Blake Lively’s former pal, Taylor Swift, was dragged into her arduous legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star, Justin Baldoni, and now it’s been claimed she may give evidence

Taylor Swift is reportedly edging closer to being forced to give evidence in former pal Blake Lively’s court case with Justin Baldoni. In December last year, Blake filed a lawsuit against Justin, alleging she suffered “severe emotional distress and pain, humiliation, embarrassment, belittlement, frustration and mental anguish” as a result of his conduct during production.

He denied the claims and filed a countersuit against Blake, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist Leslie Sloane. His filing alleged extortion and defamation. He also filed a separate defamation action against The New York Times.

Meanwhile, the tension between Blake and Taylor blew up after the singer’s name got dragged into Blake’s arduous 2024 legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star, Justin.

Justin’s lawyers claimed Blake tried to ‘coerce’ Taylor into making a public statement about the actor, whom Blake accused of sexual harassment, and deleted texts allegedly sent between them discussing him.

Earlier this year, a judge ruled Justin could have the texts between Taylor and Blake that have to do with It Ends With Us.

And now, newly filed court documents seen by MailOnline showed that Taylor has been asked to take part in a deposition (in the week beginning October 20) after the release of her album in October.

She’s set to be deposed if Justin’s legal team can persuade to a judge to a deadline extension. Justin’s legal team claimed Taylor was asked to a deposition being scheduled for next month.

“Ms. Lively misleadingly implies the Wayfarer Parties seek a blanket thirty-day extension of the discovery cut-off date,” his lawyer Ellyn S. Garofalo wrote to judge Lewis J. Liman, according to MailOnline.

“In fact, the Wayfarer Parties requested an agreement solely to take the deposition of Taylor Swift during the week of October 20-25 due to Ms. Swift’s preexisting professional obligations.”

In July, Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit and the defamation claim against the newspaper The New York Times.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Taylor and Blake aren’t on speaking terms. Fans noticed that Blake snubbed Taylor’s engagement news and questioned whether a song in her new album is about the Gossip Girl actress.

On August 13, Taylor announced her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, which will include a track titled Ruin the Friendship — a song rumoured to be about her relationship with Blake. A source close to the situation tells People: “Taylor and Blake aren’t speaking.”

The Mirror have reached out to Taylor’s reps for comment.

YouTube star Emma Chamberlain has shared some words of wisdom with her fans

YouTuber Emma Chamberlain has offered guidance to her ‘anxious’ fans just days after sharing a vlog in which she experienced a panic attack.

The social media star recently shared footage of herself confronting her fear of flying and struggling to remain calm during the journey.

In the candid video, uploaded to her main channel on 31st August, Emma revealed that her heart began pounding and her eyes started filling with tears the moment the plane took off.

Now, the 24-year-old content creator has shared pearls of wisdom with “fellow anxious people” amongst her millions of followers.

Speaking on her Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlain Podcast, she told listeners: “It’s pointless to worry about things we cannot control,” reports the Mirror US.

“All that we need to focus on is what we can do in our lives. However, this is the hardest piece of advice for me to follow,” she added.

Emma went on: “Because even though I know that it’s technically a waste of my energy to worry about things that I can’t control, of course I’m still worried about them. There’s a lot of scary things that I can’t control.”

The online personality proceeded to explain that as she has matured, it has become increasingly challenging to accept the matters beyond her influence. Nevertheless, “it’s a practice that [she’s] constantly working on.”

One of Emma’s techniques is regularly repeating to herself the mantra “you cannot worry about things you can’t control”.

The Gen Z celebrity, who boasts over 12 million subscribers, has been candid with fans about her personal battles with anxiety, though she reminds viewers that she offers all guidance with “a grain of salt”.

Emma’s most recent podcast explores far more than anxiety management, as she also provides advice on handling love and relationships.

During the video, she urged followers to “stay emotionally vigilante,” whilst revealing how she previously tended to over-invest in fresh romances.

The California-born influencer admitted she once considered every boyfriend was ‘the one’ after merely one month of dating.

Now, the drama continues as the pair have descended into an online feud after Boris accused Emma of “lying”.

