Katie Price has broken her silence on claims she’s split with her boyfriend, JJ Slater. The glamour icon, 46 and Married At First Sight star, 31, have been dating for more than a year, however fans thought the couple may have secretly called it a day after noticing the pair had not appeared on each other’s Instagram for a while as well as not spending Christmas together.

Last week, Katie’s rep told the Mirror the couple were very much together and “continuing as normal”. However, on Married At First Sight guru Paul C.Brunson’s latest podcast, the Pricey made a cryptic comment about her relationship.

When told by Paul she should feel “free” and “happy” with a partner, she said: “I’ve never had that in any relationship. Never had any of them.

“And JJ, he’s the most kind, genuine, easygoing, chilled person. But do I feel my happiest and do I feel free? No. It’s not a reflection on him, maybe that’s what I need to change for myself.”

Paul, who is one of the experts on Married At First Sight UK, told her: “You need some time to yourself because you have to experience what freedom feels like.”

Katie explained: “Freedom to me is like when I took my kids to Thailand for a month, just me and them. We felt free. Just little life experiences, seeing things, taking them to little adventures.”

The OnlyFans star, who has been married three times, then added: “I just don’t want to answer to anyone, I want them to fit in with me.”

Speaking of her concerns for her relationship with JJ, she continued: “When you meet someone, it’s natural to want to be with them all the time. Then the mistakes I’ve made in the past are then you’re with them all the time.

“It becomes literally 24/7 because I’ve never been out with someone who’s had a nine to five job.”

She went on: “They’ve always had a job where, I suppose it’s adaptable that they come with me. So in the beginning, that’s all nice, but then you get into the habit of they’re about too much, to the point you start not seeing your friends, because you’re with them all the time, and then you get into this situation where they’re so used to being with you all the time that then when you do say, ‘I’m gonna go and see a friend,’ it doesn’t seem normal because you haven’t done it.

“So I’m a bit worried that I’ve got like that with JJ.”

Despite her misgivings about spending too much time with JJ, in her recent podcast with her sister, Sophie, Katie admitted that the reality star was “The One”.

It hasn’t always been easy for the couple, though, as the former Married at First Sight contestant got a rough ride from his future brother-in-law. Harry Brooks, who is married to Katie’s sister Sophie.

When JJ, who shacked up with Ella Morgan, on Married At First Sight, after failing to click with his telly bride, Bianca, into the family group chat, Harry mused: “What… another one?”

Next’s breezy denim-look trousers are the cooling jeans alternative you’ll be wearing on repeat

If you’ve been struggling with dressing for the heatwave, we’ve found a pair of denim-look trousers from Next that are the perfect cooling alternative to jeans

Next’s denim-look trousers are perfect for summer dressing(Image: Next)

If, like me, you’re a big denim jeans fan but hate the thought of wearing something so hot and rigid in the heatwave, you’ll be pleased to hear about Next’s latest trouser drop. Enter the Mid Blue Linen Blend Wide Leg Denim Trousers, a denim/trouser hybrid that looks as put-together as wearing a pair of jeans, but feels just as breezy and comfortable as a floaty pair of trousers.

This style of trousers has been cropping up a fair amount of the past few months, and we’re not mad about it. You may have seen Rag and Bone’s viral ‘sweatpant jeans’ on your socials, but at £195, that’s a pretty steep price to pay for essentially a pair of tracksuit bottoms. And Next’s pair are priced at a slightly more wallet-friendly £48.

River Island also dropped a similar style with their Wide Leg Pyjama Style Jeans, £42, a slouchy, relaxed pair of “jeans” that feel as comfortable as pyjamas. These ones are available in classic blue, black and cream.

The linen/cotton blend makes this pair far cooler than traditional denim, which is especially a lifesaver in the heatwave. The wide-leg cut gives them a flattering fit, while the pleated waistband adds structure that makes them feel more put together.

They fasten with a normal button and zip, but also feature handy subtle side adjusters so you can adjust the fit just right. And if the mid-blue colour isn’t your style, there’s a slightly deeper blue version to shop instead.

Whether you’re commuting in for a relaxed office day, heading out for a weekend brunch with your friends or off for a spontaneous post-work drink, these lightweight and stylish trousers are perfect for virtually everything.

Alternatively, if you’re after a more affordable pair, New Look has some Blue Drawstring Waist Denim Trousers for £26.99 that feel as comfy as trousers but have a similar denim effect.

