Alex Scott’s massive net worth and £1.5m mansion as she joins I’m A Celeb jungle

Former Arsenal footballer Alex Scott has been reported as one of the highest-paid presenters at the BBC, following a successful career, as she prepares to enter the jungle

TV presenter and former professional footballer Alex Scott’s net worth has been revealed as she heads into the jungle for the 2025 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Alex has embarked on a successful career so far and reportedly has a net worth of £2million.

The former Arsenal footballer is reported to be one of the highest paid presenters at the BBC, with her yearly salary reported at a whopping £220,000. Alex also calls a £1.5m mansion her home and has done since 2021. It is reported that she shares her home with her girlfriend, singer Jess Glynne.

The huge home is equipped with a gym and garden which Alex often gives glimpses of when she shares her home workout videos online. Her home interior appears stylish with creme coloured furniture and a burst of colour from plants.

It comes as Alex said goodbye to her partner to head into the jungle and opened up on what she will find the most challenging.

She told ITV: “I will need to push myself to speak out around all of the different and big personalities. Not going into myself for being the shy one will be my big challenge.

“People see you on TV and they assume you are outgoing, that loud person but take me to red carpets or events and I am the one in the corner going, ‘talk to me, please give me a plus one so I don’t have to be that person who walks in on my own.’ It’s going to be a challenge.”

Alex Scott also opened up about how much she will miss her girlfriend Jess in the jungle and said the pair are “genuinely so in love”.

Alex admits that her taking part in the show will mark the longest they have ever been apart, but added that singer Jess pushed her to say yes to the ITV show.

She told The Mirror: “It is a test for both of us. I know she is at home, and she is going to be my biggest cheerleader, supporting me, and she really wanted me to do this because she knew that I wanted to test myself, and it is going to be a challenge for us both being separated. But I suppose that is what makes the heart grow fonder, right?”

Inside camp, Alex is braced for creepy crawlies and sleep deprivation, but says the emotional side might be even tougher.

“I think for me, that might be the tough side,” she said. “I think I have always been so guarded and had this big armour up as a way of protection and kind of not letting people in… So I feel like being in the jungle and having those conversations, maybe I will have to show a vulnerable side and not have that armour up so much.”

‘I won I’m A Celebrity and this year’s stars must avoid huge mistake everyone makes’

A former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! champion revealed what he sees as campmates’ biggest mistake in the jungle, as he reflected on his own experience

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has returned with a fresh line-up ready to tackle the upcoming Bushtucker Trials. The brave stars venturing into the jungle this year so far are; Kelly Brook, Martin Kemp, Alex Scott, Jack Osbourne and Ruby Wax, Lisa Riley, Aitch, Angry Ginge, Shona McCarty and Eddie Kadi.

Following tradition, the famous faces will once again trade their luxurious lifestyles for very basic living conditions and must win stars for meals in camp.

Per the show rules, each participant can take along one luxury item – something Joe Pasquale took advantage of back in 2004, after seeking advice from past contestants.

The 64-year-old says contestants frequently make the mistake of choosing a sentimental item, rather than something useful, which they later regret.

Looking back on his jungle stint, he revealed: “I phoned the people I knew who had done it before [and asked], ‘What shall I do?’ and they said, ‘Take a chair’, so that’s what I did.

“That’s what they should do, they should phone the people who have done it before, but they think they know better.”

Highlighting items such as body lotion, cream, a hairbrush and a family picture as standard luxury item selections, Joe fumed: “It’s all a waste of time!

“The only thing you have to take, and this is what I took, is a fold up camping chair because the only thing you have to sit on is your bunk, which is about six inches off the ground, or a wooden log which is round, and after two hours of sitting on a log your back is killing you.

“So, I took a chair so as soon as I got there, I unfolded it and sat in that and everyone is looking at me after a couple of days.

“I kid you not, every single person during the time I was there would say, ‘Joe I’ll swap you two spoonfuls of meat’, or whatever it was we were having for dinner, ‘for two hours in your chair’ because the only thing you want is a chair.”

Joe also confessed that he remained more comfortable in camp thanks to smuggling in additional underwear.

He went on to say: “You’re only allowed two pairs of socks and two pairs of pants, so you know, you’ve got a pair on and then you wash a pair and put them back on.

