Location, Location, Location’s Kirstie Allsopp’s partner reported to council over ‘safety concerns’

Kirstie Allsopp ‘ s partner of 20 years, Ben Andersen, is facing a battle against his council and London neighbours.

The Location, Location, Location star’s partner bought a new pub in November 2023, but local residents have made complaints to Kensington and Chelsea council over safety and planning permission concerns. Residents of the borough have reportedly hired a street enforcement team to look over the building, but they haven’t yet appeared content.

One local complained to the council about the open external cellar doors and the placement of bags of topsoil outside, claiming that “it causes inconvenience for pedestrians and raises genuine safety concerns.” The “pavement is used for storing construction debris” outside the pub, according to them.

Ben Andersen, who’s been with Kirstie for two decades, was accused of unsafe construction, unauthorised changes, and incorrect planning applications (Google Maps)

The resident pleaded with the council to “treat this matter with utmost urgency” and expressed concern that schoolchildren might be frightened of passing the site while the school is in session.

Some locals worry about permission not being granted for all works, with some speculating that Andersen’s development company was moving the kitchen into the cellar without permission, in addition to safety concerns.

One complainant claimed that, despite the planning application failing to expressly acknowledge these intentions, “over the Christmas period, I observed significant amounts of topsoil and large concrete stones being removed from the site.

Locals were told, “There is one rule for the Allsopps and another rule for the rest of us,” they continued.

In December, Kirstie’s partner submitted a new application for extra work, and residents claimed he’d filled it in incorrectly. One snidely noted: “Maybe Kirstie Allsop’s got so many places, she’s losing track of her properties faster than I lose socks on laundry day”! The Mirror has contacted Kirstie’s representative for comment.

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) has previously been the subject of drama for Ben and Kirstie. The couple share two sons, alongside Ben’s two children from a previous relationship. After sharing that she was allowing son Oscar, then 15, to travel for three weeks with a 16-year-old friend, Kirstie revealed that she had been reported to the council in August.

Kirstie claimed that it was “a malicious call, made by someone who was obviously trying to upset me.” She added: “Social services should have recognised that and dealt with it, accordingly, malicious calls are actually an element with all social services”.

The council service had the opportunity to speak for what the presenter described as “utterly bizarre.” Kirstie continued, claiming that social services “would have treated me in exactly the same way had I been an ordinary member of the public” in support of the theory that her TV success was to blame for the complaint.

Oscar’s trip, which he then celebrated with his GCSEs, shocked Kirstie. She complained: “There’s generations of people who have travelled very freely all over the place, and now there’s this group of people, who are terrified and who are restricting their teenagers”.

Only Fools and Horses star had almost 30 year relationship with on-screen child

A cast member of An Only Fools and Horses and their on-screen son from the BBC sitcom had a long-term relationship.

In 1988, Tessa Peake-Jones made her first appearance as Raquel Turner. The character was first mentioned in the Dates special as a potential partner for Derek “Del Boy” Trotter (played by David Jason) and is said to have been a guest star at the beginning of the film. She however became a regular character.

Del Boy and Raquel’s son, Damien Trotter, were born without parents. Various actors played Damien over the years, including Tessa’s then-partner Douglas Hodge, who portrayed him as an adult in a dream sequence in 1996.

As previously reported by the Mirror, in the memorable scene from that episode, Heroes and Villains, Damien’s uncle Rodney Trotter (Nicholas Lyndhurst) dreams of a dystopian future where an adult Damien dominates the Western world. Damien dominates Trotters Independent Traders while also swaying over the other characters in the sequence.

When Douglas first joined the cast, he had a long-term relationship with his mother Tessa, who later appeared in films like Black Mirror and Joker. They ended their relationship more than 25 years ago, according to the Express, and the former coworkers now have two children.

According to legend, the former couple allegedly started dating in 1984, either of them having both been cast on Only Fools and Horses. After dating for almost 30 years, Tessa and Douglas are said to have broken up in 2012.

Confirming the pair’s separation, as previously reported, a spokesperson for them issued a statement in 2013. According to the statement, “I can confirm that Tessa and Douglas separated in the autumn of last year through a mutual and friendly agreement and that they will continue to raise their two children together.”

Tessa continued to appear in the beloved TV series despite only making an appearance in the 1996 special Only Fools and Horses. She was in two further specials, including Time on Our Hands, the same year that Heroes and Villains was broadcast.

