Ed Sheeran has candidly opened up on married life as he gave a very rare insight into his relationship with wife Cherry Seaborn. The pair try to leave a very private life despite Ed’s huge status and now the Shape Of You singer has admitted they have “real conflict” in their marriage.

Ed, 34, and Cherry, 33, have been married since 2019 and share two kids together. The singer treated fans at a Q&A session at Spotify and admitted it’s important to be honest that life isn’t always smelling of roses.

Sharing personal details, Ed explained how his relationship has helped shaped his music. “Cherry knows I write about everything – not just the good stuff. Songs like ‘Perfect’ exist, but so do the ones about real conflict,” he told the crowd.

“That’s part of any relationship, and I think it’s important to be honest about it.” And speaking about his songwriting, he confessed that a song Bono wrote about missing his wife’s birthday inspired him to write his own personal tune for Cherry.

“It’s a personal moment that exists only for her,” he lovingly said. And Ed also revealed how he has had to take a step back on his workload in search of a fine balance. “In my early career, it was 100 per cent work, 0 per cent personal life. Now it’s 70 per cent family, 30 per cent music. Balance isn’t just healthy – it’s success.

“When I look back at these years with my family and friends, I want to say: I lived those days and I enjoyed every minute.”

Ed also shared how, despite his estimated £370million fortune, he enjoys a budget holiday at Butlin’s. The singer confessed that one his best holidays was a trip to the resort in Minehead in January.

He was part of a stag do and such was his love for the time, he is desperate to go back. He dressed in disguise as Roy Wood from Wizzard fo the event and admitted he was “off my nut” and that the resort was “f***ing awesome”.

He said: “For my mate Doug’s [stag], we went to Butlin’s. It was an Eighties-themed weekender and we saw tribute bands Pearl Scam and Metal Militia.

“I dressed up as [Roy Wood from] Wizzard and I had this big beard, long white hair and sunglasses. And I was off my nut. It was great. Butlin’s goes hard. I love it. I never thought I’d go to Butlin’s. Then, when I was there, I was like, ‘I need to come here more often — this is f***ing awesome’.”

It was a far cry from his own stag do, which involved a Wolf Of Wall Street theme. His own bash involved being force-fed shots on a small plane. “It was Wolf Of Wall Street-themed.

“All of my mates dressed up and they put me on a plane,” he told The 2 Johnnies podcast. “My manager got this small prop plane.

“We flew from Stansted for 20 minutes just to be like, ‘We’re on a plane’. And then it’s grim. You know when you’re being force-fed shots? It was that. But all of my mates’ stag dos have been different.”

Mysterious death of huge 90s icon who died aged just 32 with horrifying ‘explanation’

The star of many 90s and 00s hits Brittany Murphy’s death at just aged 32 hit home with fans, but when her husband died exactly the same way five months later some horrifying theories have gone around

Appearing in Clueless, Sin City, 8 Mile and Girl Interrupted, Brittany Murphy was a Hollywood star rising up through the ranks in the 90s and 00s. But her life would come to a tragic end at just 32 in what appeared to be natural causes, but is still shrouded in mystery.

On December 20, 2009, Murphy was found collapsed in the bathroom of her Hollywood Hills home by her mother after calling her for help. After being rushed to a local hospita she passed away soon after.

The official LA County Coroner concluded the actress had died from pneumonia, with a severe iron deficiency and intoxication from over-the-counter medicines contributing to her death.

In the 2021 HBO show What Happened, Brittany Murphy?, deputy medical examiner Dr Lisa Scheinn said she could have been walking around with the disease for a fair while trying to power through it.

She added: “If she had gotten to a hospital early enough, you can detect pneumonia on the chest X-ray. It’s very easy to do. They could have possibly started treatment. But she would’ve had a chance.”

When she died, her iron levels were critically low, with her haemoglobin level “very anaemic” at just a level of 3.0, while a normal rate is between 12 and 15.5.

In a shocking twist that has confused many, just five months later, in May 2010, Brittany’s husband, Simon Monjack, died in the very same house from the same condition. The 40-year-old’s death was cited as a combination of pneumonia, anaemia and intoxication from medication, sparking some intense speculation.

While theories from poisonings to the effects of an alleged eating disorder have spiralled around, some amateur sleuths believe the couple’s death was down to toxic mould hiding in their house and getting into their lungs.

While this theory gained traction online, Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office Assistant Chief Ed Winter flatly rejected this possibility.

According to Winter, toxicology reports and autopsies found no evidence mould played any role in their deaths, with no spores being found in either of their lungs.

Murphy’s father, Angelo Bertolotti, pushed for further investigation and, in 2013, commissioned independent toxicology tests after he accused Brittany’s mother of poisoning the couple, with traces of metal found in their hair.

