It follows killer Ed Gein, played by Charlie Hunnam, who is said to have served as inspiration for some of the most iconic horror movies including Psycho, The Silence of the Lambs and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

In rural Wisconsin in the 1950s, the series uncovers Gein’s house of horrors. Gein has been shocked by his crimes because of isolation, psychosis, and an obsession with his mother.

He admitted to making clothing and personal items from human skin and excavating bodies from graveyards. In the first episode of the series, Gein attempts to put on a grotesque mask with hair that appears to have been created by one of his victims.