She then returned for the revival specials, which aired in the early 2000s. Tessa’s final role as Raquel came in the Sleepless in Peckham special, which marked the final episode of the sitcom that aired on the BBC in 1981. According to previous reports, the Trotter siblings’ final episode learned that their late Uncle Albert (Buster Merryfield) had left them each £145, 000 after wisely investing the money they had saved from the Trotter family.

Molly-Mae Hague seen looking at photo of herself kissing Tommy Fury

Molly-Mae Hague was left exclaiming “Oh god” and “This is so bad” after she was photographed kissing ex-fiancé Tommy Fury on New Year’s Eve.

The reality couple first started dating each other when they appeared on ITV’s Love Island in 2019. After that, they engaged in a five-year romance that included their daughter Bambi’s birth in January 2023 and a romantic proposal six months later.

Fans were therefore blindsided last year when Molly-Mae, 25, revealed she and Tommy had decided to pull the plug on her relationship. With her Amazon Prime series Molly-Mae: Behind It All, the young mother is now allowing fans even more access to her personal life by appearing on a reality show.

Fans of Molly-Mae and Tommy, 25, were stunned this month to read reports that they had reunited on New Year’s Eve and shared a kiss. Molly-Mae appears to not be aware of the reports, who are also captured on camera reading an entire article about the incident.

The reality ace responded to a (Amazon Prime) article about herself.

Staring at photos of herself with Tommy, the TV star exclaims: “Oh my god… No, my god. What”?! She is then heard saying: “Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury kiss on New Year’s Eve… That is so bad”.

The couple’s former partners reportedly got married in 2025, according to a source who has previously explained their relationship to The Sun. They claimed: “Things are still delicate but they’ve had some long, difficult conversations over the past few weeks and, finally, are in a great place.

” Molly-Mae decided to invite Tommy fairly last minute. It was all very low-key. It’s obvious that the pair still have a strong physical attraction despite being extremely flirty all night. As the compère counted down midnight, they were completely over each other.

But the source also added:” But Molly-Mae isn’t ready to launch into something officially yet. She has endured a lot of pain over the past six months, and it’s understandable that she feels burned.

Indeed, in her documentary, Molly-Mae is shown explaining how hard she is finding it to move on in life without Tommy as her romantic partner. She tells the cameras:” Tommy and I still have been communicating, because of Bambi.

“I will always respect him, being the father of my child, but… Being friends and keeping it amicable, like, all the time… It is hard”.

However, some fans have questioned whether their split is just a publicity stunt and an attempt to pique interest in her solo reality show. Why wouldn’t they want to share the happy news with their fans if they announced their split, which presumably was sad news for them, with such fanfare, according to a source close to the couple?

You’d think they would want to let the world know that they are back together and that their reputation is intact. It doesn’t add up. Tommy told Men’s Health that he and his partner had a drinking problem, and they split up.

He claimed that because I became dependent on alcohol and couldn’t be the person I wanted to be anymore, Molly and I broke up. It kills me to say it,]but] it’s true, I couldn’t. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink, and it is what it is. We all have our crosses to bear in life, and everyone goes through them. I’ve got mine. “

Caroline Flack’s friends ‘devastated’ over claims in new documentary

Caroline Flack’s friends are reportedly “devastated” after their relationship with her family broke down.

One of her pals hit back after Caroline’s mum, Christine, questioned why the TV host was left alone in her flat on the night of her suicide. The new documentary, which will be shown on Disney+ later this year, follows Christine as she “attempts to uncover the truth” about the circumstances leading up to her daughter’s tragic death at the age of 40. Numerous of Caroline’s close friends and family members testify directly in the documentary.

Even though I am aware that it will be difficult, Christine Flack said, “I still have so many questions about what happened to Caroline in her final months.” In the hope of giving Carrie’s story more clarity and understanding, not just for herself, but for everyone who was interested in her, I’m pleased to be collaborating with the Curious Films team once more.

In light of new reports that the grieving mother had cut off Caroline’s friends despite previously being close to them, some of them are said to have been left devastated. The new documentary sparked outrage from Caroline’s pals, who feel they are being treated unfairly despite doing everything in their power to assist her as the fifth anniversary of her passing draws near.

Caroline’s mum Christine has questioned the events surrounding her daughter’s death

According to The Mail, a close friend of famous hairdresser Lou Teasdale, who was with Caroline hours before she passed away, inquired as to why it was “down to” her to look after her. They said: “Where was her family”? The friend added: “Louise had to get back to her young daughter, she couldn’t stay any longer. They attempted to take Caroline to the hospital, but she refused because Lou and her pal Mollie Grosberg had been there for hours.

