Actor Gene Allen has died at the age of 63.

The What’s Love Got To Do With It? star is said to have died ‘suddenly’ at home, according to reports. His family confirmed the actor and rapper died on Wednesday.

Gene, who was known by his nickname Groove, had also appeared in House Party in the 1990s. TMZ reports his death was a “complete shock” to his family, but says no foul play is suspected.

Alongside his acting, Gene was a pioneer in hip hop. He rose to prominence as a member of the trio Groove B. Chill, where he performed alongside Daryl Mitchell and Eric B.

It was on 1990 movie House Party where the band starred alongside Christopher Reid, Robin Harris and Martin Lawrence.

Two years later he featured alongside Eddie Murph and Halle Berry in the 1992 film, Boomerang. Gene played the role of a street performer. He also starred as a club announcer in the Tina Turner biopic titled What’s Love Got to Do with It? in 1993.

He was due to perform on Saturday. He had been promoting his gig on Instagram. Tagging the news, he had wrote: “2025 coming in hot. Get Ready to Party Like Never Before!”

He went on: “We’re excited to bring you the House Party Immersive Tour – a unique experience that combines music, fun, and community spirit! Ever wanted to enjoy authentic house party vibes while giving back to the community?”

“Here’s your chance! Whether you’re a military family, an RnB lover, or just someone who loves to live it up, this tour has something for everyone.”

Following the news of his death, fans took to social media to share messages of condolence. On Twitter/X, one user wrote: “Just learned a friend of past daze has transitioned to be with the Ancestors. RIPeace Gene “Groove” Allen of the original Uptown Crew “Groove B Chill.” You will be missed my brother. My condolences to Gene’s family and friends.”

Another added: “That’s sad,” while a third said: “Yo move…Groove gotta throw up. RIP Groove. #IYKYK”

Love Island All Stars is nearly over for another series, and we’re definitely going to miss all of the drama. This week, tension has been hotting up between TOWIE star Elma Pazar and actress Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, as the two struggle to get past Ekin kissing Elma’s love interest Sammy Root in a past challenge.

Though they’ve seemingly made up for the time being, Love Island watchers were still very surprised when a clip Elma posted on her TikTok before entering the villa started re-circulating the app.

In the video posted by Elma in late 2023, the star shows herself going for a colour refresh. She explains in the voice-over that she showed a picture of her ideal hair colour to her colourist. “I did show her a picture of Ekin-Su from the beginning of June, and I said, ‘This is the vibe I want to go for.”

Elma adds: “I think we can all agree she smashed the colour. I’ve got a darker brown with ashier blonde running through it.”

Elma’s followers have been commenting on the older clip after finding it on her page following the in-villa Ekin dramas.

“Showed her a picture of ekin su– definition of keeping your friends close but your enemies are closer,” says one, while another jokingly adds: “So much for “do me a favour”.’

Romeo Beckham has joined loved up people across the globe this Valentine’s Day in sharing a gushing social media message to his partner.

The son of David and Victoria Beckham took to Instagram to shout about his love for new girlfriend Kim Turnbull. Romeo, 22, and Kim, 23, have been dating since the end of last year and the former budding footballer let his followers know just how in love he is.

In the social post, Romeo shared a number of snaps. The first saw the cute couple smiling as they snuggled up together. The second was a blurred selfie of Kim with Romeo’s younger sister, Harper, 13. In the romantic post, Romeo penned: “I love you so much.” He also shared a white love heart emoji.

As fans quickly shared their delight at his happiness, his mum Victoria was among the almost 70,000 people to click the like button.

Kim wasted little time in reciprocating her man’s loving words. On her own page she took to her Stories to share a number a snaps of Romeo. The pair were cuddled up for a selfie in the first while the second was a shot of Romeo suited up as he held the door open.

She then shared what appeared to be their food date as they ate “posh beans on toast” in a fancy setting. The meal consisted of elements of a traditional breakfast, and was served on fine china whilst drinks of orange juice were seen to be served in wine glasses.

And it seemed as though Romeo treated her to a bunch of white roses as she zoomed in on a bouquet for her next snap.

Kim wasn’t the only person wishing Romeo a happy Valentine’s Day. His dad also took to his social media account to share a loving message – just as he did for all of his kids. The dad-of-four shared individual posts for his kids; Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

For Romeo, the former Manchester United star uploaded a black-and-white image of the pair as David hugged his son. He wrote in red: “Happy Valentines mate. Love you @romeobeckham,” alongside a red love heart.

David also shared a snap of himself and wife Victoria sharing a smooch in front of a glorious sunset at sea.

Robbie Williams’ daughter looks to be following her dad into stardom, having secured a role in a major upcoming film.

Theodora – better known as Teddy – has been seen filming for a new Christmas movie, Tinsel Town. Although only 12 years old, Teddy looked more than comfortable as she stood on a street with Hollywood star Rebel Wilson, and reportedly has her sights on making a career out of acting.

“Teddy was born to be a star – after all, her parents are both the ultimate performers,” a source told The Sun, adding that Robbie and wife Ayda Field wanted to “keep her out of the spotlight for as long as possible” as the daughter of such a famous couple.

“This is all very much being driven by Teddy who’s wanted to be on stage since she was old enough to talk! It’s a small part but obviously is super-exciting, and everyone is really proud of her,” they said, adding that Teddy was a “lovely girl” and was fitting “seamlessly” into the cast and crew.

