Husband of Coldplay kiss cam’s Kristin Cabot shares update after couple file for divorce

Footage emerged on social media of Andrew Byron and Kristin Cabot getting cosy at one of Coldplay’s gigs in the US on their Music of the Spheres tour – and a scandal followed

The husband of a woman caught on Coldplay’s kiss cam getting cosy with her boss has insisted he and his wife were “privately and amicably separated” before the gig.

Andrew Cabot, 61, and his wife Kristin last week confirmed they have filed for divorce several weeks after Kristin was snapped by the kiss cam with her boss at one of the band’s concerts. The footage emerged on social media and, amid the following scandal, Andy quit from this role as CEO of tech firm Astronomer and Kirstin resigned as his Head of HR.

But speaking following confirmation of the divorce, Andrew, an entrepreneur from Massachusetts, said he and Kirstin “were privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert”. A spokesperson speaking to the media on his behalf today added: “Their decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening. Now that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this provides respectful closure to speculation and allows his family the privacy they’ve always valued.”

Kirstin’s moment on the kiss cam caught attention across the globe. Even Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joked the pair were either “having an affair or just very shy.” Soon after the awkward moment, both employees were put on leave. Andy later resigned from the company after “failing to meet company standards”.

Despite the clarity around the divorce, Andrew’s spokesperson also told People today: “No further public comment will be made.” It is the first time Andrew has spoken out publically – albeit with a spokesperson – about the scandal, and the state of his and Kirstin’s relationship.

Andrew, who is a CEO of a distillery in Ipswich, Massachusetts, has no children with Kirstin, but two kids from a previous marriage. His family, Andrew says, has “always valued” privacy, something threatened somewhat amid the scandal.

Both Kirstin and her manager reacted awkwardly when the kiss cam turned on them at the gig. Kirstin quickly turned her back and he ducked out of sight. It spawned countless memes and mockery and put a national spotlight, for a few days, on the former colleagues. Many online purported to dig up and share personal details about both of their families.

The controversy was also the subject of much discussion about the nature of privacy in a digital age and what behaviour should and shouldn’t subject someone to public scrutiny.

Inside Holly Willoughby’s ‘smashing marriage’ with Dan Baldwin amid exciting house move

TV power couple Holly Willoughby and husband Dan Baldwin have moved into “an amazing” mansion, it is reported.

Holly, 44, recently bought the “an insanely beautiful forever home” with her 50-year-old partner whose media company, it is said, struck a deal with America’s National Football League (NFL), Channel 5 (which now wants to be known as 5) and US media giant Paramount to bring live coverage of American football to UK viewers.

As the consortium has even bagged the rights to broadcast the Super Bowl in this country, it is thought Dan and Holly have been eager to explore opportunities to relocate. It is understood they’ve now snapped up a six-bedroom mansion, said to be worth millions of pounds.

A source who knows the couple, who married in 2007, said: “Together, Dan and Holly make a smashing pairing. They have the whole industry covered between them.”

The Super Bowl is the most-watched annual sporting event in America and the second most popular around the world after the FIFA World Cup – with nearly 200million people worldwide tuning in each year.

And so television sources suggest the deal could be worth “well over £2million” for Baldwin and his consortium. The new American football show, which started last week, is presented by one of Dan’s best friends, Dermot O’Leary, 52, along with former NFL player Osi Umenyiora, 43, and hockey player-turned-sports-presenter Sam Quek, 36.

An industry insider told Mail Online: “It is the deal of the year. Dan pulled it off. It’s lovely, actually, as it means the pressure is off Holly to wait for the right job to come up… She has been to hell and back in the past two years. It has been awful for her.”

They referred to Holly’s ordeal at the hands of former security guard Gavin Plumb, who planned to kidnap and murder the star. He was jailed for life in July last year for the sinister plot, which a court was told was “life-changing for the victim.. both in private and personal terms”.

This came after Holly’s This Morning career ended abruptly in 2023 after a distressing fallout with her best friend Phillip Schofield over his brother Timothy’s sex offences trial. These episodes “knocked the wind out of Holly,” a source told Mail Online.

Olivia Attwood turns heads in lavish reunion with ITV stars amid brutal cuts

London’s historic Guildhall was the backdrop for a star-studded celebration on Monday night as ITV marked 70 years of broadcasting. Presenters, actors, and television personalities gathered to celebrate the channel’s rich history, with highlights including This Morning hosts Cat Deeley and Olivia Attwood.