Meghan Markle talks ‘getting her hands dirty’ as she braces for new family upset

The Duchess of Sussex has released the seventh episode in her Confessions of a Female Founder podcast series – and revealed how university helped her prepare for running a business

Meghan spoke about building up her brand in her new podcast episode(Image: The Drew Barrymore Show)

Meghan Markle has spoken about ‘getting her hands dirty’ while building up a brand in the latest episode of her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder. The Duchess sat down for a conversation with Heather Hasson, the founder of FIGS – a billion-dollar company which revolutionised the medical apparel industry.

The two women discussed the challenges of growing a business, and the need to get involved in every aspect in order to succeed. “It can get messy and the best founders are not afraid to get their hands dirty,” Meghan said.

She further spoke about what she had learned during her days at Northwestern University – and how the experience prepared her to be a future founder.

“I was a theater major, and part of the program was that you couldn’t just do the acting. You had to do soup-to-nuts, every part of what a production would entail, which I actually think is incredible training for when you’re running a team because you appreciate what the sound person does and what the lighting person does,” the Duchess said.

“Wardrobe department and sewing were part of it too, so I am comfortable with a sewing machine,” she added, bringing the discussion back to Hasson’s scrubs business.

It comes after it was revealed that Meghan and husband Harry have made some major changes amongst their staff, with the Duchess appointing her first chief of staff – Sarah Fosmo, who will be her most senior adviser as she continues a new shift in career.

Sarah, 45, has an impressive CV; she previously worked for Gates Ventures, Bill Gates’ private office, in executive administration for six years. Before that, she spent seven years working for Tony Robbins, an American motivational speaker, as a senior executive assistant.

Prince Harry also has a new chief of staff after his last pick, Josh Kettler, left after his three-month trial period. Rather than bringing in a new replacement, one of Harry’s most senior members of staff, Lianne Cashin, a former executive assistant and Archewell’s head of operations, has been promoted to a ‘senior consultant’.

She will be responsible for guiding the Duke through the next stage of his post-royal career. According to the Telegraph, she will also have played a pivotal role in arranging Harry’s BBC interview last week, in which he spoke candidly about the ongoing rift with his father King Charles and complained of an “establishment stitch-up” after losing his legal appeal against the Government over security provision.

A source told the publication: “Sarah and Lianne exemplify the strength and vision driving the Duke and Duchess forward.”

But while things are moving forward for Meghan professionally, she is set for another bombshell in her personal life. Her half-brother, Thomas Markle Jnr, has confirmed that he is writing a tell-all book about the Duchess and her childhood. Speaking from the Philippines, where he has relocated with their father, Thomas Markle Snr, he vowed that the book is “gonna be good.”

In an interview with the Mirror, Thomas said: “When my book is finished, ooh it’ll be swooped up real quick cause it’s getting there. I’m working on it. It’s coming out. It’s gonna be good.”

Richard Madeley reveals truth behind youthful looks as he denies making major change

Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Madeley has marked his 69th birthday, but admitted he’s always been accused of one thing when it comes to maintaining his looks as he gets older

Over the years, Richard Madeley has been open about ageing, but he’s constantly denied making one major change that is often spotlighted during his various TV appearances. And at the age of 69, having marked his birthday today (13 May), the Good Morning Britain host has revealed the secret behind his youthful looks.

Richard, who found fame alongside wife Judy Finnigan on ITV’s This Morning, previously spoke about defying ageing on the White Wine Question Time podcast with Kate Thornton. Speaking about his hair, Richard revealed he had light hair as a child before it went darker, but over the past “20 years”, he’s gone grey.

“I’ve been accused of actually dying my hair lighter, which I always happily and honestly refute. I don’t. It’s funny, again, I’ve kind of come full circle!” he laughed.

He revealed his lighter locks are usually from holidaying in the south of France, where he owns a “little place”. The TV star said the “sun lightens” his hair, meaning when he comes back to GMB viewers begin to question if he’s had highlights added to his hair.

Kate noted that Richard could “pass for a man much younger”, but he admitted he thinks he seems youthful due to having aged on camera in front of millions. He told her: “Don’t you think that’s because I’ve not actually ever been off…. So you know, I’m ageing slowly on camera because I haven’t been away for like five years or 10 years.”

The TV host went on to reveal that he does keep an eye on his weight as gets older, saying he feels it’s “important” to keep an eye on the scales as “you get into middle age”.