” They remained at her flat to make sure she was OK but they couldn’t stay there indefinitely, so they went. Formerly, Christine was so close to Lou, but she is no longer.

Caroline's Love Island replacement Laure Whitmore was referred to as 'the girl who took over' by Christine
Laure Whitmore, Caroline’s Love Island replacement, was referred to as “the girl who took over” by Christine (Dave Benett/Getty Images for EE).

Meanwhile, Mollie has previously said she would ‘ never get over ‘ what happened that night. She stated in an interview with BBC Breakfast in 2021 that “everyone who was close to her probably thinks about her every day.” “The Mail’s source added about Mollie:” She was a good friend to Caroline. She would have offered anything to help her.

Christine also slammed ITV’s choice to switch Caroline to friend Laura Whitmore for Love Island on the show. Carrie was Carrie’s role in Love Island, she told The Sun. Now, it’s terrible when the girl who replaced her appears in the same outfit and pose almost exactly. I think ITV2 could have done it a little differently. They could have done it out of respect. “

After the Independent Office of Police Conduct urged the Met to reopen its investigation into the case against the tragic TV star, Christine’s tireless efforts to uncover the truth came a step closer. The watchdog has recommended the force’s Directorate of Professional Standards interview an officer who was at Caroline’s 2019 arrest, shortly before she killed herself.

I’m A Celeb’s GK Barry ‘felt pressure’ to have cosmetic surgery in candid admission

Former I’m A Celebrity campmate GK Barry has shared that she has “felt pressure” to change her appearance.

The content creator, 25 – who’s real name is Grace Keeling – rose to fame on social media platform TikTok, where she has 4 million followers. More recently, she appeared on the latest series of the ITV reality show, which aired last year.

She’s now opened up about feeling a sense of responsibility to her supporters. GK also discussed the viewers’ “quite bad” acne reaction to her during a recent interview in the Australian jungle about a month ago.

GK told the Sun’s Fabulous magazine that given her “young audience,” she feels the need to “set an example.” She continued: “Saying: ‘ I won’t have work done, ‘ is important”.

The host of the Saving Grace podcast said, “I want people to see someone who has always looked in this industry.” I’ve been subjected to pressure, particularly comments about my nose. However, she asserted that people should undergo surgery because they want it, not because others think otherwise.

She also discussed reducing her makeup usage and learning to appreciate her natural skin. GK made the suggestion in a video message to TikTok fans that her diet in the jungle had “cleared” her skin after she left I’m A Celebrity in December. She teased in the post at the time: “So if you’ve got acne, just eat rice and beans”.

She has said her makeup routine has changed and that she hasn’t had cosmetic surgery (WireImage).

Whilst speaking to the magazine, she recalled having been “scared” that viewers would “take the mick” over her acne, which she described as “quite bad”. However, GK claimed that once she left the jungle, people texted her and said she made them feel more at ease about their skin.

When she’s not on TV, the former campmate claims that she now wears less makeup. GK again made fun of the skin condition’s “cleared up” symptoms and warned people who are “struggling” with their skin to travel to Australia and follow the campmates’ diet.

The guest panelist for Loose Women discussed having cosmetic surgery with the Express last year. She told the outlet that doing so would “contradict” the message of her social media “brand”. She said: “I think because my brand is so, like, being natural and being myself and whatever and taking the p*** out myself, I think]going under the knife] would contradict that if I ever got anything done so I probably wouldn’t”.

Grace told The Sun on Sunday that they both want to settle down and have children, saying: “One day, it’s going to happen. Not yet. We’re both set on doing well in our careers. Then she’ll get down on one knee”!

GK joked that a common occurrence almost prefigured their blossoming romance when the social media influencer criticized one of Ella’s favored dishes. The football player reportedly only eats “mince and eggs,” which GK calls “a little icky”

GK also discussed how she transitioned from working in Costa to being a panelist on Loose Women in an interview. The 25-year-old admitted that her parents were concerned about her “normal” packing before committing to her media career.

The film studies graduate said she started to upload TikTok videos during the pandemic, discussing her “uni experiences, exes and nights out”, but didn’t think anybody would watch them. In just six months, GK amassed an incredible 100k viewers, surpassing the one million milestone.

GK now looks forward to reuniting with her jungle bestie Rev Richard for an upcoming project after her I’m A Celeb stint. She has also set her sights on 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, as well as heading out on her upcoming Saving Grace tour, which kicks off in September.
