Zoe Ball feared history would repeat itself after Fatboy Slim split

BBC radio star Zoe Ball has revealed how she was determined not to repeat the same blunder as her parents following the breakdown of her marriage.

The Radio 2 presenter shares two children, Woody and Nelly, with former husband Norman Cook (more commonly known as DJ Fatboy Slim) before the duo parted ways in 2016 following 18 years together.

The pair initially crossed paths in Ibiza in 1998 but their romance reached its conclusion nearly two decades afterwards.

Recently, during a conversation with Jo Whiley on their Dig It podcast, the duo were listening to remarks from fans of the programme when one praised how brilliantly Zoe had been in handling shared parenting duties.

Reflecting on her earlier days when her parents separated, she was determined not to travel down the identical path her parents had taken.

Zoe was keen to preserve a friendly bond with the DJ following their decision to bring their marriage to a close, explaining: “My parents split up. It kind of really broke my heart to get divorced because I felt like the thing I did not want for my kids is what happened to me.”

While Zoe’s mum and dad allegedly didn’t remain in contact following their divorce in the 1970s, Zoe revealed how she was committed to sustaining a positive connection with her former partner for the sake of their two youngsters: “And so when Norm and I split up, we were still friends and it took time. But one of our things, right, we’ve got to do right by our kids and we’ve got to make this work for them.”

After her parents separated when she was merely two-years-old, Zoe was raised by her father Johnny and stepmother Di, not seeing her biological mother until her teenage years.

Nevertheless, having built a strong bond with her mum over time, Zoe took a break from her career last year when her mother Julia tragically died after fighting cancer.

In a heartfelt tribute to her late mum on X (formerly known as Twitter), she wrote: “Thank you for teaching us how to love unconditionally, to always show courage and empathy, and how, even in the darkest of days, laughter is the greatest of gifts.”

After their initial encounter in Ibiza, it wasn’t long before Zoe and Norman made their relationship official, announcing their engagement in 1999.

The following year witnessed Zoe welcoming their first child, Woody, with their second, Nelly, arriving a decade later. Yet, after 17 years as a couple, the pair chose to end their marriage and have shared parenting duties for their children ever since.

Shoppers adore this fragrance, which has an impressive 4.6 out of 5-star rating on Lookfantastic. A third chimes in: “Versace Woman Eau de Parfum has been my mother’s signature scent for the last 15 years, and she always asks for it as a ‘pick-me-up’ gift. One customer does note their disappointment, writing: “I bought this as it was on offer for a great price. It smells really lovely, but I got through the bottle quite quickly. It’s not as strong or as long-lasting as other perfumes. Nice, but I probably wouldn’t purchase it again.”

But the praise is overwhelming, as this shopper gushes: “I always get compliments when I have this perfume on! It’s reasonably priced as well. If you’re looking for a cheap-ish nice perfume, this is the one for sure!”

Yungblud fans beg for ‘forgiveness’ after star shares series of saucy snaps

Singer Yungblud gifted shocked fans with a number of cheeky snaps shared to his Instagram page as he updated fans on his life on tour

Yungblud fans beg for ‘forgiveness’ after star shares series of saucy snaps

Yungblud fans were lost for words after the singer shared a series of suggestive snaps to his Instagram page. The 28-year-old breakdown musician only recently shocked fans when he showed up to the MTV Video Music Awards wearing a pair of extremely low rise trousers.

During the lavish event, he joined Aerosmith and Nuno Bettencourt on stage to pay tribute to Ozzy Osbourne – who died in July aged 76 – whilst viewers and celebrities at the event were shown a moving montage featuring Ozzy’s children Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Jessica.

In a new post shared with fans, Yungblud shared an update from his time on the road in America. “The road with my best friends,” he captioned the post.

In the first photo, the star stands in front of a food trolley, sipping tea in his hotel room. He wears nothing but a white towel around his waist, which he cheekily pushes down with his thumb.

He also shared snaps of him backstage, hanging out with fans, applying his usual black eyeliner. One picture was zoomed in on belt where a lit cigarette peaked out from his Calvin Klein briefs.

Yungblud also posted moments from his concerts and showed off a few of his outfits. Fans were quick to make jokes about the saucy snaps, with one user writing: “Forgive me father for I have zoomed.” While one fan commented: “I really like you, but I’ve seen enough of your pubes.”

One fan referred to a mirror selfie from when he was wearing a sheet mask on his face and said: “I love a man that appreciates good skincare.” However, another went on to say: “You need to be the face of Calvin Klein!”

“The energy on main we need,” commented another excited fan. At the VMAs earlier this year, Yungblud kicked off his Ozzy tribute by singing Crazy Train and Changes with Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt on guitar.

They were then joined by the Aerosmith duo Steven Tyler and Joe Perry for Mama, I’m Coming Home at the star-studded bash at New York’s UBS Arena on Sunday night.

After the performance, the quartet embraced and Yungblud shouted: “Ozzy forever man!” The footage showed pop star Ariana Grande rocking out to the performance and appearing in awe.

Speaking before the tribute, Nuno, 58, said he knew the tribute – which was introduced by Ozzy’s son Jack Osbourne and his four children via video link – would be emotional.

Yungblud had previously performed at Ozzy’s farewell concert, Back to the Beginning, at Villa Park, singing the iconic track, Changes.

Meghan Markle gushes over Prince Harry with eye-popping emoji on his birthday

Meghan Markle has shared a tribute to her husband Prince Harry as he celebrates his 41st birthday today.

The Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram as she shared a photo from Harry’s military days of him posing to the camera, alongside the caption: “Oh hi, Birthday boy”, with the flame emoji.

The photo was taken during a RAF flypast at Goodwood Aerodrome in West Sussex in 2015 to mark the 75th anniversary of victory in the Battle of Britain. The event took place one year before Harry and Meghan started dating.

Meghan’s post comes after she celebrated her husband’s return from his UK trip and his surprise visit to Ukraine, with a plug of her brand As Ever. Using her business page to celebrate Harry’s return instead of her personal account, Meghan was seen pouring two glasses of her brand’s rose wine in the garden. The caption across the screen reads: “When your beau is back in town…”

The message is a subtle shift from Meghan’s recent strategy of posting frequently about her husband and family on her personal page, as she has instead chosen to pay tribute to her husband on her As Ever platform.

Meghancelebrated Harry’s return after his whirlwind four-day trip to the UK, in which he attended a number of charity events and reunited with his father King Charles for the first time since February 2024.

Before returning to his home in California, Harry rounded off his trip abroad with a visit to Ukraine, where he gave a new bombshell interview. In the candid chat to The Guardian , he insisted he has a “clear conscience” when it comes to the scathing revelations he’s made about his family and revealed his father Charles is now his “main focus”.

During the lengthy interview, the Duke of Sussex reflected on Spare and his work on various Netflix programmes. These, Harry argued, were his and Meghan’s attempts at correcting “one point of view”.

“I don’t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public. It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear,” Harry said.

Last week, when asked how the meeting with his father went at Clarence House on Wednesday afternoon, Harry said: “Yes he’s great, thank you.” The estranged father and son met for tea after months of speculation on whether the pair could reunite during the Duke’s trip, with the meeting lasting for 55 minutes.

Elsewhere in the interview, Harry addressed claims that he is “miserable” with his new life out in Montecito, where he lives with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Speaking to the publication, he disputed the accusations, saying: “I am very happy with who I am and I like the life that I live.”

Ariana Grande issues stark statement ahead of Eternal Sunshine UK tour sale

In the aftermath of Ariana Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Tour US presale, the popstar has issued as statement as UK fans have been left in quaking in the trenches as they prepare to secure seats

Pop singer Ariana Grande has issued a statement after tickets for her 2026 The Eternal Sunshine Tour sold out within just minutes in the US – leaving legions of devastated fans grappling for resold tickets going for astronomical prices.

With UK tickets set to go live September 16, British ‘Arianators’ are anxiously prepping themselves for one of 2025’s most ferocious fan battles. It’s been six years since Ariana’s last tour, 2019 Sweetener World Tour, which drew over over 1.3 million fans across almost 100 shows. According to posts across X and TikTok, more than one million people have attempted to secure tickets to her 2026 tour, which will also see the star touch down in London for a five-night finale.

The rush has inevitably left thousands of fans upset, disappointed and desperate – in other words, a ripe environment for resellers looking to make a massive mark-up. On TikTok, one user @_cowboylikejess showed a screenshot of a resale ticket selling for $78,880 (£58,000) for the front show of tiered seating. Meanwhile, another fan @50shadesofsexiness shared a screenshot of a ticket going for $1.3 million (£956,700).

The prices have served as an ominous warning for those hoping to get their hands on concert tickets in the UK. “Ariana tickets are going to make me go grey,” one TikTok user has said as they expressed their fears over what’s been dubbed the “Ticketmaster war”.

Many in the comments have claimed that they’re not sleeping properly and feeling sick with stress, while for one: “The anxiety is eating me alive”.

However, the fans haven’t just been torturing themselves over the race to the ticket line – they’ve also taking it out on influencers.

With Ariana tickets being treated like gold dust, those who have secured them are being placed under inquisition-style scrutiny. If your fealty to the popstar is deemed to have ever wavered, then beware: the TikTok witch hunt is coming.

Makeup influencer Mikayla Nogueira appears to be the rabble’s most prominent scapegoat. The social media star made the grave error of posting that she had received front row seats, exposing herself to the wrath of the ticketless. A concerted deep dive into the artist’s post history unveiled the crime.

In an old TikTok review of an Ariana Grande makeup product, Mikayla agreed with a comment that said the packaging looked “cheap”. And while this may appear as a reasonable criticism by a reviewer, the fandom hasn’t taken it lightly. “I’m raging for everyone right now,” one wrote, while another cried: “Her biggest haters getting tickets and not her actual fans.”

However, she’s not the only one to fall victim. Online content creator Haylee Baylee recently mentioned in a comment that she hadn’t bought tickets as she wasn’t “gonna be mortal enemy number one and take anyone else’s spot. I’ll watch via TikTok live!” This was met with widespread applause from the Ariana fan community: “We cheered henny”.

In the wake of the carnage, Ariana has taken to Instagram to comment on the situation. She wrote: “Hi my angels, I have been on set all week but I wanted to let you know that what’s been happening with the secondary ticket resellers has been brought to my attention and of course I am incredibly bothered by it.

“I’ve been on the phone every second of my free time fighting for a solution. I hear you and hopefully, we will be able to get more of these tickets into your hands instead of theirs.

“It’s not right. I just wanted you to know that my team and I see it and that I care very much and we will do, and are doing everything we can. I love you all so much and thank you for your patience and understanding.”