“But, because it’s so humid out there, the humidity is very high, nothing dries, so you end up putting on damp pants and damp socks.

“Once again, I took advice from other people as well, [and when] I went out there I put on 10 pairs of socks on and had 10 pairs of pants on as well.”

He continued: “They pat you to make sure you haven’t got any contrabands, they check, but no one checked how many socks I had on and no one checked how many pants I had on, very thin pants and very thin socks.

“So every other day, I had clean pants and clean socks and people would go, ‘How come your pants are so dry?’, I’d go, ‘Oh I just dried them out’, but they wouldn’t believe me.”

Joe’s commitments to star in the Aladdin panto at the Swansea Grand next month mean he won’t be able to tune into the show as much as he’d like, though he already has a firm favourite.

“I think Martin Kemp is going to win it, it’s always a nice person who wins it and Martin is a really lovely bloke,” he revealed.

“You never know who to put your bets on, but if I had to take a stab in the dark, I’d go with Martin.”

Joe will be stepping back into the role of the hilarious Frankie in Aladdin from 6 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.

Discussing his return to the stage, he said: “I’ve done [Aladdin] half a dozen times I reckon. I love doing panto, and I did my first three pantos ever in Swansea Grand, it’s like my ancestral panto home, so I’m really looking forward to going back.

“It’s got all the digital sets plus all proper comedy and proper music and proper singing and dancing, it’s just very exciting.” Tickets can be found here.

Music star Todd Snider pleaded ‘I’m famous’ to cops before dying after ‘violent attack’

The singer-songwriter’s tragic final days have been pieced together…

Music star Todd Snider pleaded with cops arresting him to be let back into a hospital in tragic body cam footage that shows him being handcuffed and put into the back of a police car days before he died. The star is heard telling them: “I have a band, I’m famous – the band ditched me. I need my lawyer here. I’m not a bad person, I promise.”

The star’s untimely death at the age of 59 was revealed yesterday. The singer-songwriter had been forced to cancel dates on his High, Lonesome and Then Some tour saying he’d sustained serious injuries following a “violent assault” outside his hotel.

The star is thought to have gone to the hospital after the alleged attack, but refused to leave once discharged. At one point an officer asked him: “When they told you don’t come back, why did you come back?” He said he didn’t remember that, adding: “I walked as far as I could and I was in so much pain and I came back.”

Later, he begged one of the officers: “Can I please go back to the hospital? Sir, I am sick. Please let me go back, give me one more chance.”

A statement released by his friends and family before he died said he was suffering from an undiagnosed case of ‘walking pneumonia” and that his condition had “become more complicated”. A follow-up post reported the sad news that he had “departed this world”.

The news was greeted with despair by his fans, with one writing: “Absolutely heartbreaking news. Thank you Todd for so many incredible nights of stories and songs that were unlike anybody else and always just pure magic.”

The acclaimed musician, who was behind 14 studio albums, was recorded telling cops earlier this month: “I have a band, I’m famous – they ditched me” and begging to be let back into Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City after they put him in handcuffs.

Todd’s music incorporated alt-country, folk, rock, blues, and funk. He recorded 14 studio albums and his songs included the hits Alright Guy and Talking Reality Television Blues, which was covered by Tom Jones. The Portland-born star was inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame in 2021.

A statement announced Todd’s death on his Instagram page yesterday. It read: “Where do we find the words for the one who always had the right words, who knew how to distill everything down to its essence with words and song while delivering the most devastating, hilarious, and impactful turn of phrases?

“Always creating rhyme and meter that immediately felt like an old friend or a favourite blanket. Someone who could almost always find the humor in this crazy ride on Planet Earth.”

It went on: “He relayed so much tenderness and sensitivity through his songs, and showed many of us how to look at the world through a different lens.

“He got up every morning and started writing, always working towards finding his place among the songwriting giants that sat on his record shelves, those same giants who let him into their lives and took him under their wings, who he studied relentlessly. Guy Clark, John Prine, Kris Kristofferson, Jerry Jeff Walker.

“How do we move forward without the one who gave us countless 90-minute distractions from our impending doom? The one who always had 18 minutes to share a story. We’ll do it by carrying his stories and songs that contain messages of love, compassion, and peace with us.