The pair began as two thirds of a love triangle, since Boris was with Billykiss Azeez when they first started flirting. After a steamy hot tub snog, Emma and Boris became a couple on the show and left with each other after being voted off. But by the live finale, they were just “flirty friends” again.

It seems that now, weeks after the end of the show, they aren’t even friends, as both appear to be taking swipes at each other on social media.

The feud began after Boris posted a video to his TikTok, where he lip-synced to Lies by Culture Wars and captioned the video: “When you knew someone was lying to you on Love Island.”

Emma is thought to be retaliating after she posted a video to the same music with the words: “When they keep banging on about an undeniable connection.”

Now, Boris has issued a statement, telling the Mirror: “Look, I’m good. I’ve got nothing but respect for Emma, but I’m focused on my own path right now. Boris is doing Boris that’s where my energy is.”

She then posted another video alongside fellow Islander Andrada Pop, where the two danced and pretended to fight. “If you start a fight with me this is who I’m bringing as backup,” she wrote.

Andrada has also fallen out with her Love Island partner Ben Holborough. Like Boris and Emma, the two broke up before the Love Island finale, but this pair were far from friends as Ben had cheated on Andrada by kissing another girl. The same unknown girl also kissed Tommy Bradley, causing his break up with Lucy Quinn.

The couples still together from series 12 of Love Island are Emma’s ex Harry and his partner Shakira Khan, winners Toni Laites and Cach Mercer, Yasmin Pettet and Jamie Rhodes, and Meg Moore and Dejon Noel-Williams. Harrison Solomon and Lauren Wood are also seemingly still together but have still not made their relationship official, despite Harrison leaving the villa to be with Lauren after she was dumped.

Phillip Schofield’s two-decade career at ITV was “erased in three minutes” at the National Television Awards, it has been claimed. In a scathing observation about a montage at the glitzy awards this week, a journalist has pointed out that Schofield’s “30-year” contributions to ITV were notably omitted, despite the presence of his former co-star, Holly Willoughby.

The former This Morning star abruptly quit the flagship ITV show in May 2023 after admitting to an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger male colleague and has since stepped back from the spotlight.

Schofield, who also hosted Dancing on Ice alongside Willoughby, also claimed in a statement announcing his resignation at the time that the “consensual on-off relationship” was “now over”.

Despite a brief return to TV in the form of Channel 5’s Cast Away in 2024, Schofield has largely lain low since the scandal. And now one commentator has suggested his 30-year ITV career has been “erased” after he was missing from an emotional montage at the National Television Awards.

The Daily Mail’s Ephraim Hardcastle writes: “Phillip Schofield’s 20-year career at ITV was erased in three minutes at Wednesday’s National Television Awards.

“While his erstwhile This Morning partner Holly Willoughby featured, he was not mentioned in a montage showcasing 70 years of ITV’s stars. Not even a jokey, ‘Whatever happened to Phil whatsisname?!'”

Schofield signed his first exclusive contract with ITV in 1993 and is most known for fronting This Morning from 2002-2023 and Dancing On Ice on and off between 2006 and 2023. He resigned after the scandal broke in 2023.

In a statement to the Daily Mail at the time of the scandal, Schofield said he “met the man when he was a teenager and was asked to help him to get into television”.

He also issued an apology for lying to his colleagues, bosses, the public and the media. An ITV spokesperson said they were “deeply disappointed by the admissions of deceit” made by the presenter, noting that it had severed ties with him, reports the BBC.

In further quotes attributed to an ITV spokesperson, they said: “The relationships we have with those we work with are based on trust.

“Phillip made assurances to us which he now acknowledges were untrue and we feel badly let down.”

Earlier this year, ITV opted to end Dancing on Ice, which meant that Willoughby’s 21-year run as an ITV presenter had come to an end, having first joined the network in 2004 on CITV’s Ministry of Mayhem.

She also withdrew from You Bet!, co-hosted with Stephen Mulhern, due to scheduling conflicts with her reportedly now-axed Netflix show, Celebrity Bear Hunt, featuring famed TV adventurer Bear Grylls.

In March, an insider said: “It’s true there is nothing for Holly in the pipeline at the moment but that is unlikely to remain the case in the longterm. ITV has a long and happy history with Holly, our viewers love her, and she’s sure to be back soon.”

