Kelly Brook reveals how her grandma’s advice changed her views on becoming a mum

With husband Jeremy Parisi, Kelly Brook and her husband, Jeremy, are living in London together and have two children. In order to live a life without regrets, Kelly Brook must first accept her decision to stop having children. The presenter, who turned 45 in November, is back in North London after selling up and leaving the 15th-century Kent country house she bought in her twenties.

Kelly has a distinct sense of contentment about her now that she’s settled (but still incredibly busy working six days a week on Heart Radio). She reveals that some very touching words from a member of her family contributed to this. “When I asked my grandma if she regretted anything in life, because that’s what you ask octogenarians, she said — very honestly — that her biggest regret was having children”, she says when she sits down for an exclusive chat with Mirror’s Notebook magazine.

“I wasn’t expecting it, but she definitely said it! She believed that having children was a significant portion of her life. I thought, ‘ What an absolutely honest, incredible answer, ‘ and I think I needed to hear it. I was about 36 at the time and thinking, ‘ God, am I ever going to have children? If so, maybe I should just get on with it now? ‘ Then I thought, ‘ Actually, I don’t think I want them, ‘ and hearing that somebody had regrets, and that I might not regret not having children, made me feel really happy about my choice”.

Her grandma’s honesty, she says, almost gave her permission to accept that being a woman without children doesn’t mean a life full of regret — in fact, it can mean the opposite. “You can change most things in life, can’t you? You can change where you live, you can change your relationships, you can get divorced, you can move on, things can change a lot. What doesn’t change is having children, because that’s the one constant thing — once you have children, you can’t change that.

” Once you’re a mother, you’re a mother for life. I’m a dog mum, but I’m going to be a dog mum for 15 years, so it’s not the same. As someone who’s probably not going to have children, it’s hard to think about regrets now, because what am I going to regret? that I moved to the UK after selling my LA home? Well, there’s nothing stopping me from moving back to LA. If I regret something, I’ll just go back and change it! “

Kelly Brook
Kelly purchased a new pad in North London (Reach PLC) for the incredible Kent home.

Kelly has been a breath of fresh air as well as a voice of reason for many women over her nearly 30-year career as a model, presenter, and actress. She has always been open and honest about her body and the work she has done to keep her curves healthy. Since 2018, she’s also been an ambassador for SlimFast and, to this day, still uses its shakes and snacks to help her stay” on track”.

” I’m not trying to be anything other than I am, “she tells us”. I’ve never been that way because I’m very outward-looking and not really care that much about how I look every day. I love my garden, I love going out walking, I’m not forever taking selfies and looking in the mirror, or out shopping for clothes. However, I am aware that I must be healthy and fit in order to function and carry out my duties.

Even though she was working hard in her Kent home and garden, she eventually slipped from a size 12 to a size 16, which is when she first introduced SlimFast to her routine after returning to the UK after living in Los Angeles. Any extra weight lands on her boobs, she says, which is the last thing she needs as she trains for this year’s London Marathon.

“I had to wear these incredible sports bras and lubricate everything so there’s no chafing when I went for a 6km run yesterday.” “she grins”. So I’m just not comfortable being heavier, I’m too much of an active person. Your metabolism slows down, and hormones and advancing age mean you need to be a little more aware of what you eat and how you live.

Kelly claims that the restored medieval farmhouse, where she had lived up until recently, was where she had lived a “relatively reclusive” life. However, when she realized she no longer needed it when she met her now-husband, Jeremy, in 2014, she realized when she was still living in LA.

A safe haven, far from the demands and sporadic chaos of her life as a model, was provided by the enormous garden that Kelly lovingly cultivated herself with the aid of the odd man and an industrial lawn mower. Gardening became her way of healing from trauma, she says.

I would just go out and prune the rosebushes, plant some vegetable beds, or sprinkle some wildflower seeds when I was experiencing stress or, you know, if I was going through a relationship break-up or people would criticize me.

“Every aspect of that garden is probably connected to some trauma in my life,” I said. Do you know what? I asked myself when I went out to buy lots of water lilies. Because it was such a s**t day, and somehow I managed it, today would be a great day to make my pond look like Giverny [the home of artist Claude Monet].

” That’s how I would process things and deal with things, it was so healing. But when I met my husband, he became my sanctuary, along with my dog, and I’d never had that before. “

The Great Outdoors are a favorite pastime for Kelly and Jeremy.

Kelly and Jeremy, 39, started dating in 2015 and, after returning home, she once again sought solace in her timber-framed Wealden farmhouse, which she’d lovingly — and expensively — restored herself. But now that Jeremy is with her, she realized it was time to reintegrate herself into the hustle and bustle of London, despite her love of rural life.

