Emmerdale star Lisa Riley could finally be set to sign up to I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, after years of turning it down.
The 48-year-old said she is keen to take on the gruesome Bushtucker Trials before her 50th birthday, in a bid to challenge herself.
Speaking to Woman’s Weekly Magazine, she revealed: “I’m A Celebrity is something I would do before I turned 50, as a test for myself. They ask me most years and I wouldn’t rule it out.”
No stranger to a challenge, Lisa reached the semi-final of Strictly Come Dancing alongside the late professional dancer Robin Windsor back in 2012.
While the Australian jungle may not be as glamorous as Strictly, she insists she’s up for the test.
Previously speaking to the Daily Star, she shared: “It’s not because of all the creepy crawlies or the challenges, I actually wouldn’t mind those.”
For now, Lisa will be back on screens this week as part of the soap’s latest dramatic storyline.
Lisa Riley detailed the ‘utter chaos’ set to come in Emmerdale ( ITV)
Sharing details about what’s to come this Valentine’s Day, she told the magazine: “It’s party night. All the girls are glammed up but things go wrong.
“A huge row breaks out in the boys’ limo and there’s utter chaos in the girls’ limo, and both cars separately swerve off the road.
“They’re both packed with people and one of them crashes onto a frozen lake.”
Mandy is amongst 16 other villagers involved in the tragic event, set to leave multiple characters dead and another trapped in the icy waters beneath.
Seemingly confirming the deaths, she went on to tell the outlet: “The crash means that dear, dear friends of mine will be leaving the show, which is always sad.”
In the trailer, chaotic scenes from the accident show passengers being flung around inside the limousine as they scream in terror.
The characters then quickly come to the terrifying realisation that they’re precariously perched on fragile ice covering a frozen lake.
While Mandy’s fate is yet to be determined, Lisa has made it clear that she doesn’t intend to exit the drama for good voluntarily.
Emmerdale continues tonight at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
Something of a “make or break” moment is on the horizon for Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, as she returns home after spending time at the Invictus Games with Prince Harry.
The Games has been taking place in Meghan’s former home of Canada, where she has also enjoyed some quality time with celeb pals amid the sporting competition for former service people.
As she arrives back to California she is said to be at a kind of professional crossroads – a new report has claimed, with her new lifestyle show for Netflix only weeks away from dropping. With Love, Meghan is part of the couple’s multi-year deal with the streaming giant, set to expire later this year, unless all parties agree on a renewal arrangement.
The show, which is focussed on hosting and entertaining tips, will see Meghan help her audience try and elevate normal, everyday things – with the help of famous pals like actress Mindy Kaling, 45, and celebrity chef, Roy Choi, 54.
The eight-part series was set to drop on 15 January, but after wildfires devastated the Los Angeles area – where Meghan grew up – she decided to press pause on its release, reportedly with the full support of Netflix. Instead, the show will be released on 4 March and is said to be accompanied by another massive professional opportunity provided by her partnership with the streaming service.
Last year, Meghan tentatively launched a lifestyle brand – America Riviera Orchard – with an Instagram page and website. Famous pals like reality star Kris Jenner, 69, were the recipients of limited edition homemade jams bearing the fledging company’s logo, but other than some trademarking issues the company has run into, little has been heard of ARO since – until now.
Meghan’s products will reportedly be appearing in brick-and-mortar stores where Netflix aims to sell merchandise relating to its hit shows, and things like olive oil, honey, and jam from Meghan’s company will be included when the doors open. The stores, called Netflix House, will be in Philadelphia’s King of Prussia Mall and the Dallas Galleria.
A source told the Daily Mail that how well Meghan’s offerings sell will be “make or break” for the Duchess, adding that if products don’t sell well they will likely be “quietly” taken off shelves.
“This is make or break for Meghan,” the source was quoted by the outlet saying. “Her new show is rolling out the same time as the Netflix stores open.
“The Netflix stores will offer products and merchandise from all their biggest shows like Squid Game and Stranger Things. This is a big move for Netflix. The first stores are in repurposed department stores inside two of America’s largest malls.
“They will contain an onsite cafe so Meghan’s products like her strawberry jam will be featured on the menu too. This will determine the future for Meghan as a businesswoman. Let’s face it, she hasn’t been that successful so far.”
The source added, “It’s a bigger deal for her than it is for Netflix. If her show doesn’t take off, then her merchandise will be quietly taken off the shelves and replaced with products associated with a more popular show”.

The 76th British Academy Film Awards takes place on Sunday at London’s Royal Festival Hall and will feature winners from a host of top movies, many of which are already available to watch on streaming sites like Netflix and Prime Video.
There are 42 films nominated for awards this year, with the Robbie Williams biopic Better Man, Pixar’s animated Inside Out 2 and the Hugh Grant-starring horror Heretic among those winning a nomination. Seen as an indicator of which movies may go home with Oscars at the Academy Awards on 2 March, the BAFTAs are a highlight of the film calendar, and this year stars including Demi Moore, Succession’s Kieran Culkin, Ralph Fiennes, and Cynthia Erivo are expected to walk the red carpet, while David Tennant returns to host the awards for the second time.
“It’s a lark! The night went past in a bit of a blur last year, but it was so much fun,” he says about hosting the star-studded ceremony. “It feels like a real privilege to be part of it, and to get another crack at something so exciting is a real joy. I also didn’t want anyone to think I hadn’t been asked back, so I thought I’d better say yes! Luckily this is not what I do for my day job – if it all goes wrong I’ll just go back to pretending to be other people.”
So where are this year’s most nominated movies available to watch?

