Christine McGuinness reveals why she’s ‘scared’ of dating apps as she teases over exes

Christine McGuinness, a former Celebs Go Dating participant, opened up about her concerns on her Situationships podcast about her prior experiences using dating apps.

Podcast host Christine McGuinness has shared her thoughts on dating apps after revealing that she’s never used one. She’s revealed that she’s concerned over one aspect, which she said she would be “petrified” of.

Christine, 37, has spoken about dating in the years since it was announced that she had split from Paddy McGuinness in 2022. She even briefly took part in the new series of Celebs Go Dating, which is yet to air on E4, and is expected to return in the finale.

She’s now giving fans an insight into her personal life on the new BBC podcast Situationships with Sophie and Christine, which launched earlier this month. Christine co-hosts the newly launched podcast with author Sophie Gravia.

A discussion about dating apps in the first episode saw Christine open up about her concerns. It came after the mention of ‘catfishing’ and Sophie recalling a date with someone who was “not all all” how she had expected them to look based on the photos that had been on his profile.

Christine posed the question, “Do you not think that someone is who they say they are or do you not check that they are?” after revealing that she had never been on a dating app. Sophie, who is currently dating, responded by saying she would never use dating apps and that she had never been.

Then, according to Christine, “I would be terrified of who could show up and who I’m talking to, and yeah, it scares me.” After that, Sophie continued to say, “I think they will become out of fashion.” Everyone is getting tired, in my opinion.

Christine continued, “I think it should come with something like… almost like a TripAdvisor… like a review thing.” Perhaps you’d like to read reviews from other people’s ex-partners or something.

After talking about the subject together, Christine said, “Imagine what other people’s exes would think of them.” She made fun of the fact that “mine, obviously, would all be five star reviews.”

Sophie did, however, acknowledge that some potential partners had different views of her boyfriend. She claimed that the way I’ve behaved in the past toward some people because I don’t necessarily like them was inexact.

It’s a part of the problem, Christine asserted on the podcast. How do you get out of dating and what have you really struggled with, in my opinion? because I wouldn’t want to cause a stir among anyone.

Christine had previously discussed dating in the episode after it was revealed three years ago that she had split from Paddy. It took her a while to even consider dating, she told her co-host Sophie.

Christine described how she first dates someone she had briefly met before “friendships had blurred the lines” and then fell into some “situationships” where “friendships had blurred the lines.” She claimed that they exchanged months of social media content before going on a date. My first true date ever, ever with a person I didn’t know, she said. But I felt at ease after messaging for those months.

BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds are the broadcasters of Situationships with Sophie and Christine.

Annabel described the incident in detail and thanked those who came to her aid in an Instagram post. People who are alone in London were just warned, “I just wanted to let you know.” She wrote, “Just got mugged waiting for a taxi outside King’s Cross St. Pancras.”

The man was wearing a black balaclava while riding a bike. He slammed straight at me and removed my phone. I got it back after he rode away with it, but luckily he dropped it. “Terrifying” added Anne. There are some lovely people out there, she continued. A lovely gentleman fortunately witnessed it and intervened to assist me. Who you are, I say thank you.

The new Strictly curse didn’t stop with Annabel as Seann Walsh recently revealed his phone was stolen in a post shared on his Instagram Stories.

He added that his phone was stolen (yes, out of my hand, and yes, I live in Lond) about a week ago, and that it is now in China if anyone happens to pass by. This is in addition to a screenshot from the Find My app, which shows his phone in Guangdong, China.

The comedian responded to the comedian’s request to write a book called “It could only happen to me,” saying, “If there are any publishers following me, I’m open to this, but it will be a very long book. It’s referred to as “Typical.”

RuPaul’s Drag Race star The Vivienne was discovered in a ‘murky’ bathtub by a neighbour after lying dead in the water for a couple of days, an inquest into their death has heard.

The tragic star, whose real name was James Lee Williams, died aged 32 earlier this year, stunning the showbiz world. On January 6, Cheshire Police said officers had been called to an address in Chorlton-by-Backford, near Chester, on the previous day following reports of a sudden death.

According to the coroner, James’ death was likely on Friday night based on the best of all possible circumstances and wasn’t discovered until Sunday. Nearby, five empty bags reportedly containing the drug were discovered. Coroner Jacqueline Devonish stated in her delivered verdict, “I am satisfied that James Lee Williams’ death was a misadventure. He took ketamine, but he had no idea how to end his own life.

Janine Gobold was informed when their friends contacted him about their incident at Cheshire Coroner’s Court today. After bringing her son into the home, she made the decision to use her key to access the TV show favorite.

She claimed in court that Ryan and I were calling each other names in the living room when we went into the kitchen and there was no response. The lights were on throughout. Ryan turned right as we reached the top of the stairs. There is a door leading to James’ bedroom, which is located there.

