The man who grabbed Wicked star Ariana Grande at the film’s premiere in Singapore has been sentenced to prison.
Johnson Wen, 26, was quickly identified and has pleaded guilty to one charge of being a public nuisance. Now he has been given nine days’ jail time after jumping the barricade and ambushing the singer.
The 32-year-old mega-star was greeting fans from the yellow carpet event – in a nod to Oz – when a man suddenly ran towards her and put his arm around her shoulders. This prompted her co-star Cynthia Erivo, 38, to leap into action and push the man away from a clearly bewildered Ariana.
A court in south east Asia heard that the man had arrived in Singapore on November 11 on a social visit pass so he could attend the premiere. He has recently pulled similar stunts with a shocked Katy Perry who kept her cool but pulled away from him as he suddenly joined her on stage during a gig in Sydney in June.
In a clip of the incident, Cynthia, who plays Elphaba to Ariana’s Glinda in the second part of the hit movie which is released in UK cinemas on Friday, is heard shouting: “Get off!” before putting a protective arm around her colleage.

The E4 reality star has spoken publicly about his break-up for the first time
Married at First Sight UK star Davide Anica has broken his silence over his shock split from co-star, Keye Luke.
The pair were matched on the E4 reality show and married upon their first meeting. Throughout the series viewers watched as their bond strengthened, and they soon became firm fan favourites.
Despite making it all the way to the end of the experiment, Keye confirmed the couple had now parted ways in an emotional statement posted last week. It came after the MAFS UK reunion specials aired in which the former spouses had presented a united front.
Keye explained: “In the early hours of a Sunday morning, while Davide was on a flight, I downloaded Grindr. I want to be clear that I was not looking to cheat, hook up, or find someone else. I was in a dark and fragile place and reached for something unhealthy because I did not know how else to cope.
“What I was seeking had nothing to do with intimacy. It was an attempt to escape emotions I could not sit with, and I reached for substances when what I really needed was support.”
He added: “When Davide found my profile through his, it cost me my marriage. That is something I carry with me every day.”
Now Davide has also taken to social media to offer his side of the story and how he feels about the “painful” separation which occurred five months ago.
In a lengthy statement, he admitted: “The night in question (this happened five months ago), I had a gut feeling something wasn’t right. Out of my own insecurity I created a profile on Grindr to check whether Keye was on the app only to find that my gut feeling was correct.
“That moment was painful and it made the trust between us break in a way I couldn’t move past. That’s why when it was broken, it was something I simply could not overcome. I won’t lie I was deeply hurt and shocked but with time, I’ve healed and found peace.”
Both men shared their respect and love for the other in their respective statements and their MAFS UK co-stars have since rushed to offer up messages of support.
“You are one of the most genuine, kind, caring people I know. You’ve been an absolute inspiration to us all. I will always be here for you, love you,” penned Abi Lindsay, while Leigh Harris added: “I couldn’t be more proud of how you’ve navigated this Davide. Even when people hurt you, you still act with kindness and compassion.”
The couple are not the only fan favourites on the show to have now split, with Rebecca Fen and Bailey Smith also confirming their separation last week.

Bailey confirmed the sad news in a social media statement, and admitted it had been “ridiculously hard” watching their love story unfold on MAFS UK.
“We tried our best to navigate life after the experiment, and although we spent a lot of great time together on the outside, unfortunately the relationship came to an end,” he added.

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here’s Martin Kemp told son Roman to “leave it” when they discussed the hit TV show. Former EastEnders actor Martin was among the latest bunch of famous faces to arrive in the camp last night.
The One Show host Roman, 32, came third when he appeared on the hit ITV show in 2019. Spandau Ballet bassist Martin says his son was the “first person” he spoke to when offered a part on I’m a Celeb.
But he feared his son would take credit if his advice led to him being crowned King of the Jungle. Martin however says Roman was “jealous” that he was going on the show.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, 64-year-old Martin, said: “Roman was the first person I asked for advice about whether I should take the job, and he told me to go for it and said he was jealous of me going in.
“But then he kept trying to give me advice, and I had to tell him to stop. I was like, “Just leave it, Roman,” because if I do well, I know he’ll just claim the win. If I do win, Roman won’t live it down.”
Roman finished behind Coronation Street star Andy Whyment and EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa in 2019. Martin believes his “life experience” will help him in the show.
He also says he wants to be himself, because “the last thing I want to do is go in there and be false, I’ve never done that and I don’t want to start now”.
Roman previously revealed his dad told the family he was entering the show by sharing a picture of him in the I’m A Celeb outfit on WhatsApp. Martin however insisted he was “sworn to secrecy” by producers.
Speaking to Roman on the You About? podcast ahead of the show, Martin said: “I’m really excited about it. I love doing iconic television, stuff that I’ve been watching for yours, and my favourite memory of the show is you being in it in 2019.”
He added: “When I went to a fitting the other day and I was trying on jungle clothes, I almost felt like I was putting on your clothes. I thought, ‘I bet Roman had these on,’ but it’s really exciting.”
Martin asked his son how he breaks the boredom in the show. To which Roman replied celebrities rely on speaking to each other to break up the day and doing trials.
Roman added: “The boredom’s hard and you want trials. I don’t understand people who go in there and they don’t want a trial, you want trials.”
Roman however says the pressure of dealing with a Bushtucker Trial is “hard”. He also warned his dad about the infamous I’m A Celeb meals, including crocodile feet and eels.
I’m a Celeb contestant Kelly Brook is preparing to show off her killer curves in the jungle shower – throughout her career her body has been a constant focal point with her weight a subject she’s refreshingly frank about

