time at all but they are very much together. “

“He tried for a year,” she revealed. “I do like to drop that into conversation every now and again. He wanted me for a year. I said no. I was totally chilled when we went on the date.

“I didn’t really want to. My mum went, ‘Oh darling, what have you got to lose? Go on, go and enjoy yourself. ‘” She said she had reasons to be skeptical, adding: “I said he’s probably going to be a bit of a top shagger, isn’t he. I just assumed.

“I treated him mean, kept him keen – without realising. I didn’t know I was doing that. ” The couple latter got engaged in 2013 during a romantic holiday in Cyprus, before tying the knot in Georgia’s hometown of Malton.

Glastonbury Festival fans are excited as they speculate a band, fresh off releasing a new album this year, might be playing at the iconic music event.

The initial line-up dropped by Glastonbury Festival already boasts The 1975, Olivia Rodrigo, and Neil Young as Pyramid Stage headliners. However, fans are eager to find out who else will join the roster, with discussions heating up on r/GlastonburyFestival.

Some are pointing towards the enduring chart-toppers known for their hit “Let’s Dance to Joy Division”, with many festival-goers convinced they’ll make the cut in upcoming announcements.

One hopeful fan posted: “The Wombats? Thought they’d be a shoo-in with their new album and them touring (playing Liverpool June 19), wonder if a band of this size could get announced later on”?

I’ve seen people online say they’re interested however at my work we are all going and all varying ages and music tastes and I don’t know a single person who intends on going to watch him”.

The Prince of Wales headed to the West Midlands today to have a go at refereeing at a training course at Sporting Khalsa FC in Willenhall. The course, which has been running since July 2023 and combines practical and theory training, is part of the Football Association’s Reflective and Representative campaign – which aims to recruit 1, 000 people from black, Asian and mixed heritage backgrounds into refereeing roles.

But before making it inside the football ground, William was welcomed by hundreds of schoolchildren and locals who had gathered to meet him.

He said: “Hello, it’s nice to see you all”, as he posed for selfies, gave hugs and high fives and chatted with pupils from the nearby Fibbersley Park Academy who had made posters and flags and chanted his name. Aston Villa supporter William seemed particularly impressed by a poster made by a pupil which referenced his team, which read: “Aston Villa is the best” and gave a thumbs up, while another read: “Hello Prince William, I hope you are a good ref, good luck”.

Inside the grounds, the prince joined a refereeing theory lesson, spoke to course trainers and learned about fouls, whistle tones and flag signalling. He also met professional referee and lieutenant in the British Army, Levi Gray, to hear about her career journey.

Speaking after meeting the prince, she said: “It was brilliant, I am so pleased I could be here and that he could come down and support an event like this.

” We spoke about women in football, which I think is definitely growing, and how different the women’s game is to the men’s in terms of it being a bit more of a family event and a bit more supportive, and spoke about diversity events like this and how important it is that you can see it and believe it.

“We want to be able to see people who are watching football at home or on the sidelines and think ‘ that could be me’. Without events like this where you build representation, that won’t happen”.

Lt Gray said she got into refereeing because there were not many football teams for girls when she was growing up. She added: “I refereed before I joined the Army, I am in the Infantry and there aren’t many women in the Infantry either. With football, I was used to dealing with 22 men on a pitch, so in the Army, I thought I could deal with a team of 30, so I think it has helped me with my own career.

” I got into it because I love football and when I was growing up, girl’s teams weren’t as big where I lived so I couldn’t play, so instead I thought I would do refereeing and I’ve never stopped since. “
