Inside AngryGinge’s pre-jungle trip to Monaco with F1 world champion Lando Norris

Newly crowned King of the Jungle AngryGinge treated himself to 24 hours of luxury in Monaco with F1 world champion Lando Norris before heading into the Australian jungle

Streamer AngryGinge has just been crowned King of the Jungle after winning this year’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, but it seems the YouTube star already had a taste of luxury life with none other than F1 winner Lando Norris.

Morgan Braithwaite, who goes by AngryGinge, boarded a British Airways flight to Nice, France, before travelling to Monaco with his team to meet up with Lando, in a bid to spend 24 hours in the driver’s life.

Lando has just taken home a crown of his own, winning the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this weekend in a thrilling championship fight with teammate Oscar Piastri and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen.

A year prior, the 26-year-old hosted AngryGinge in his home, serving him a racers lunch of pulled chicken tacos, lime, pineapple, and slaw, which Ginge claimed tasted like “sh*t”, before shadowing Lando in his usual training plan.

Ginge said he “can’t imagine [being an F1 driver is] hard, he sits on his a*** all day” but struggled during the gym workout. He then tried out a cryochamber, set at minus 105 degrees, and insisted on keeping his Crocs on, despite warnings that they’d be “really cold” after.

Ginge also tried out neck workouts that are necessary for F1 driving, due to to counteract the immense G-forces (up to 6G or more) experienced in corners. “It’s fascinating and I don’t even watch the sport,” Ginge commented.

Lando took Ginge and the rest of the team on a road trip in his Lamborghini, and along the way they stopped to enjoy some crepes. Lando liked them so much he ended up licking his plate clean. Later, he surprised everyone by treating them to a helicopter ride over Monaco.

The British racer’s earnings have steadily climbed since his debut season, and in 2024 he inked a lucrative new agreement keeping him at McLaren through to 2027. The deal is believed to net him approximately $21million (£15million) annually.

Taking into account this contract along with his various sponsorship deals with brands like Richard Mille, Monster Energy and PlayStation, Celebrity Net Worth places his wealth at roughly $70million (£52million).

When he signed his new deal last January, Norris remarked: “It’s a great feeling… I’ve grown up with McLaren and feel at home here, the team are like family to me.

“The journey so far has been exciting. We’ve had ups and downs, but last season showed our desire to get back to competing at the front of the grid.”

Meanwhile, in the last year alone, AngryGinge is predicted to have made an impressive fortune between £804,000 and £1.1 million – just from social media. A far cry from his first-ever Twitch stream.

Morgan launched his career five years ago on the streaming platform, where users can watch and broadcast live videos, often video game content. Here, they can earn money from subscriptions, adverts and Bits, a virtual currency which can be used to support creators.

His first video, in which he streamed FIFA in October 2020, drew inspiration from Castro1021. But he peaked at just 40 viewers in his first stream, banking a small sum of £12.44. Several months after launching his channel, he took a break as he had averaged between six and seven viewers. But a year later, he returned with a regular streaming schedule during the week and went on to amass a huge number of subscribers.

Jamie Oliver admits ‘me and Jools had to make a decision’ after ‘brutal’ struggle

Jamie Oliver, who is fronting a new Christmas cooking show on Channel 4, has revealed he was temped to ‘pull a cord’ and escape as he faced a tough ordeal alongside his wife, Jools Oliver

Jamie Oliver, 50, has admitted he and his wife Jools Oliver, 51, “had to make a decision” about the future during a rough patch sparked by the TV star’s career in the spotlight.

Speaking on an episode of the This Is TASTE podcast, TV chef Jamie opened up about the early days of his meteoric rise to fame, after he caught the eye of BBC producers who were filming in The River Cafe.

Channel 4’s Jamie’s Cook-Ahead Christmas host said that although the experience was thrilling at first, he was soon subjected to “brutal” criticism “from every direction”, leading to a serious discussion with his other half.

Jamie recalled that when he landed his own show, The Naked Chef: “I was just so young. I was so excited for life. I was so excited to move out of my little village, which I adored, go to London. London was so full of excitement and opportunity and culture and just, like, excitement and always something on.

“And it was complete luck that I got dragged out of obscurity. You know, I was literally just like a skin and bone and a set of lips.”

