Brad Pitt ‘suing Angelina Jolie for $35 million’ as split gets even uglier

The couple formerly known as Brangelina are embroiled in a bitter court dispute over their shared French winery following their divorce, initiated by Angelina Jolie in 2019

Brad Pitt is reportedly suing his ex-wife Angelina Jolie for $35million and pushing for undisclosed communications between them to be released, as the bitter court battle following their divorce continues.

Both actors have been involved in a lengthy dispute after Pitt accused Jolie of breaching their prior agreement regarding their French winery, Chateau Miraval.

The winery was bought by the couple in happier times back in 2011 for roughly $60 million. Following their divorce proceedings, initiated by Jolie in 2019, she is thought to be considering selling the property, but the former power couple are said to have made a pact to never sell their shares without the other person’s consent.

New court documents submitted on 29 October and obtained by PEOPLE detail an email exchange between the legal teams for the former married couple and reveal that Pitt filed to sue Jolie for $35 million as a result of the alleged breach.

One extract of the exchange read: “The burdensome nature of any production is a matter of Mr. Pitt’s own creation – he is suing Ms. Jolie for $35 million in damages. As a result, he has to incur the expense of producing the documents that will show (or not show) those damages.”

The court filing for Pitt’s lawsuit also pushed for 22 documents relating to a potential sale of Miraval to be released. Jolie has claimed attorney-client privilege in her refusal to submit the documents, and Pitts attorneys argued that she is “abusing the privilege to bury critical documents that go to the heart of the case”.

An earlier email from Jolie’s legal representatives spoke about a non-disclosure agreement Pitt is alleged to have “needed”. The email spoke about, “Pitt’s continuing refusals to produce documents relating to the reasons why he needed his four-year NDA covering his personal misconduct” and they insisted that those documents “must be produced”.

Jolie has claimed that Pitt wanted her to sign an NDA that would prevent her from speaking publicly about his alleged abuse of the actress and their children.

Pitt and his legal team have instead said that the NDA they wanted was standard business protection in relation to Miraval and its sale. Proceedings against Jolie for breaching the terms of their agreement not to sell shares without dual consent were launched by Pitt in 2022. Jolie has said no such agreement exists and launched a counter-suit.

The former couple first met as co-stars of the film Mr & Mrs Smith in 2005. At the time, Pitt was married to actress Jennifer Aniston. After his split with the Friends star, Pitt married Jolie in 2014, but the pair separated just two years later in 2016. Their divorce was finalised in 2019. During the course of their marriage, they became parents to six children.

A public hearing has been set for 17 December. Paul Murphy, Jolie’s counsel told the Daily Mail that they were “looking forward to the upcoming hearing”. “Mr. Pitt’s reply brief does not address our arguments and continues to rely on conjecture and speculation – all for the purpose of invading her privileged communications with her lawyers.

“This once again confirms that this lawsuit is the manifestation of Mr. Pitt’s years-long effort to harass and control Angelina. We look forward to the upcoming hearing.”

Celebrity Traitors’ rich list with surprising star on top

The Celebrity Traitors rich list has been revealed ahead of tonight’s finale and it may come as no surprise that presenter Jonathan Ross is one of the celebs at the top of the list

Celebrity Traitors quickly became one of the most talked about TV shows this year and tonight’s final will see the remaining five contestants compete to win the jackpot for their chosen charity, with Alan Carr, Cat Burns, Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga still in the game.

Ahead of the highly anticipated finale on Thursday, 6 November, it has been revealed which celebs have the biggest bank balance. It may come as no surprise that long-standing talk show presenter Jonathan Ross is one of the celebs at the top of the list.

Jonathan Ross’s production firms filed their accounts with Companies House and revealed he has £1,462,005 in reserves. These are made up from BFQ Ltd, which has £768,607, while Hot Sauce T.V. Ltd has £693,398. The companies paid approximately £181,500 in corporation tax, which suggests a £726,000 profit for the year.

Another celeb high up on the rich list is Alan Carr. Despite his UK firms being dissolved, it has been reported that his overall net worth would be upwards of £20 million.

Cat Burns, who has made it to tonight’s final as one of the last standing Traitors alongside Alan, also has an impressive bank balance. The singer has two music-related firms: CB Collaborations Ltd accounts, which reveal an overall profit of £237,817, and Homegrown Live Ltd which shows a profit of £192,790, giving a profit of £430,607 for the last year.

Comedian Nick Mohammed’s Riddikulus Ltd has £843,338 in equity and reportedly paid £32,506 in corporation tax last year, suggesting a profit of £130,000.

Fan favourite of the show, former rugby union player Joe Marler, might have retired last year but he still boasts a hefty bank balance. Joe Marler Ltd had reported reserves of £746,490 last year.