When I first glanced at James’ bed, which was completely ruffled, I assumed that Mr. Williams’ dog had ragged the quilt on the bed. When I went into the bathroom and saw James in the bath, he just appeared to be sleeping, I then went past James’ bed.

I reached out and grabbed their heads to prevent their faces from falling into the water. I pleaded for Ryan, telling them to call an ambulance and get some assistance. I kept talking to James because I didn’t want their faces in the water. When Ryan entered the room, he said, “Mum, I can’t come in.

She inquired about the patient and asked me to try and remove her from the bath, so I gently lay James back to take the call from the 999. I told Ryan to go get my partner Mike after attempting to lift his weight off of him. I advised him to call Bobby and that we needed assistance. Then I just sat down with James and checked that their head wasn’t caught in the water.

The performer’s body was interred in a church in Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire, North Wales, where they are from originally. The drag star’s family confirmed their death in March from a cardiac arrest brought on by taking ketamine.

The senior investigating officer in the James death, DS Thomas Philpotts, describes using the restroom. He had a suspicion that he had been in the dead for some time. The officer wanted to know if anything about the officer’s investigation involved any suspects or third parties. He conducted a house search.

He claims that a small bag that appeared to have previously contained drugs was discovered while searching James’ bedroom. James’ phone was next to the bathroom’s sink, and there was a bin with several more packets of suspected drug in it.

He believes James allegedly used them before he even started using the bathroom. He claims that James had been taking a bath since Friday night despite what I had been told. He asserts that his hypotheses suggested that James had probably perished from a medical episode, possibly brought on by drug use, or perhaps drowned in the bath. He claims there were no suspicious circumstances or third-parties’ involvement.

Bob Vylan dropped by agents in latest blow after Glastonbury controversy

Following their shocking behavior on stage at Glastonbury, Bob Vylan’s agent has been fired. During their Worthy Farm festival set, the band sparked controversy.

They chanted “death to the IDF” from the stage during their performance on Saturday at West Holts, which caused a stir between Glastonbury founder Emily Eavis and the BBC. Both politicians and the general public criticized their statements.

The Ipswich-based duo no longer appear on United Talent Agency’s website, having previously been there. Before it was decided Bob Vylan would be dropped, executives had reportedly spoken over the weekend, according to Deadline, and they are no longer on their talent list.

The BBC said in a statement that they should have canceled Bob Vylan’s live show today. Before the BBC eventually removed the set, it was uploaded to iPlayer and remained there for more than five hours.

The BBC stated in a statement that “Millions of people tuned in to watch Glastonbury this weekend across the BBC’s output,” but one of our live performances featured offensive comments.

The BBC “respects freedom of expression but is firmly opposed to incitement to violence.” The antisemitic sentiments that Bob Vylan expressed were completely unacceptable and should not be broadcast on television. We applaud Glastonbury’s criticism of the performance. The West Holts stage was streamed live on BBC iPlayer as part of the performance.

They continued, “Our editorial guidelines were followed by the decision on Saturday to issue a warning on the screen while streaming online. Additionally, we made the decision to not provide the performance for free. Although the team was performing live, it is possible that we should have retracted the stream prior to the performance. We regret that it wasn’t possible. In light of this weekend, we will review our guidelines for live events to make sure teams are informed of when it is acceptable to maintain output on air.

Bobby Vylan took to Instagram to defiantly declare, “I said what I said, “along with a lengthy statement where he wrote about the state of school dinners and teaching our children to” speak up for the change they want.”

We are horrified by the statements made by Bob Vylan onstage at the West Holts over the weekend, said Glastonbury manager Emily Eavis in a statement over the weekend. There is no place at Glastonbury for antisemitism, hate speech, or incitement to violence, and their chants have clearly crossed the line.

Oasis shut down roads in Cardiff as fans warned ahead of sold-out gigs

Liam and Noel Gallagher’s highly anticipated comeback tour gets underway on Friday in Cardiff, south Wales, but Oasis fans have been warned it could be tough getting there

Fans flocking to see Oasis’ first performance in 15 years have been warned it could be tricky getting to the stadium.

The legendary group kick-off their tour on Friday with the first night of their 41-day run starting in Cardiff, and road closures could make things challenging. The M4 motorway is expected to be very busy as thousands descend of the city to witness the historic moment, the council say.

It comes as Liam Gallagher has spilled more new details of the first show of the group’s highly anticipated reunion tour and issued a stern warning to fans. In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, this morning, Liam, 52, revealed what time fans can expect the first gig – and told them to be on time.

A spokesman for Cardiff Council also urged people to leave plenty of time, saying : “The M4 motorway is expected to be very busy for these concerts – so please plan ahead – and avoid the congestion in Cardiff by using the park and ride at the car park by the Vindico Arena on International Drive in the Sports Village. For up to date traffic information on the motorway and trunk roads go to the Traffic Wales website, or @TrafficWalesS on Twitter and Facebook.”