Jamie confessed he was naive and didn’t realise how much scrutiny he would go on to face, adding: “I was a 23-year-old boy when it kicked off, 24 when I became famous and everything that goes with it. So I think I was just naive. And then it took me years to work it out.

“And then sort of, about, sort of four years in, I’m like, oh, like that was, you have the high, and then you get an a*** kicking and it’s like brutal from every direction.

“And then it’s sort of like, okay, I’ve got a little cord I can, like, metaphorically speaking, I can pull this cord now and sort of jettison out of this.”

Podcast host Matt Rodbard then suggested to Jamie: “You wanted that, you sought that in some ways. Of course you like the celebrity and the money was not bad, but you wanted to maybe not have the press, be on the front page.”

Jamie revealed in response: “Me and Jools had to make a decision. If we do it, we have to go all in. Like, you can’t half do it.”

Huw Edwards’ issued warning over ‘tone-deaf’ comeback bid with former BBC star on ‘thin ice’

Huw Edwards has sparked reports he is considering a TV comeback with a surprising move – but is that really possible for the disgraced star? A PR expert reveals all…

It’s no surprise that Huw Edwards has kept a very low-profile since receiving a six-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, after he admitted charges of making indecent images of children. And it was assumed he would continue to shun the spotlight.

However, the disgraced BBC news presenter has sparked surprising rumours he is considering a return to TV. The 64-year-old raised eyebrows when he posted a new brooding black and white portrait photo on his Facebook account.

The headshot shows Huw wearing a checked jacket and shirt, sporting white stubble and with a half-smile. Perhaps surprisingly, it elicited a number of positive comments from his fans, including one which read: “I hope you are keeping well Huw. Remember, you have so much talent to share.” Another told him in Welsh: “Hurry back Huw, you are a big loss, all the best in the future.”

Huw was sentenced in September 2024 after pleading guilty to three charges of making indecent images of children. The court heard that among a number of WhatsApp exchanges with a man later convicted of sex offences, he was offered “naughty” images of somebody described as “yng (sic)”, to which he replied “go on”.

The former newsreader admitted having 41 images, which were sent to him on WhatsApp – including some showing a victim aged between seven and nine. He was sent images by a 25-year-old convicted sex offender called Alex Williams. The court heard that in another exchange with Williams, Edwards replied “yes” followed by three ‘X’s when asked whether he wanted sexual images of a person whose “age could be discerned as being between 14 and 16”.

Given the nature of his crimes, is a comeback really possible for the Welsh TV presenter? We spoke to PR expert Mayah Riaz about what the future could hold for Huw. She told the Mirror: “When it comes to Huw Edwards potentially returning to TV, the public mood will be everything. Right now, this feels less like a comeback story and more like a reputational minefield. Audiences do have short memories, but they do not have no memory. Trust, once damaged at that level, is incredibly hard to rebuild.

“If Huw is genuinely considering a return, it would need to be carefully handled, slower paced and rooted in accountability, not reinvention. A slick photoshoot or brooding portrait does not equal redemption. In fact, it can backfire and look tone deaf if the public feels someone is trying to bypass the hard work of rebuilding trust. Right now, the optics of this scream strategy, not sincerity, and viewers are very sharp when it comes to spotting spin.”

Mayah continued: “The difference between a comeback and a career misstep is timing and humility. Right now, it feels too soon and too visible. You cannot rebrand your way out of a reputational crisis, and the audience will not be fooled by a moody headshot and a soft launch. If he returns, it would likely need to be away from mainstream broadcasting at first, something lower profile and more reflective. You do not glide back onto prime time like nothing happened, the public will not buy that.

Sara Cox’s heartbreak as close pal dies after gruelling Children In Need challenge

Radio 2 DJ Sara Cox has been left devastated after a close pal passed away – a matrer of weeks after she completed a tough and emotional challenge for Children In Need

Sara Cox, 50, has been left heartbroken after her beloved friend Peta died, just weeks after the radio star finished her 135-mile Great Northern Marathon Challenge for Children In Need – raising an incredible £11.5m.

She announced her friend’s tragic death on Sunday with a moving tribute to her – including throwback snaps of the pair together over the years.

In the sweet carousel of pictures, Sara and Peta could be seen smiling and enjoying themselves at various moments, including on exotic holidays and at fancy dress parties together. Alongside the snaps Sara wrote: ‘Sleep tight Peta, You’ll always be in my heart x.’