The BBC show released a teaser trailer earlier this week, giving fans a sneak peek at the tense finale to come. The clip saw Alan, Cat, Joe, Nick and David walk through the eerie halls of the Traitors ‘ castle as a clock strikes twelve.

Sitting at the final roundtable, we watch as host Claudia Winkleman tells them: “Players, this is it. Who can you trust? Who is on your side? For the final time then, the floor is yours.”

Earlier today, ex contestants Kate Garraway and Clare Balding reflected on their Celebrity Traitors feud live on Good Morning Britain, with Kate accusing Clare of calling her a Traitor behind her back. Clare interrupted: “She kept arguing with me Ed, she kept arguing if somebody put your name down – I never put your name down.”

To which Kate fired back: “But you told everyone you thought it was me?”

After Clare said that she said that at the roundtable, Kate responded: “Jonathan and David both said it was you. Let’s carry on.”

Celebrity Traitors star Cat Burns ‘gives away’ major secret about the final

Singer Cat Burns, who recently appeared on Strictly, appeared to give away a huge secret about who won The Celebrity Traitors, just hours before the final episode is due to air

Cat Burns appeared to give away a huge Traitors secret ahead of the the big final, which is due to air tonight in the UK. She appeared on BBC Radio 2 where she caught up with presenter Scott Mills and discussed her new album and, of course, The Traitors.

Tonight’s final will see the remaining five contestants compete to win the jackpot for their chosen charity, with Alan Carr, Cat Burns, Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga still in the game.

Speaking about her experience on the BBC show, Cat said: “I’m really glad I did it, it’s such a crazy experience. It’s crazy that we are just a bunch of adults who want to go and play a murder mystery game. It’s just so fun.”

Cat added: “I don’t think I am that great of a liar, my mum watches me and she says ‘I can just tell that you’re lying”.

While discussing the show, Cat appeared to hint that she knew who won the show, and it could be her. Scott playfully asked, “You don’t really know who wins, you’ve not seen the edit, they could have changed it, a different person could have won”.

Cat suspiciously responds, “Could they?” in a high-pitched voice and laughing. Obviously, her response it completely down to interpretation, but any reaction is likely to send fans into a frenzy this close to the final.

Cat was also asked what her ritual was for watching the show, to which she answered: “I watch, usually through one eye, covered with the volume really low.”

It comes as the Celebrity Traitors finale has been leaked online just hours before airing on BBC One, causing chaos across the internet.

While the big final is due to air tonight in the UK, Canadian streamer Crave reportedly uploaded the episode yesterday evening, with hundreds of people watching it and finding out who wins the game.

The BBC has addressed the Celebrity Traitors’ final being leaked online ahead of its broadcast tonight, with the broadcaster sending an urgent message to fans.

Responding to the leak, a spokesperson for the BBC said: “We kindly ask anyone who thinks they know the outcome of The Celebrity Traitors to keep whatever they believe they know to themselves.

“Please avoid sharing potential spoilers so that the millions of fans who have been faithfully following every twist and turn of the series can enjoy the final this evening.”

The Mirror understands that the leaked episode has now been removed and that it was not a mistake made by the BBC. The episode will be airing in the UK at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer tonight.

Shaughna Phillips reveals health struggle after birth of her second daughter

Shaughna Phillips has spoken about one health issue she is experiencing in the aftermath of giving birth to her second daughter, Sofia Phillips-Webb, who she shares with Billy Webb

As Shaughna Phillips settles into life as a mum of two after welcoming her second daughter, the former Love Island star has revealed she is facing an unexpected postpartum setback.

The 31-year-old gave birth to her baby girl, Sofia Phillips-Webb, on Halloween. She referred to her daughter’s birth as “magical”, adding that it left her feeling “completed” in ways she “didn’t even know was possible”.

However, the reality star admitted she is experiencing issues with postpartum swelling. Shaughna uploaded a video of her severely swollen feet to Instagram, joking: “The flip flops are staying for a while longer it seems”.

In the clip she rested her foot on a baby chair and wiggled her toes to show how puffed up they had become. Postpartum swelling is common as the body works to flush out excess fluids from pregnancy. While it eases up for most new mums within a couple of weeks, in some cases it can last up to six.

Shaughna announced Sofia’s birth in an emotional Instagram reel where she revealed that her daughter weighed 7lb 4oz, gushing: “Our littlest love has completed us in ways I didn’t even know was possible. The dreamiest experience for our perfect girl.”

She shared a photo of herself, her boyfriend Billy Webb, and their newborn, adding: “So many amazing photos to share with you all and I cannot get over how magical that experience was. I’ll have 20 more please!”