We were excited to move to London, I was excited to work on the radio, and I wanted to just be a little more connected to people. When I first moved in, I initially assumed that Coronation Street was where I lived because people would suddenly knock on my door and take me for a dog walk. “Being around people was really refreshing as opposed to just wandering around without seeing a soul!” For many years, I lived a little like a recluse.

Highlighting just how much that chapter was closing, Kelly didn’t just sell the home, she sold everything in it, too. The knock-on effect, she tells us, is a rather sparse and mismatched collection of furniture in their new home. But it has a garden, so she’s happy. “We have nothing now”, she says, laughing. “Well, we have bits and pieces but nothing matches. I’ve got three chairs around the table, not even four or six. Everything is jumbled. We are undoubtedly beginning a new chapter, and we are attempting to define what that means.

” But in terms of the garden, I have actually done some work. We’ve just thrown down loads of spring bulbs, so that will be really colourful, and we’ve got some lovely camellias. I want it to have a bit of a Cotswolds, modern-country vibe, so we’ve got some bay trees, some lavender and lots of lovely roses, which hadn’t been pruned so I’ve cut them back very hard and I’m not sure if I’ve done it too much, but we’ll see! “

Kelly says she’s never been ‘ obsessed ‘ with how she looks but it’s important she’s healthy

The model and his wife Kelly’s appearance on Celebrity Race Across the World last summer helped the public get to know Italian model Jeremy a little bit. In a three-part miniseries Kelly and Jeremy: La Vita Italiana, which was shot on Jeremy’s family farm in Southern Italy, the couple also gave an insight into their relationship in November.

While looking into a possible relocation to Arpino, where they got married in 2022, the pair found a routine on the olive farm, picking up the olives from the 7, 000-odd trees, and feeding the chickens. While a move isn’t on the cards for now, Kelly says she’d love to explore introducing the family’s produce to the UK market, and wouldn’t rule out them tackling a bigger project over there such as a house renovation.

” We do love the lifestyle, and the food and the people, so we’d love to spend more time there. And it was lovely to introduce Jeremy to the British audience on the program because few people are familiar with him. I’m not sure we’d be able to pull off an Italian version of Clarkson’s Farm, but maybe renovating one of the farm buildings, that could be quite a fun TV opportunity. “

Home Bargains shopper frenzy as rare Coca-Cola flavour is just £1.99

Coca-Cola enthusiasts may want to head to their local Home Bargains location to purchase a rare, lime-flavored version of the beverage that has returned after 17 years of being discontinued.

The price of the drink, which is only available at Home Bargain stores, has recently fallen by an Eagle-Eye shopper. The discovery was shared by Jo, who posts under the TikTok username @millennialdiscoversstuff. In a one-minute video, which has since gone viral with over 60, 000 views, Jo takes viewers on a shopping tour of her local Home Bargains.

The video, captioned “Shopping at Home Bargains Today”, showcases a range of bargains, from food to pyjamas and home accessories. However, what really caught everyone’s attention was the rare Coca-Cola Lime, priced at £1.99.

One of the few stores that offers the exclusive Coca-Cola flavored beverage (Andrew Teebay Liverpool Echo) is Home Bargains, which offers the lowest price on the market.

The video quickly sparked a flurry of excitement in the comments section, with one user saying, “Need to try that Lime Coca-Cola”, and another adding, “Amazing Home Bargains finds. Need to go”. Home Bargains, known for its motto “Top Brands, Bottom Prices”, has gained popularity for offering branded goods at lower prices than many of its competitors. The store has gone viral recently, with shoppers spotting rare items and even designer-inspired homeware.

According to reports from Grocer, Coca-Cola Line flavour returned after a 17-year absence in the market. Despite the zero-sugar free version remaining available up until 2018, it was discontinued in 2007. It was introduced in 2005.

After almost two decades, the Lime flavoured was brought back earlier this year in 300ml, 500, 1.75L and 8x330ml formats. Coca-Cola Senior Brand Manager, Charlotte Walsham said: ‘ We’re always looking to innovate and offer fans more of the flavours they love. With the release of Coca-Cola Lime, we’re excited to continue expanding our flavor portfolio in the wake of the wildly popular relaunch of new flavors last year. Coca-Cola fans can now enjoy their favorite original beverage with a tangy, citrus twist.

For those looking to grab a bottle, the 1.75-litre Coca-Cola Lime is priced at £2.50 at Sainsbury’s, which appears to be the only supermarket stocking it at the moment. Additionally, the zero-sugar version is available for £2 in Tesco, though it comes in a 2-litre bottle.