Fans shared their condolences in the comments section, with one saying: ‘Sorry for your loss Sara. So hard when we lose a close friend’. Another wrote, ‘’Sara I am so sorry to hear this. Life can be so cruel and unfair at times. Sending you love and thoughts’.

Back in 2012, the Radio 2 DJ opened up on her special friendship with Peta to The Standard – confessing that one of her favourite things to do when she was in London was go for dinner with Peta, and her mum Jackie Cox.

The sad news comes not long after one of the presenter’s most gruelling challenges to date. Just last month Sara revealed that donations were continuing to stack up after completing her epic Children In Need challenge, after she shared her behind-the-scenes appeal film, Sara Cox: Every Step of the Way.

She covered an incredible 135 miles on foot across Northumberland, County Durham, North and West Yorkshire – the equivalent distance of five marathons across five days – and afterwards received congratulations from Prince William and rapper Stormzy.

Sara revealed the new total on her Radio 2 show and said: ‘You are legends. Every fiver, tenner, every twenty, every thirty. Whatever you gave a couple of quid on the side of the road.

“The kids that gave their money that they got from the tooth fairy. Every penny goes to helping children and young people in the UK and you are absolutely incredible.

‘If it’s safe to do so, you are not operating heavy machinery, holding a small child or nursing a large whiskey, give yourselves a pat on the back. That is beautiful. Eleven and a half million pounds. We did it together, thank you.’

After crossing the finish line, Sara revealed to Scott and Radio 2 listeners that music got her through the challenge: ‘I would like to thank Chase and Status and Stormzy for Backbone.

‘And I’d like to apologise to my son because on telly, if it stays on the documentary, I am singing that song quite a lot and it’s so cringe.

‘So I am so sorry to my kids. We spend a lot of time playing brilliant music on Radio 2… I was singing along at one point like a mad woman, singing along to Blur, and all sorts just to try and push through.’

I’m A Celeb winner Angryginge on new sex symbol status as girls rush to date him

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! winner, Angryginge, has spoken to the Mirror about his new heartthrob status after being crowned King of the Jungle on Sunday

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! winner, Angryginge, has lifted the lid on his new sex symbol status in an exclusive chat with the Mirror.

The YouTube star, real name Morgan Burtwistle, 24, has amassed a whole new fan base after being crowned the King of the Jungle on Sunday in what many have hailed as the ‘best I’m A Celeb final ever’.

Ginge – who admitted his ex-girlfriend broke up with him via text while he was livestreaming before he went in the jungle – said of the new female attention: “It’s not something I would have anticipated, I must admit. But yeah, maybe me in jungle attire is quite sexy.”

He also said his mum, Michelle, who brought up Ginge and his sister, Tasha, on a council estate in Manchester, is receiving messages on her personal Facebook account from girls swooning over her superstar son.

Fellow YouTube and Twitch stars Tays and Scousemali have claimed that Ginge went onto I’m A Celebrity to find a girlfriend.

In a clip from their livestream shared by a fan to TikTok, Tays said: “Ginge told me before he went on there, that he’s going on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here to find a girlfriend.”

He continued: “That is the reason he said he is going on I’m A Celebrity. He said that he is going there to find a girlfriend.”

However, Ginge told us that he considered quitting the show after setting up camp in the jungle when the reality of what was ahead of him hit home.

Viewers later watched the star break down in the Bush Telegraph as he missed home. And he reveals that he later spent some time alone.

He admitted: “I came out the Bush Telegraph, and then I went and sat by the pond by myself there.

“I asked myself ‘Do I want to go the extra two weeks. I was debating it, but then I just powered through it.’”

However, revealing he wanted to make his beloved mum proud, he continued: “I will never forget where I came from, and I think because I started literally from the bottom and watched everyone around me from my mates to their parents, my mum, everyone had to graft their way to get wherever it was.”

Money was tight and Ginge’s mum had to work several jobs to keep them afloat. Even so, when the star was 18, Michelle was forced to sell the family home and move somewhere cheaper. He moved in with his Nana round the corner to ease the pressure.

As a result, Ginge says his aim from the outset was to make his mum proud. He concluded: “She told me I’d done that…but then she also said: ’I was already proud of you…you didn’t need to go on the show to do that.”