Love Island’s Mitch Taylor has admitted he is struggling to adjust to life away from the cameras, revealing he is back in full-time work and far from happy about it.

Mitch, who first rose to fame on the 2023 summer series of Love Island before returning for the All Stars spin-off the following year, told fans he is back to his old trade as a gas engineer after two years of chasing fame.

The 27-year-old used Snapchat to open up about the reality of post-villa life, saying: “Yes guys listen giving you an update on my life and to be honest with you. I’ve just not posted on Snapchat at all since. I’m grafting so much.

“Guys, I didn’t have a nine to five for two years because old rock star famous cool guy. Now, I’m poor, so I’ve got to work. And I can’t go on a dating shows because I’m in love with a girl. But it’s not that guys, it’s just like I’ve been working loads.”

His remarks sparked interest because during his time on the show he was often labelled “messy Mitch” for jumping between girls in the villa.

Viewers first saw him pair up with Molly Marsh, only for him to later pursue Leah Taylor, Jess Harding, Ella Barnes and Abi Moores.

After returning to the UK, he briefly dated Ella, though the relationship ended quickly. He was later pictured alongside his former flame Abi, fuelling more headlines about his complicated love life.

In 2024, Mitch gave the villa another go in Love Island: All Stars, but the experiment was short-lived.

He was eliminated on day 16 after clashing with Liberty Poole, once again confirming his reputation as one of the franchise’s most unpredictable Islanders.

Now, his attention is firmly on life away from TV. Mitch has been dating South African TikTok creator Hayley Griffin for over a year, and the pair went public in July 2024.

Hayley has joked about keeping him out of reality TV for good, quipping in a viral video: “Me taking Mitch on as a boyfriend so no one has to watch him on Love Island again.”

While Mitch has returned to the stability of his career before fame, his comments hint that he misses the excitement and lifestyle that came with being in the public eye.

For fans, though, “messy Mitch” will remain one of the most memorable Islanders in recent years.

Jessie J has opened up on her clash with a huge pop star for the first time as she admitted it came “out of nowhere”. The singer, 37, was branded ‘a d***head’ but remained silent at the time.

However, she has now decided to open up about the situation as she said: “Let me just talk about something that I’ve never talked about. I’ve never worked with this person but I just want to acknowledge it in this moment because I feel safe.”

Jessie, who is receiving treatment following her breast cancer diagnosis, admitted: “I probably shouldn’t but here we go.” She then explained what happened on KISS FM, but left out the name of the pop star.

The Pricetag hitmaker said: “So on TV, she said I was a d***head, out of nowhere.” However, host Harriet Rose told her: “No she didn’t. I saw this clip and I don’t want to say it because it’s very wrong, but she said that you were overrated.”

Jessie stood by her word and she clarified: “No, no that was one time, but then there was another interview where someone said to her ‘who are three people that are being a d***head,’ and she named me, Geri Haliwell and James Cordon.

“And I was like I’ve literally met her once.” It seems Jessie was referring to Spice Girl Mel B, who appeared on Channel 4’s The Big Narstie Show in 2022.

Comedian Mo Gilligan asked who she thought the biggest d***head celebrity she’s ever met was. Mel B then listed a couple of surprise answers, including her former bandmate Geri.

She quipped: “So, there’s a few. James Corden, Geri Halliwell, Jessie J and me. I know, I love Geri to bits but she’s really f***ing annoying.”

Mel explained why she doesn’t like James as she explained: “I think you always have to be nice to the people that you work with whether it be production, camera guys, sound, lighting – we all work for the same thing. So you should always be nice and he hasn’t been very nice.”

The Spice Girl never explained why Jessie was on the list. However, it wasn’t the first time shade has been thrown between the two stars.

In July 2019, Mel B was chatting with Heart Breakfast hosts Jason King and Kelly Brook when she was asked about who she loved in the music biz, and who she thought wasn’t all that. Her answer was Jessie as she branded her “overrated”.

Two months later, Jessie decided to hit back as she shared a clip of her singing her hit Big White Room. She cheekily captioned the video: “‘Overrated’ *Mel B Voice*.”