If there’s one thing the Love Island girls know how to do, it’s a flawless makeup routine. The contestants on this year’s Love Island All Stars series have been proving how easy it is to create the perfect glowy complexion despite the South African heat and long days, which is why we’re all ears when they love a product.
A few weeks before heading into the villa, Grace Jackson and her makeup artist Chloe Winter shared a similar look that they’d created that gave Grace a flawless, radiant glow that would be perfect to replicate whilst on the show. One hero product Chloe used was the Yves Saint Laurent NU Bare Look Skin Tint, which is now on sale on LookFantastic down from £28 to £22.40.

Chloe used the Yves Saint Laurent NU Bare Look Skin Tint to create the base of Grace’s beauty look, and although the result was a fuller-coverage finish, the skin tint can also be used to create a much lighter, more natural-looking finish too. The lightweight formula is fully buildable, so you can create a light to medium coverage depending on the result you want.

Infused with hyaluronic acid, the Yves Saint Laurent NU Bare Look Skin Tint is a skincare and makeup hybrid that works as both a tinted moisturiser and a foundation with a breathable, flexible finish. It’s 90% skincare based, and has a water to gel-like texture that hydrates your skin as you wear it.
It lasts for up to 24 hours on your skin, with ultra-fine pigments that create a subtle veil of colour that blends into your natural skin, giving a your-skin-but-better finish. By locking in moisture the YSL NU Bare Look Skin Tint creates a dewy, fresh-looking complexion, which would also make it the perfect product for taking into the Love Island villa.
There are 20 different shades to choose from, and the YSL NU Bare Look Skin Tint has been getting rave reviews from LookFantastic shoppers. “Absolutely love this! It works perfectly and looks great too” wrote one, whilst another added: “Makes skin look perfect and yet still looks natural. Little goes a long way.”

One did comment: “This is more like a moisturiser than a skin tint. Not really worth the money.”
However a fourth reviewer disagreed, writing: “Perfect colour match as I am really pale and is so light on your skin. I hate wearing anything that feels heavy and this is a nice day coverage that lasts and gives a full coverage like a foundation but light.”
Another well-loved skin tint is the Kylie Cosmetics Skin Tint Blurring Elixir Foundation, which is also on sale at LookFantastic down from £26 to £20.80 and has shoppers praising it for being lightweight and easy to apply. Elsewhere, Iconic London’s Super Smoother Blurring Skin Tint, £28, has almost 1000 five star reviews, with one saying: “Very impressed with this smoothing, blurring skin tint, lovely glow and feels luxurious on my skin. Highly recommend!”
Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley has given fans a glimpse into the “sad” conclusion of the soap’s forthcoming double crash disaster. The actress, who plays Mandy Dingle, revealed that she will be bidding farewell to some of her co-stars due to two devastating limousine accidents.
Describing the upcoming scenes, Lisa compared the filming experience to being on “a movie set”. She went on to reveal: “It’s party night. All the girls are glammed up but things go wrong.
“A massive argument erupts in the boys’ limo and there’s complete pandemonium in the girls’ limo, resulting in both cars veering off the road.
“Both vehicles are filled with people and one of them ends up crashing onto a frozen lake.”
Speaking to Woman’s Weekly Magazine, the 48-year-old actress hinted that the aftermath of the accident “will have a lasting impact on the village,” reports Leeds Live.

“The crash results in some of my dear friends leaving the show, which is always heartbreaking,” she confessed. It’s been suggested that several villagers will lose their lives in the tragedy, while another remains trapped beneath the icy depths.
The trailer shows passengers being tossed around in the limo, with characters screaming in terror as the crash takes place. One of the limos ends up stranded on a frozen lake, leading residents to realise they’re treading on thin ice.
The Emmerdale drama is set to explode with 17 characters caught in the mix, including fan-favourites like Mandy, Paddy Kirk (portrayed by Dominic Brunt ), Leyla Harding (played by Roxy Shahidi ), and of course, Cain Dingle ( Jeff Hordley ). While Lisa’s fate hanging in the balance, actress Jane Cox has no intentions of walking away from the Dales.
On the flip side, Jeff Hordley, who brings Cain Dingle to life, voiced his concerns about job security when he chatted with The Sun, confessing, “I’m worried all the time! Not all the time, that’s a little bit over the top.”
He went on to say, “Every time there’s news of this it can unsettle us as a cast because we know the shelf life of characters is not forever in soaps and it’s down to the producers or the writers to steer the ship and take us in the direction they want to take us.”
In a surprising twist, today’s episode of EastEnders – now available on BBC iPlayer – saw the unexpected return of Garry and Minty to celebrate the show’s 40th anniversary.
Iconic soap actors Ricky Groves and Cliff Parisi left viewers gobsmacked with their comeback after a 16-year hiatus. Garry was last spotted in Walford in 2009, departing with his wife Dawn and daughter Summer on their wedding day. Minty exited the following year after parting ways with the ill-fated Heather Trott.
The duo’s comeback was kept under wraps by the soap’s bosses, with scenes showing them surprising Billy at his stag do airing tonight on BBC One. Updating Alfie Moon about his life post-Walford, Garry claimed to be a sports broadcaster residing in a penthouse with two cars.
However, Minty spilled the beans, revealing that he was actually working as a bingo caller and living in Minty’s loft after separating from Dawn. The surprise cameo delighted EastEnders fans on social media. As soap fans rejoice over the return of Garry and Minty, we take a look at other familiar faces scheduled to pop up in Albert Square for the soap’s 40th anniversary special.