Cat Deeley, 48, who recently announced her split from husband Patrick Kielty, made a striking appearance in a long-sleeved bright orange mini-dress that showcased her long legs. The mum-of-two smiled broadly for photographers and posed alongside her co-presenter Ben Shephard, who looked dapper in a tailored navy suit.

Speaking to press at the event, Cat reflected on the milestone: “It’s amazing to celebrate so many years of ITV. I’ve been lucky to be part of its journey and it’s wonderful to see so many faces from across the network together tonight.”

Olivia Attwood, 34, who recently joined the This Morning presenting team, also caught the cameras’ attention. The former Love Island star opted for a chic white oversized blazer over a busty crop top, paired with wide-leg, high-waisted trousers.

Known for her striking Ibiza photos with Pete Wicks, Olivia’s appearance was polished yet relaxed, and she was all smiles as she mingled with colleagues and fellow stars.

The evening, hosted by comedian Joel Dommett, returned to the same Guildhall where ITV first broadcast in 1955, honouring seven decades of television moments spanning drama, current affairs, soaps, and daytime shows.

Stars from across ITV’s programming attended, including Good Morning Britain anchor Susanna Reid, who wore a classic black evening gown with a thigh-high slit, and co-host Charlotte Hawkins, who opted for a sheer embroidered blue dress.

The celebration also coincides with recent changes to ITV’s daytime schedule.

In a cost-saving move, programmes including Lorraine and Loose Women will now air seasonally, with Lorraine reduced to just 30 minutes per day. Both shows, alongside This Morning, will also vacate their Television Centre studios in West London, signalling a new era for the broadcaster.

While ITV marked it’s 70th anniversary tonight with a big party hosted by Joel Dommett – however The Mirror has reported that employees were displeased with the celebration going ahead amid the brutal staff cuts.

A source told The Mirror that daytime employees have been vocal about their disapproval of anniversary events going ahead in light of the recent staff cuts.

Earlier this year, ITV announced that 220 production staff out of 440 working on daytime programmes will lose their jobs.

As a result, Lorraine Kelly’s ITV show will be cut from an hour to 30 minutes, airing for just 30 weeks a year, while cuts will also be made to Loose Women.

From next year, Good Morning Britain will be worked on by a dedicated team at ITV News, while teams on Loose Women, Lorraine and This Morning will merge to save costs.

A source told The Mirror: “Daytime staff aren’t impressed that ITV is going ahead with a lavish 70th anniversary party while many are facing redundancy.”

They added that with staff set to lose their jobs, many find it insulting that ITV has invested in a new entertainment show hosted by Gary Lineker, titled The Box.

“ITV did say that they would be using the money saved from the cuts to produce shows in other areas, but daytime staff can’t help but feel slighted – especially after seeing headlines which claim that ITV boss Kevin Lygo is willing to pay a lot to lure Michael McIntyre over from the BBC.”

Sheila Hancock admits she’s ‘overwhelmed’ with loneliness after ‘gaping loss’ of famous husband

Dame Sheila Hancock’s husband, John Thaw, died in 2002, but the ex EastEnders actress finds a sense of comfort in still ‘talking out loud’ to him

Dame Sheila Hancock has revealed that she still chats to her late husband John Thaw, who died in 2002 at the age of 60. Inspector Morse star John, who passed away after he was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer, was married to The Rag Trade star Sheila for 28 years before his death.

In a recent admission, Dame Sheila discussed her loneliness and how it affects her. Her friends and family members have been a ‘great comfort’ for her but they ‘eventually go home’, leaving her on her own. “I am left with the gaping loss of the person who has left forever, with whom I could be totally honest and myself, warts and all,” she said.

“Who is there now to wipe my tears and make me laugh?”

Writing in Prospect magazine, Dame Sheila added: “I still talk out loud to my long-departed husband, especially when I watch the news on Channel 4, but our imagined rant about politicians and human idiocy has grown fainter over the years.”

Her loneliness was ‘terribly difficult’ for her to handle, revealing how she can sometimes wake up feeling ‘overwhelmed by depression at the thought of a solitary day ahead.’

She continued: “The easiest thing is to turn over and stay in bed, but an effort must be made when one least feels like it, to get up and be active, or one descends even deeper into the Slough of Despond.”

The Laurence Olivier award winner thought about getting a cat but changed her mind after worrying about whether it would ‘outlive’ her.

Earlier this year, The Sixth Commandment star appeared on Katherine Ryan’s What’s My Age Again? podcast and discussed ageing.

“Strangely enough, reaching 90 was extraordinary because right up until then, I honestly had never thought I was old. I really hadn’t,” she said.