“Today, put on one of your favourite Todd Snider records and ‘play it loud enough to wake up all of your neighbours or at least loud enough to always wake yourself up’. We love you Todd, sail on old friend, we’ll see you again out there on the road somewhere down the line. You will always be a force of nature.”

An update on November 3 informed fans that Todd’s High, Lonesome and Then Some 2025 tour dates were having to be cancelled, saying: “Ahead of Todd Snider’s show in Salt Lake City, Todd sustained serious injuries as the victim of a violent assault outside of his hotel.

It has been reported that I TV producers were hoping for a dry series of the show as the weather can impact the morale of the campmates who are essentially living outside. It has been reported that when it rains, the campmates crowd together in the Bush Telegraph to seek shelter.

Back in 2023, it was reported that Brittney Spears’ sister, Jamie Lynn, abandoned her spot on the show due to the rain and was followed by food critic, Grace Dent.

Last year was marked as the worst rain in the ITV shows history, however no campmates decided to leave before their time. A source reported to the Daily Mail: “The jungle camp cannot cope with this level of rain and the thing is, when it rains like this, it’s not fun for anyone involved. In fact, it’s miserable. It dampens the mood and ultimately ruins the show”.

The first episode of the 2025 series kicks off tonight (Sunday 16 November) and the first challenge that a few of the stars will face is Sky’s The Limit.

The first five celebrities to arrive on site are Kelly Brook, Aitch, Eddie Kadi, Shona McGarty and Martin Kemp who are told to skydive into their jungle experience.

The celebs are told that they will be competing to win a seat in the Getaway car which will provide them with the most direct route to camp. And also a steak dinner along with a comfy bed will await them if they win the challenge.

The task consists of trying to unlock the Getaway car key fob which is attached to rope. Making their way through offal and slime, they have to find the tools that will help them unlock five bolts on the wall, which in turn will unlock the key fob.

Jason Manford jokes wife Lucy Dyke is expecting his seventh child saying ‘here we go again’

The comedian took to social media to jokingly suggest his wife, Lucy Dyke, is pregnant with his seventh child, in a post that “backfired” and infuriated his other half

Jason Manford took to social media to jokingly hint that his wife, Lucy Dyke, is pregnant with his seventh child, unenthusiastically commenting “here we go again”. He later admitted the joke “backfired” and that he “didn’t even think” about the impact on his wife.

Earlier on Sunday (16 November) the comedian and father of six took to Instagram to share a post of himself looking tired and miserable in a hospital waiting room, underneath a picture of a baby scan. In the caption, he wrote: “Here we go again”.

Fans immediately flooded the comments with congratulatory messages, and some also showed surprise, as Jason already has six children. “No way…” one wrote. “6 sounded hard work when you were talking about your family at Derby gig the other night. Congrats.”

Others pointed out the comedian had a vasectomy two years ago, and wondered how it was possible that he was expecting another child. One fan penned: “I was thinking then, how did that happen! He’s had the [scissor emoji] you b*****! Hope the scan goes OK Xx.”

Just two hours later, Jason had to head back online to apologise to fans, admitting it was a joke and that he was actually waiting to have a scan for a hernia. “Well that joke backfired,” he admitted. “Sorry folks, was just a scan for a potential hernia! (All clear btw!). Bored on a Sunday.”

Many fans commented laughing emojis in the comments, suggesting they found the joke funny. This included fellow comedian Asim Chaudhry who followed his emojis with the words: “You potent prankster you!”

Just an hour after that, Jason revealed his wife’s furious reaction to the posts. He shared a screenshot of texts between them, in which Jason sent Lucy a screenshot of a Daily Mail article about his joke and commented underneath: “Whoops”.

Lucy responded with an angry demand. In all capitals, she wrote: “YOU OWE ME CHLOE SHOES AND THE EXPENSIVE ONES”. Designer fashion brand Chloe sells trainers, heeled shoes, boots and sandals as part of its footwear collection, with prices ranging from £390 to £2,290.

In the caption of the post about Lucy’s reaction, Jason admitted he didn’t think about the impact of his joke on his wife: “This has not gone well! I didn’t even think.”

He then jokingly asked how much Chloe shoes were, and suggested £40, a price much lower than any of the shoes listed on Chloe’s website.

Jason married Lucy in 2017 and the pair have two children together. He has four children by his first wife, Catherine, whom he married in 2007, but got divorced from in 2013.