But if you missed out on getting Oasis tickets the first time round, there will be another chance to nab one – as the band confirmed this week that more tickets will be released very soon – just ahead of the Gallagher brothers hitting the road.

What roads will be closed?

From 7am, Scott Road and Park Street will be closed because of the need to prepare gate five and protect queuing fans, WalesOnline report.

Apart from the Oasis concerts, when the roads will close at 12 noon, the following roads will be closed as part of the full city centre road closure which will take place at 3pm until midnight.

  • Kingsway from its junction with North Road to its junction with Duke Street.
  • Cowbridge Road East from its junction with Cathedral Road to its junction with Westgate Street.
  • Tudor Street from its junction with Clare Road to its junction with Wood Street (access for residents and traders will be permitted via Fitzhammon Embankment).
  • Plantagenet Street and Beauchamp Street from their junctions with Despenser Place to their junctions with Tudor Street (access for residents and traders will be permitted).
  • The following roads will be closed in their entirety: Duke Street, Castle St, High Street, St Mary Street, Caroline Street, Wood Street, Central Square, Westgate Street, Quay Street, Guildhall Place, Golate, Park Street, Havelock Street and Scott Road.
  • Station Terrace and Guildford Street from the junction with Newport Road to the junction with Churchill Way will be access for buses only during the times of the road closures. This is to ensure that there is reliable access for buses to the satellite points in Churchill Way.
  • Additionally, Penarth Road will be closed 30 minutes before the concerts finish and for up to an hour after they finish, on safety grounds – for train passengers arriving and departing from the train station.

Civic centre

Access to part of the civic centre will be controlled throughout the day, with access allowed only for event parking, limited commuter parking, loading and access to private car parks.

Roads affected include King Edward VII Avenue, Museum Avenue, City Hall Road, College Road and Gorsedd Gardens Road.

Train service arrangements

To help manage the expected increase in passenger numbers, Transport for Wales (TfW) and Great Western Railway (GWR) will operate additional and strengthened services (trains with more carriages than usual) to get customers to and from the events smoothly. But some engineering works may impact services, and passengers are urged to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journey.

The start of Oasis’s sell-out tour will see GWR operate six extra trains to get people home again, providing almost 4,000 additional seats, for each of the two nights.

For all events, those looking to travel by train are warned to check the time of their last train home, and to allow plenty of time. A queuing system will begin from 10pm and the queuing for mainline rail services will be on Central Square with the Valley queues at the rear of the station.

Cardiff bus interchange will close at 12 noon for the Oasis concerts and at 3pm for the remaining concerts. Cardiff Queen Street Station will close at 10pm, unless customers have accessible requirements or are travelling to Cardiff Bay. Revenue protection inspectors will conduct ticket checks both before and after the events.

Gogglebox star stuns in summer floral dress after losing six stone

Amy Tapper shows off her six stone weight lost at a family wedding and fan’s are stunned with her incredible transformation

Former Gogglebox star Amy Tapper looked stunning in a gorgeous summer’s dress for a family wedding this weekend following her weight loss. The 25-year-old looked radiant in the ruffled, plunging number as she posed with friends and her sister-in-law Hannah at the celebration.

Amy has been sharing her fitness journey with fans on Instagram and earlier this year revealed she’d officially dropped six stone breaking down in tears as she jumped on the scales in front of her personal trainer.

“I cannot believe it – I’m so proud of myself,” she wrote at the time. “Here’s to the next stone and more.”

In February, she shared a mirror selfie wearing a jumper from 2022 that now hangs loosely on her slimmer frame. “Officially 5 stone down and I couldn’t be happier. Never thought I’d be able to reach this milestone so I think I can say I’m proud of myself.”

“Thank you for being by my side throughout it all,” she told fans.

The support Amy’s received hasn’t gone unnoticed. Her transformation has inspired others to share their own health goals – something she says means the world. “More recently it has come full circle with people on my social media sharing in my weightloss journey and sharing their goals and progress too. It’s an amazing feeling when they thank me for being their inspiration.”

Amy revealed she kick-started her health journey with a challenge to shed 3.5 stone – losing 33cm from her waist in just five weeks at the start of 2022. But she’s been open about the fact that years of trying diets, they never gave her lasting results.

She explained that it was only after making a positive lifestyle change that her health journey finally took off.

From a young age, Amy says she recognised she had a bigger build than her peers and although she was never bullied for her weight, she was always aware of her size.

Amy first appeared on Gogglebox at 13, alongside her mum Nikki, dad Jonathan and brother Josh. The show catapulted the family into the public eye and straight into the firing line of cruel social media trolls.

“I’d see people on Twitter calling us ‘the fat family from Gogglebox’,” she said. “My dad and I would both get nasty comments about our weight… but my mum and my brother have never had any problems with their weight.”

Despite the hurtful comments, Amy stayed focused and determined to hit her goals and she’s now become an inspiration to others doing the same.