“I did a film where I climbed a mountain when I was 85 and I didn’t think anything of it. I went to the gym and did a bit of extra work, but I’ve never thought of it.”

Although she doesn’t feel old, she noticed how other people started treating her differently because of it.

“When I was 90, everybody started saying, ‘do you still drive? Let me help you up.’ They suddenly start treating you as old and you find you’re acting old if you’re not careful,” Dame Sheila explained.

“It’s quite useful because it means that you can, for instance if you’re bored or if I have had enough of this interview, I can actually say, ‘well, I’m very bored with this, I’m leaving,’ and everybody will say, ‘oh, poor old thing. She’s gone a bit senile’. It’s a wonderful excuse for bad behaviour.”

Olivia Attwood calls out ‘dishonest’ celebs after backlash over cosy Pete Wicks snaps

Olivia Attwood has defended herself against criticism over her Ibiza trip and close friendship with Pete Wicks, calling out “dishonest celebrities” who she says wouldn’t be as honest about their personal lives

Olivia Attwood has hit out at “dishonest celebrities” following criticism over her recent trip to Ibiza without her husband, footballer Bradley Dack, and her close friendship with TOWIE star Pete Wicks.

The 34-year-old TV personality admitted she did get a “telling off” from Bradley for her antics on the White Isle but insisted she stands out for being honest about her personal life – a trait she says many in the industry lack. Speaking ahead of the launch of the second series of her ITV2 show Bad Boyfriends, Olivia reflected on the media scrutiny surrounding her friendship with Pete, 36.

She said she was used to speculation but claimed it never deeply affected her: “It’s going to be expected. You know, I think when you’ve got, like, two straight people working together.

“It happened when I first joined Towie and Pete and I became very close. We spent a lot of time together and there was a rumour mill spinning back then. I expect that.”

She explained how she handles press attention: “I honestly, the way I am, with the press, and this is like how I kind of survive in my career, is I just don’t really deep it that much.

“Like unless it was really something really bad that someone was saying about me, I just kind of like, I don’t get too invested in it.”

Olivia also took a swipe at other celebrities who avoid being upfront about their private lives: “I am wild and I do go to Ibiza every year and let my hair down and I do get told off by my husband and I’m honest about that.

“I’m not alone in that. The difference is that other people in our industry just wouldn’t be honest to say that. That is just what happens.”

Addressing her marriage, she admitted it isn’t perfect but said the couple works through their issues: “Like, I’m not perfect. Brad’s not perfect. Yeah, but we make it work.”

Olivia has consistently been candid about her life, balancing her social media presence with honesty about relationships, mistakes, and the realities of being in the public eye.

Strictly star Vicky Pattison has revealed she was so skint before her rise to fame that she resorted to stealing loo rolls. The reality TV queen, who is preparing for her upcoming stint on Strictly Come Dancing, faced financial hardship as a student in Liverpool before hitting the big time with Geordie Shore.

Vicky, 37, confessed: “All of that university life thing is amazing, but it is hard, too. I have memories of stealing toilet rolls from bars because I’d run out of money to buy my own. I used to live above a bar, and come the end of the week, I’d go there to buy a burger and a beer for a fiver (which apparently I did have money for) and go into the loo and steal the toilet tissue.

“And when you’ve done that for three years, it starts to take its toll on your soul.

“I didn’t come out of there in a good position to face the world. I was naïve, skint and starting to get scared,” reports the Daily Star. “Unsure of what to do next, I ran straight back home to Newcastle with my tail between my legs.”

Vicky shared that she moved back in with her family and took up a part-time job at a jeans shop called G-Star in an effort to regain her footing.

She continued: “I remember thinking, I’m just coming home for a few months. I’ll save up enough money, and then I’ll move to London.”

It comes after Vicky shared her concerns about Strictly and confessed her fear that certain members of the audience weren’t ever going to take to her.

“I am still just trying to change the opinions of people who will never like me, who are convinced I’m nothing but that girl from Geordie Shore, that I’m never gonna be any better,” she wept. “I’m wasting my time trying to pander to these people.”

Speaking to her co-host Angela Scanlon on their podcast Get a Grip, Vicky cried: “All this can’t go on.

“I feel like I’ve just been walking around in this haze for so long pretending to be happy and all the rest of it and I’m not. I wanna prove to people that I can do it.”

With just three weeks until the first live instalment of the BBC ballroom show, Vicky said she’d been having therapy sessions with This Morning’s resident counsellors the Speakmans, to help her come to terms with the challenge ahead.