Having started out her career as a model at the tender age of 16, Kelly Brook is certainly used to her body being scrutinised. So it’s no surprise she’s fully prepared to strip off to a bikini for her iconic moment in the I’m a Celebrity jungle shower.
Following in the footsteps of fellow Loose Women panelist Myleene Klass, who made headlines almost 20 years ago for showering in a tiny white bikini, Kelly – no stranger to posing in her swimwear and sharing the snaps online – will undoubtedly see her weight become a topic of discussion once more.
The 45-year-old has embraced her changing shape as she’s matured and has always been open and honest about her feelings over her body and how she handles the brutal jibes from online trolls. She has also discussed the connection between what the scales say and her happiness.
Kelly shot to fame as a lingerie model and after being discovered by the Daily Star, which featured her as a Page Three Girl. She was crowned FHM’s Sexiest Woman in the World in 2005 and made the shortlist almost every year thereafter. It wasn’t just lads’ mag readers who admired her sexy physique though. A poll of more than 5,000 women voted hers the best British female body.
But the Heart Radio presenter has revealed being slim didn’t necessarily mean she was happy and it was often quite the opposite. “I think I definitely had my moments of feeling very insecure. When you go through break-ups and things like that, it really impacts your diet, and some of my skinniest times were also some of my most miserable,” she told Grazia.
“The best part about getting older is that all those insecurities just fade away. You think outside yourself and are no longer as self-obsessed or self-focused. Right now, I’m not thinking about my stomach hanging over my jeans. I’m thinking about feeding this little cat that’s just walked in my door.”
Kelly, who married long term boyfriend Jeremy Parisi in 2022, may be comfortable in her own skin but she’s faced cruel comments from online trolls over her weight gain. In 2020 she revealed she’d been branded “past her best” and “unsexy”.
“They see me as this 40-year-old fat girl and they’re like no!” she told FEMAIL before generously saying she understood why they thought that way. “I get it, it’s funny. But people grow up, people get bigger, people change, it happens.”
Despite her refreshing views on gaining a few pounds, Kelly has admitted that she wasn’t happy with her weight in 2017 when she went up to a size 16. A photographer rudely told her to “breathe in” and a year later she started on the SlimFast programme. She lost two stone and went down four dress sizes and is now a proud ambassador of the brand.
“I wasn’t feeling happy in my body. I wanted to lose weight, and now I’ve lost it. I’m maintaining it and feel really good,” she told the Mirror at the end of last year while she was in training for the London Marathon. Although she promotes body positivity, she did also admit she sometimes finds it “tricky” to accept hers is so different these days. “I’m just trying to embrace the changes as I get older. I’m not trying to hold on to the body of my 21-year-old self, I’ve got to embrace that it’s different,” she said.

“It’s tricky though, I was trying a dress on in a shop the other day and, you know, 20 years ago I’d be able to put anything on and feel fabulous. But now my boobs aren’t as high as they once were, I’ve got fat rolls on my back, and this and that – but I just embrace it. I do think we can be too hard on ourselves though. I’ve learned, especially training for the London Marathon, I just want to be fit and strong. I’m no longer into looking a certain way. I just want my body to work and be able to do amazing things.”