Ross Kemp as Grant Mitchell
Earlier this year it was confirmed that Ross Kemp is to return to EastEnders in the role of Grant Mitchell as the BBC soap celebrates its 40th anniversary next year. The 60-year-old last appeared in the show in 2016 but will return to the show in 2025, with his storyline being kept a secret by the BBC, which says it will be “explosive”.
Ross returns to the show as his brother Phil Mitchell struggles with loneliness and his mental health is on the decline. Phil has just seen the pair’s childhood best friend Nigel Bates return to Albert Square over the festive period after almost three decades away. Speaking about his return, Ross said: “I’m delighted to be returning to EastEnders as the show heads towards its 40th anniversary.
“EastEnders has always meant so much to me, so to return as the show is about to celebrate such a special anniversary is an absolute honour. Grant has never been far from the action and, let’s just say, this time is no different as he certainly comes back with a bang.”

The return also comes as Grant’s ex-wife Sharon, who had an affair with his brother Phil in the early 1990s and went on to marry him, is now dating his long-lost cousin, Teddy. Over the years, Grant has been involved in some of the soap’s classic storylines, including his fraught marriage to Tiffany Mitchell (played by Martine McCutcheon).
In 2016, the character returned to the soap for a heartbreaking family reunion to say goodbye to his mother Peggy Mitchell, played by Dame Barbara Windsor, as part of the late star’s exit storyline. Ross initially appeared in the soap for nine years from 1990 to 1999, also returning between 2005 and 2006.
Grant departed in 1999 after Phil fired a gun at a car he was driving causing it to slide into the River Thames when Phil found out that Grant vengefully had sex with his then-wife Kathy Mitchell, but the character was not killed and instead left the Square with his daughter Courtney for a new life in Brazil.
Jamie Winstone as Peggy Mitchell
Actress Jaime Winstone has said it was an “overwhelming feeling” reprising the role of a young Peggy Mitchell for an upcoming EastEnders episode because the matriarch is “such a strong, amazing character”. Jamie, who portrayed Dame Barbara Windsor in 2017 biopic Babs and later took on the actress’s role as the formidable Mitchell matriarch Peggy in a 1979-based flashback episode for EastEnders in 2022, is returning to the BBC soap as part of a mental health storyline.
The episode will see Phil, played by Steve McFadden, experience symptoms of psychosis as his depression continues to take hold, with hallucinations that take him back to the Mitchell family home in 1985, including seeing his mother Peggy in her younger years.
Young Peggy makes a return ( BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron)
Reflecting on her return, Jamie said: “Peggy Mitchell is so iconic: Everybody refers to her still, everybody knows her, and it’s such an honour. When I knew I was going to be reprising the role, at first, you go, ‘wow, this is really exciting’, then you read the context of the script and get into it. We all grew up with Peggy in our front rooms so it’s an overwhelming feeling because she’s such a strong, amazing character.”
Dame Barbara played the head of the Mitchell clan for more than two decades after she joined the long-running soap in 1994 and became one of its biggest stars. The actress died in December 2020 aged 83 after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2014. Jamie played Peggy in a 2022 flashback episode of EastEnders that took viewers back to 1979 which saw Peggy struggling to keep things afloat as her marriage to Eric started to show cracks.
Kellie Bright as Linda Carter
Last week it was revealed that EastEnders legend Linda Carter, played by Kellie Bright, is set to make a sensational return to Walford next week. The character will be back on the square as part of the soap’s 40th anniversary celebrations.
Linda was last seen towards the end of last year, spiralling after a dangerous night of heavy drinking. Her final episode presented a ‘What If?’ scenario where Linda imagined her own death if she didn’t seek help for her alcohol addiction. This led her to check into rehab and she’s been off our screens since then.
But all that changes on Thursday 13 when Linda makes her grand return from rehab. She’ll receive a warm welcome from loved ones, but it won’t all be smooth sailing. Her return coincides with the Knights feeling the heat following Cindy’s dramatic Christmas Day attack.