In another post, she revealed that November 6 had been her daughter’s actual due date, writing on a sweet snap of her sleeping baby: “Happy due date my darling”. She later debuted a gold necklace engraved with both her daughters’ names.

Sofia is Shaughna’s second child with her partner Billy, who was jailed in 2023 for drug offences. The pair also share a daughter called Lucia, who is two.

Billy was released from prison just before Sofia’s birth. Shaughna previously revealed that she conceived Sofia during one of Billy’s brief visits home, and explained that she had been tracking her ovulation and was shocked at how quickly it happened.

She said: “I was like, ‘You know what? Why not? Let’s just see’. And literally, the next day, I said to Billy, ‘I think I’m pregnant.’” Although she became a mum under difficult circumstances, and has had to take her young daughter Lucia to a prison visiting room just so the girl could see her dad, Shaughna has been determined to keep her family together.

The mum previously admitted: “I never would have chosen this life for my daughter. I don’t think it hit me what was happening until I got into the building. I was so nervous, but it was never a question for me. I always knew I was going to take Lucia to visit her dad regardless of what was going on between us at the time.”

The reality star also shared that she was worried for Lucia in the run up to Sofia’s birth, explaining: “I was hoping for it, but then the second I found out, I instantly felt guilty for Lucia. I was like, ‘Oh my God, what have I done? I don’t want you to ever think that you were being replaced or anything like that’. It literally breaks my heart when I think about it.”

Liam Payne inquest LIVE: Coroner calls for crucial eyewitness statement into star’s death

A pre-inquest review into Liam Payne’s tragic death has taken place today, as a string of unanswered questions surround his death.

The pre-inquest review happened at Buckinghamshire Coroners Court, months after Liam’s cause of death was confirmed by the court as polytrauma, a term used when multiple traumatic injuries were sustained to a person’s body or organs.

What do we know about Liam’s death?

Liam died at the age of 31 on October 16, 2024. He died after falling from a third-floor hotel balcony at the Casa Sur hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Shortly before his death, a panicked hotel worker called the police over concerns over Liam’s ‘erratic’ behaviour.

Liam was in Argentina to support his former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan at his concert. His trip in Argentina was then extended as he awaited his renewed US visa and the process took longer than expected.

He had jetted out to the country with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, who then flew home while Liam stayed. Kate had previously said she was “ready to leave” and wanted to return to Florida to look after their dog.

Five people were charged in relation to Liam’s death. The hotel’s manager, Gilda Martin, and its receptionist, Esteban Grassi, as well as Payne’s friend Roger Nores have been charged with manslaughter, Argentina’s prosecutor’s office says. Ezequiel Pereyra – who also worked at the hotel – and Braian Paiz, a waiter, have been charged with supplying drugs.

Fans send heartbreaking messages to Liam

As the inquest took place today, which was the day after fans marked the 55th Wednesday since Liam’s death by streaming his single Sunshine, others took to social media to share heartbreaking tributes to the star.

All the unanswered questions

As officials in Argentina continue the investigation, it’s understood authorities are still working their way through 800 hours of CCTV footage as well as mobile phones and laptops.

Coroner has received initial documentation

The coroner has been forwarded initial documentation relating to the autopsy conducted in Argentina and an initial police scene report, Senior Coroner Crispin Butler said.

Inquest is adjourned again

In today’s three minute-long hearing, the inquest was adjourned for a further pre-inquest review, which will take place on May 7, 2026.

Senior Coroner asks for full reports on ‘where and how’ Liam Payne died

Senior Coroner Crispin Butler said: “We will continue to liaise with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to seek to procure full reports, eyewitness statements and other relevant evidence to assess in due course to address the statutory questions at a final inquest… namely who the deceased was, a final medical cause of death, when, where and how he came by his death.”

Full reports and eyewitness statements needed

A coroner will seek full reports and eyewitness statements before a final inquest into the death of former One Direction star Liam Payne, a pre-inquest review heard.

Coroner to seek a full report before final inquest

A coroner will seek a full report and eyewitness statements before a final inquest will take place, the pre-inquest review heard.

Senior Coroner Crispin Butler told the Buckinghamshire Coroner’s Court today that there were continuing investigations in Argentina and that a coroner would be looking to get a full report from this.

He said: “We will continue to liaise with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to seek to procure full reports, eyewitness statements and other relevant evidence to assess in due course to address the statutory questions at a final inquest… namely who the deceased was, a final medical cause of death, when, where and how he came by his death.”

What are the investigations in Argentina?

In December last year, five people were charged in connection with Liam’s death, the Argentinian authorities announced.

What did the coroner say in the last hearing?