As Danny DeVito is celebrating his birthday on November 17, his fans have been left gobsmacked to learn how old the actor really is, as many thought he was in his 60s
While Danny DeVito first started off working as a cosmetologist in a morgue, styling the hair of the deceased, he has since become a A-list celebrity, known for his long list of iconic roles in various films and TV shows. He started his acting career in off-Broadway shows in 1969, before starring in his first film – One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest – in 1975, after having appeared in the off-Broadway production of the show with the same name four years earlier.
He later rose to fame on the hit TV show Taxi in 1978, where he played dispatcher Louie De Palma. This role went on to earn him an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his performance. This was the start of his on-screen fame, as he decided to grow his film career.
Clearly, he has succeeded, as fans will know recognise the actor for his long list of films and TV roles, including in Matilda, Batman Returns, and popular sit-com It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Taking to a Reddit thread all about the sitcom, one user went on to share a photo of the actor, revealing the snap had been taken as the star entered his 80s.
“Danny DeVito at age of 80s,” the Reddit post read, before sharing a black and white photo of the actor, who is looking up over the camera.
While the post was seemingly made as a way to highlight the actor for his birthday, fans quickly took to the comment section to share their shock to learn how old Danny really was, as many thought he was 20 years younger.
“He looks great,” one person wrote, while a second user said: “I thought he was 60! Damn he’s doing good.”
“He looks 65 at 80,” another person commented, to which someone else added: “Yes he has aged well.”
Another user also expressed their shock as they said: “Omg can’t believe that.”
While Danny is celebrating his 81st birthday in 2025, he doesn’t appear to have any plans to retire from his acting job, as he remains a member of the main cast of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, where he plays the character of Frank Reynolds.

He also featured in the 2024 movie Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, while also making guest appearances in recent episodes of TV shows Rick and Morty, and Abbott Elementary.
While some fans might be worrying the actor will retire from acting, he has previously stated he has no plans to ever walk away from his career.
OJ Simpson’s estate has agreed to pay Fred Goldman a payout of up to £61 million in the long-unresolved wrongful death case tied to the 1994 killing of Ron Goldman

OJ Simpson’s estate has agreed to a payout of up to £61 million to Fred Goldman, more than three decades after his son and the former NFL star’s ex-wife were brutally killed.
More than 30 years after a California court ruled that the late American football player must pay millions in damages, the estate has now accepted the settlement in principle. The development comes after 25-year-old Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson were savagely stabbed to death outside her Brentwood home.
Simpson was acquitted of the murders in 1995 after an eight-month trial, but in 1997, a civil jury found him liable and ordered him to pay the Goldman family. Now Malcolm Lavergne, the lawyer acting as executor of Simpson’s estate, has said he has formally agreed to more than £44 million demanded by Ron’s father.

Last week, Lavergne filed paperwork with the Nevada Probate Court confirming his intention to accept the payout. With interest, he expects the total to land between £53 million and £61 million. The U-turn comes after Lavergne said in April last year he hoped “the Goldmans get zero, nothing” and vowed to do everything in his power to “ensure that they get nothing.”
Both sides must now settle the question of how much interest is owed. Lavergne called the calculation a “pain in the butt” because Nevada’s court interest rate changes twice a year in line with the state’s prime rate.
“He’s not off by that much,” Lavergne said of the Goldman side’s figures. “But he’s off by enough that we need to work to get it right.”
Although the civil case originated in California, Simpson’s move to Las Vegas in 2017 made enforcing the judgment far more difficult. In February 2021, Goldman filed what is known as a foreign judgment in Nevada, officially shifting the case across state lines.
He sought £44 million – far less than the £89 million he once pursued under California’s more generous rules for creditors. Any interest now due dates back to February 2021, when the claim was domesticated in Nevada. Lavergne conceded Goldman would have had an easier time collecting had Simpson remained in California.
Goldman, now 84, still has the right to object once the estate produces its final number, Lavergne said. But he insisted the best way would be to negotiate directly rather than file further motions. Goldman did not respond to requests for comment.
Asked if Ron’s father could ever realistically collect most of the judgment, Lavergne replied: “The answer is no unless I buy a lottery ticket.” He added: “And I happen to know that OJ didn’t win the lottery,” noting the former running back gambled on sports heavily in his later years.
Further complicating matters is Simpson’s outstanding tax debt, which Lavergne said must be settled with the IRS before the Goldman family receives a cent. To raise funds, the estate plans to auction Simpson’s remaining valuables, including his 1985 NFL Hall of Fame ring and the Olympic torch he carried through Santa Monica for the 1984 Games, with Nicole Brown jogging behind him during the relay.
“There’s still a lot of work to do, but we’re making progress,” Lavergne said.
Simpson died on April 10, 2024, at age 76 from prostate cancer. Brown Simpson filed for divorce from her husband in 1992, citing irreconcilable differences, following a history of domestic violence. The couple had been married for seven years and had two children, and Simpson had pleaded no contest to spousal abuse in 1989.