This Morning beauty expert raves about ‘game changer’ £39 serum that combats puffy eyes

Caffeine isn’t just a pick-me-up for your morning routine, it’s also making waves in the beauty world, as revealed on This Morning by beauty guru Nadine Baggott. She praised a “game changer” skincare product that uses caffeine to treat common skin problems, along with hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

Nadine shared how caffeine acts as a vasoconstrictor, reducing blood vessels near the skin’s surface, thus helping to lessen puffiness, redness, and those pesky dark circles under the eyes. Following the show, she added that “these all make sense and there is science behind these actions, not just wishful thinking,” and that she had also taken to social media to further explain that “if you understand that caffeine is a mild vasoconstrictor.”

In her spotlight was Dr. Idriss ‘ The Depuffer, a ‘ miracle gel ‘ hailed by users for erasing dark circles and suitable for every skin type, reports OK!.

READ MORE: I was asked by 16 famous people what they should have in a must-have beauty product.

Despite its £39 price tag, which is steeper than some competitors like The Ordinary’s 5% Caffeine Solution, The Depuffer boasts an innovative applicator, described by the brand as ‘ the first face roller that actively rolls away your problems’.

Nadine said on the daytime talk show, “Dr. Idriss is a brand-new American dermatologist that has just come to the UK. Although The Depuffer, it also removes redness from the skin. It costs more because it has a little cooling applicator and is a super cheap ingredient, but you can use it all over your face to combat redness and puffiness in the morning when you’re feeling a little puffy. Besides caffeine, it has other components, but one of them is the main ingredient.

Additionally, the Dr Idriss serum contains arnica for decreasing apparent swelling, along with centella asiatica to combat visible face redness. Dr. Idriss’ clinical trials have demonstrated that The Depuffer quickly reduces under-eye puffiness and skin redness, with long-term effects being observed.

The formula has earned accolades from major beauty awards, including Allure’s Best of Beauty and Harper’s Bazaar Anti-Aging Skincare Awards. On the Dr Idriss website, it earned a 4.59 star rating, with shoppers praising the powerhouse product. One wrote: “The Depuffer is a game-changer for my tired eyes and rosy cheeks! Within minutes of use, the applicator feels amazing on the skin, and it seriously reduces the redness.

Another praised it as a “miracle gel,” saying, “I’ve had deep dark eye circles for five years and redness on my cheeks my entire life that almost made me look like a crypt keeper. Looking forward to this little beauty, Depuffer has completely changed my life. My dark circles have disappeared – like gone, gone! I can’t believe it.

My cheeks are now more obscure, making my face a shade lighter. I can’t recall a time in my 40 years where my face wasn’t flushed or colored three different colors. Without a doubt, this little beauty will change the way I travel. One for my purse and one for my vanity are always included. Absolute game changer, please don’t ever mess with this amazing formula. “

However, others have been disappointed in the serum’s consistency, adding:” I had very big expectations but it leaves a sticky residue on my skin that I don´t like at all. “

Meanwhile, a fourth penned:” I started using this product about 2 months ago. I quickly noticed a significant decrease in the redness on my face after about ten days. My husband even noticed and expressed his surprise at how youthful and clear my skin looked (without asking). I can apply makeup without first applying a green color corrector to the redness until I have almost nothing left. If you have redness on your face, I highly recommend this product for you. This is the only product that fulfills its promises, despite its apparent price.

If you’re looking for something more affordable, Nadine rates The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG 30ml. She stated, “This is gold standard at a reasonable price given that the majority of studies on caffeine topically are done is 5%.” It basically shrinks the blood vessels, removing redness and puffiness, and removing dark circles as a result.

The Facial Massage Roller can be purchased at Beauty Bay for £20 if you already have a favorite product you like but want to change your skincare routine. It massages the skin, releases tension in the face, and contours your features to improve the complexion’s overall appearance.

The Geske 4-in1 Sonic Facial Roller, which is currently reduced from £39.95 to £27.97, is a more advanced version of a sophisticated cosmetic. It is guided by a Smart app that gently massages and firms the delicate skin around your eyes. It uses SmartSonic Pulsation Technology to tighten and smooth, and gives 14000 sonic pulses a minute to reduce puffiness, fine lines and dark circles. Or you can purchase Dr. Idriss The Depuffer, Nadine’s top pick, here for £39.

Anthea Turner calls off her wedding for FOURTH time after personal tragedies

According to reports from today, Anthea Turner’s wedding to Mark Armstrong has been postponed four times.