Elsewhere, Richard spoke about his beloved wife Judy, 76, on the podcast. He revealed she is “really enjoying” no longer being on TV, having stopped regularly appearing of programmes in around 2015. She has since turned her focus to writing novels, including 2023 release Roseland.

Richard admitted that his wife is still finding the time to “challenge” him over different things, but he does feel he “deserves it” most of the time. He added: “I think, to be honest, she challenges me more than I challenge her, but that’s probably because I deserve it.

“I earn it. I think our family and our friends would say that. It tends to be her, you know, pulling me up rather than the other way around.”

Kim Kardashian To Testify In Paris Multi-Million Dollar Robbery Trial

A-list celebrity Kim Kardashian is to testify in a Paris court on Tuesday, an eagerly awaited appearance nearly a decade after masked men robbed her at gunpoint of millions of dollars of jewellery during the French capital’s fashion week.

Ten suspects have been on trial since late April over the armed robbery in 2016, which saw jewellery worth some $10 million stolen from the reality TV star and influencer.

The trial has attracted huge media attention, with close to 500 reporters accredited, and the courthouse on Paris’s historic Ile de la Cite is expected to come under siege from fans hoping for a glimpse of the celebrity.

Kardashian is ready to “confront” her Paris attackers, her lawyers said last week.

“She is committed to attending in person,” French lawyers Leonor Hennerick and Jonathan Mattout told AFP last week, saying she would do so “with dignity and courage”.

She is due to take the stand at 2:00 pm (1200 GMT), and is expected to speak to the press afterwards.

On the night of October 2-3, 2016, Kardashian, then 35, was robbed while staying at an exclusive, discreet hotel in central Paris.

She was threatened with a gun to the head and tied up with her mouth taped.

Lawyers have not divulged what exactly Kardashian, who has been keeping abreast of developments at the trial, will say in her court appearance.

During what the French press has dubbed the “heist of the century”, masked men walked away with millions of dollars’ worth of jewels.

They included a diamond ring given to Kardashian by her then-husband, rapper Kanye West, and valued at 3.5 million euros ($3.9 million).

The theft was the most valuable to target a private individual in France in 20 years.

Those on trial are mainly men in their 60s and 70s with previous criminal records.

They have underworld nicknames like “Old Omar” and “Blue Eyes” that resemble those of old-school French bandits of 1960s and 1970s films noirs.

“They’re quite a team,” said investigator Michel Malecot.

“But they made some mistakes”, he said, notably by leaving DNA that allowed investigators to identify them.

‘Crying hysterically’

Sixty-eight-year-old Aomar Ait Khedache, known as “Old Omar”, has admitted to tying up Kardashian but denies being the mastermind behind the robbery.

Another suspect in the dock, 71-year-old Yunice Abbas, later wrote a book about the heist.

In it he describes how his bag became caught in the wheel of his escape vehicle, a bicycle, causing him to fall off and have to scramble to shove the loot back in the bag.

Investigators said a man called Gary Madar, the brother of Kardashian’s driver in Paris, tipped the suspects off that Kardashian was “in French territory”.

This allegation has been ridiculed by Madar’s lawyer, who remarked that 350 million online followers were already aware of the star’s whereabouts.

The night of the robbery could have gone very differently had Kardashian joined her sister Kourtney and gone clubbing, an idea she entertained before deciding to stay in the hotel, the court heard last week.

Her designated driver, Michael Madar — whose company was billing the Kardashian/West couple up to 400,000 euros per year to provide security — had been working non-stop for 21 hours and asked a colleague to replace him for the trip to the night club.

The replacement, Mohammed Q., and a Kardashian bodyguard, Pascal D., rushed back to the hotel after Kardashian tried to call them and then failed to pick up her phone when they called back.

“I saw that the lift was on the first floor, where Kim was staying,” Pascal D. told the court.

When he found her, Kardashian “was in a terrible state. She was crying hysterically”, he told the court.

“I asked what had happened, and she said she’d been robbed.”

Kardashian, her lawyers said, “is genuinely grateful” for the way the French authorities have handled the investigation, showing her “the utmost respect and consideration”.

The US celebrity, sometimes described as being “famous for being famous”, became well known in the early 2000s through TV reality shows, before launching fashion brands and appearing in a number of films.

She is among the world’s most followed people on Instagram and X.

She has been named among the 100 most influential people by Time magazine, and among the most powerful women by Fortune magazine.

The trial is set to close on May 23.