Alongside Teddy, Robbie and Ayda – who tied the knot back in 2010 – share daughter Colette, and sons Charlton and Beau. While Teddy has her sights set on the silver screen, the Williams family have been repeatedly asked to show their family life on reality TV.

For the past five years, bosses behind the Real Housewives franchise have been attempting to have Robbie and his wife Ayda sign up for the programme.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, it was revealed that bosses had approached the couple several times about the show, and that Ayda was the one who wasn’t sold on the idea.

“We’ve asked Ayda to be a Real Housewife of Beverly Hills like five years in a row,” Andy said, while Robbie chanted: “Do it, do it, do it.”

Ayda reasoned in response: “It’s a lot of pressure, you’ve gotta get him on board, you’ve got to get the monkey on board.” Andy wasn’t discouraged her Ayda’s words, and joked: “Rob has to come on and make some sauce like Carrie Ann would. I think you’re worried that Rob would get too involved.”

Robbie joked: “I would,” while Ayda laughingly ribbed: “I mean, he would be the house husband of Beverly Hills!”

While Robbie isn’t against reality TV, he certainly doesn’t need the cash. According to new figures, his recent XXV Tour raked in a remarkable £75.2 million. The former Take That star turned over a whopping £1.4 million a week, and he paid himself £22 million from his riches – with around £250,000 going towards “charitable donations.”

The tour was definitely hard work, however, as he spent over a year journeying the world from October 2022 to December 2023. The resulting tour was described as a “joyous celebration of Robbie’s 25 years as a solo artist.”

A woman with dementia realised something was awry when she found a familiar work task too challenging, a common sign of the condition. Gail received her diagnosis in 2019 and her heartbreaking story has re-emerged following the news that Birds of a Feather’s Pauline Quirke is also battling the disease.

Pauline’s husband, Steven Sheen, shared that she is stepping back from public life due to her health issues and Maurice Gran, who co-created Birds of a Feather, disclosed that Pauline’s condition “had progressed”. Gail understands the challenges of facing this illness at a young age; she was diagnosed with young-onset Alzheimer’s at just 54 years old.

Her wake-up call came during a routine appointment in 2019, but the turning point was when she could no longer manage a simple business task. On the My Life with Dementia podcast, Gail recounted her experience running a business that sold customised teddy bears.

Hailing from near Burnley, Gail said: “My mum used to make the clothing for the bears and then I would embroider on to the bear’s top a message for that person – happy birthday, happy anniversary.

“My recall memory was beginning to fail me and I noticed people were ringing up, giving me orders over the telephone and I was writing things down, putting the phone down, and thinking, ‘were that right?’

“I realised that I couldn’t retain the messages that were being said to me so I started letting the answering machine kick in. John (her husband) realised that I was doing this and he had questioned me on why the answering machine was always on. I just kept saying it is because I’m busy – ‘I’m busy, I’m busy John, I’m busy.’ And it was because I couldn’t retain the information.”

After visiting a doctor and struggling with tasks like drawing a clock face and remembering an address, Gail was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Despite initial feelings of confusion, sadness, and anger, she has come to terms with her condition, referring to dementia as her “little side kick” and choosing to focus on what she can do rather than what she can’t.

The NHS outlines common early symptoms of dementia, such as memory loss, difficulty concentrating, and finding familiar tasks challenging—symptoms Gail faced. Other signs include trouble following conversations, confusion about time and place, and mood changes.

Danielle Lloyd has been diagnosed with skin cancer.

The former beauty pageant star has revealed she has been diagnosed with skin cancer. She was emotional as she told fans she was “really shocked” by the news – and would need to have an operation.

In an emotional video shared on Instagram, she said: “I don’t really know how to say this and I didn’t know whether to come on and say it but I feel like I have to raise awareness of this happening to other people. Today I have been diagnosed with a form of skin cancer. And I just want to raise awareness for anyone who might think they’ve got something funny on their bod, they see a mole that’s growing that’s not normal – please please please go to your doctor. You just never know.

“I’m really shocked at what I’ve been told today but I’ve been really supported by the Macmillan nurses at the hospital. I am going to have to have an operation to see if it has spread. But yeah, just honestly, not what I expected today. And I suppose not what anyone expects, but please guys look after your skin. Stay off sunbeds, wear factor 50. Just look after yourself because you never know.”

Danielle has been open about her health battles and previously revealed she had a cyst on her ovary. Because of her endometriosis and adenomyosis, she underwent an operation to remove the cyst and as a result can no longer carry any children.

At the time, she recalled she had been rushed to hospital due to heavy bleeding and large blood clots. Worried, doctors did more tests and found cysts on her ovaries which were then tested for cancer.

She was given the all-clear, but the diagnoses did mean she wouldn’t be able to have any more children herself. Explaining how she had to act normal for the sake of her five kids, she said: “I was convinced I was going to die and was crying all the time. So when the doctor told me I was all clear, I felt this huge relief wash over me.”

Endometriosis is when tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus whilst adenomyosis is a gynecologic condition that causes endometrial tissue in the lining of the uterus to grow into the muscular wall of the uterus. Endometrioma are cystic lesions that stem from the disease process of endometriosis.