Friends are now said to be unconvinced the TV presenter, 64, will ever marry her long-term partner after repeatedly scrapping plans. However, since Mark proposed in 2019, a series of personal tragedies have put paid to dreams.

In recent years, Mark and Anthea have experienced the trauma of losing their mothers, which causes the wedding bells to stop chiming. Vid also hampered plans, but it’s not clear what led to the fourth glitch.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, former GMTV host Anthea said: “We feel like we’re married. But why it hasn’t happened is my mum died, and Mark’s mum died, then there was Covid and then we moved in together properly”.

Anthea, who has hosted Blue Peter for two years, addressed reporters this week at the London restaurant’s Undercroft Mayfair launch party. TV chef Aldo Zill is the chef.

The presenter, who was raised in Stoke-on-Trent, said she had pencilled in a date in 2022 to marry 59-year-old businessman Mark. It was scheduled to take place in Italy, but it was postponed until 2023 when Britain replaced the location.

Speaking at the event in Mayfair, Anthea added: “We keep telling friends, ‘ Oh, we will sort it out. ‘ Maybe we’ll get married on vacation, take a trip, and let everyone know.

Yet, no new date has been set for the ceremony, which would make Mark Anthea’s third husband. When she was 30, Anthea married her manager, former DJ Peter Powell. They divorced in 1998 after an eight-year marriage.

Then, TV’s golden girl, who has also fronted Top of the Pops, married businessman Grant Bovey in 2000. Anthea and Grant, who was CEO of Imagine Homes, split in 2012 and divorced in October 2015.

Anthea presented Blue Peter from September 14, 1992 to June 27, 1994, often alongside John Leslie, Diane-Louise Jordan and Tim Vincent. Stuart Miles would follow her and spend almost five years on the show.

Boots reduces ‘heavenly’ perfume to £28 that ‘makes people compliment you’

A perfume that is now a bargain at just £28 in Boots is being raved about by shoppers. The $28 option might be a good choice for those on the lookout for a new scent this year that not only smells “beautiful” but also looks “gorgeous” as well.

REM Eau de Parfum, a pop sensation and “Widder” star Ariana Grande, is the star of the fragrance, which has received rave reviews. Currently, on the Boots website, it’s on offer for £28.66, down from its original price of £43 for a 50ml bottle, allowing customers to pocket a saving of £14.34.

There’s also a 30ml version available, priced at £28.05. However, with just a 61p difference, it makes more sense to opt for the larger 50ml bottle.

Ariana Grande’s REM perfume is characterized as “an intergalactic dream of femininity and power” with a “cosmic blend of juicy fig and warm salted caramel” It also features notes of lavender essence, marshmallow, tonka bean, pear blossom, musk, and sandalwood.

The bottle design is equally impressive, resembling a crystallised purple geode, guaranteed to make a statement on any dressing table, reports Bristol Live. A remarkable 96% of shoppers recommend the REM perfume to a friend, who has received a stellar 4.6% out of 5 rating.

One review, aptly titled “Heaven”, gushes: “It smells amazing, and I want to marry it”. Another customer urges: “Everyone should buy this asap because it’s smells amazing”. A third shares their adoration: “I have never loved a perfume this much.”! And yet another adds: “The smell is very fresh and sweet. The packaging is even better”.

One person even said they’d “sell an arm and a leg for” the perfume (Target)

One enthusiast wrote, “I bought this a while ago, and the 50ml lasted me a while, and I was pleased by the compliments I received while wearing the perfume.” Wearing this perfume has received so many compliments. My boyfriend claims that wearing it, he could smell me down the road all the way down.

Another pleased customer expressed satisfaction by saying, “It has a really strong smell that sends out sweet and dreamy sent to it. The colors are perfect, and the packaging and style are so aesthetic.

Nonetheless, not everyone was entirely pleased. A certain buyer expressed disappointment: “I expected the exterior design of the perfume itself to be made of glass, like the actual bottle but it wasn’t and was a cheap, lightweight plastic.

Ariana Grande
The Wicked star’s perfume has plenty of glowing reviews

The perfume is borderline more masculine than feminine, “my only gripe,” said one woman. Meanwhile, a second critic said: “Absolutely stunning packaging however, the scent is atrocious. It’s incredibly strong, makes me sneeze and itch”!

For those seeking alternatives to Ariana Grande’s fragrance line, which includes Thank U Next and Cloud, numerous options abound. Superdrug offers Sabrina Carpenter’s Me Espresso perfume for £39.99.

On Amazon, customers can find Eilish by Billie Eilish retailing at £31.20, boasting 4.6 stars out of five. And at Debenhams, Britney Spears ‘ Midnight Fantasy perfume has seen a price drop from £43 to £18.