However, these allegations were not held up with no evidence of any poison being found in her toxicology report, and the metals were instead thought to have come from everyday items such as hair dye or hairspray, and critical signs of heavy-metal poisoning in the bloodstream or nail patterns were absent.

Today’s horoscope for September 17 as a small mistake will derail Leo’s plans

Today’s horoscope for September 17 sees one star sign told to embark on a fact-finding journey, while another should focus on their more important relationships

Find out what’s written in the stars with our astrologer Russell Grant(Image: Daily Record/GettyImages)

It’s Wednesday, September 17th, and a small mistake or wrong move will derail one star sign’s plans.

There are 12 zodiac signs – Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces – and the horoscopes for each can give you the lowdown on what your future holds, be it in work, your love life, your friends and family or more.

These daily forecasts have been compiled by astrologer Russell Grant, who has been reading star signs for over 50 years. From Aries through to Pisces, here’s what today could bring for your horoscope – and what you can do to be prepared.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

You’re feeling bold about acting on what you believe is right but it might help to slow down and think things through again. Today, wisdom lies in balancing courage with caution. Don’t rush decisions. Patience is a virtue and a thoughtful pause could help prevent future regrets.

Taurus (Apr 21 – May 21)

You feel torn between retreat and involvement. You can think more clearly in familiar, comfortable places like your home or a favourite quiet spot. This also encourages reflection on your long-term goals. Don’t ignore what needs fixing. At the same time, don’t forget to enjoy what’s good.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21)

You’re unsure about your position and this is sufficient reason to hold off from making important decisions. After some indecision, you’re eager to sort things out. This makes it a good day to embark on a fact-finding journey. It will help you make choices that benefit you and your future.

Cancer (June 22 – July 23)

You may feel sensitive and slightly anxious early on but as the hours wear on, your focus will turn towards what means most to you. A financial or emotional decision asks for maturity. Don’t let temporary doubts cloud your longer-term view. Stand tall in what you know, even if it takes time to be understood.

Leo (July 24 – Aug 23)

After an incident early on, you will prepare yourself for a challenging day. Your work and career interests will prove to be the most difficult. A small mistake or wrong move will derail your plans and all you can do now is focus solely on matters you are most familiar with.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sept 23)

You could find yourself distracted by domestic matters and joint responsibilities. If you need to get on with your work, turn off your phone to prevent calls from housemates disrupting your concentration. Your family needs to know that while their issues do require attention, they can wait just a little while longer.

Libra (Sept 24 – Oct 23)

Today’s energy nudges you to reflect on your role in your wider circles. Are you giving too much or holding back too much? A sense of duty could be weighing you down, but your heart knows what truly matters. Focus on your more important relationships. The rest can wait.

Scorpio (Oct 24 – Nov 22)

Visibility and responsibility are closely linked. Whether in your career or personal life, others are watching how you conduct yourself. Let kindness guide your words and actions. Even if things feel a little constricted, you are building something lasting. Don’t rush what needs care.

Sagittarius (Nov 23 – Dec 21)

Your ideals may bump up against reality but don’t let this cause you to lose heart. Instead, look on this as an opportunity to refine your vision. Knowledge and understanding grow through experience, not just theory. A chance to teach or be taught may arrive. Something meaningful is happening beneath the surface.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 20)

If you’re hoping a relationship will last for years to come, remember to nurture your partnership as a romance. You don’t have to come up with anything new for this. A box of chocolates, a bunch of flowers, a bottle of champagne or a candlelit dinner will help refresh your relationship.

Aquarius (Jan 21 – Feb 19)

You’re making progress in a way that feels both surprising and satisfying. Even your usual daily routines hold hidden opportunities. Something good will come out of teamwork or creative problem-solving. Let your originality shine.

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

Even though you have been trying to hide your feelings, emotions move from hidden to seen. You feel more expressive, yet responsibility tugs at the edges of your conscience. Speak honestly, especially with yourself. Lead with courage and kindness even if the spotlight feels daunting.

Loose Women star Jane Moore weighs in on the Thomas Skinner affair bombshell

Thomas Skinner, who has admitted he has made “big mistakes,” including cheating on his wife Sinead, is set to make his Strictly Come Dancing bow on Saturday night

Thomas Skinner said he is ‘being portrayed a public enemy number 1’(Image: Instagram/iamtomskinner)

Thomas Skinner has not helped himself amid the scandal around his affair, according to Loose Women star Jane Moore.

The salesman, who was on The Apprentice, admitted he cheated on his wife Sinead just weeks after their wedding. During the three-month fling, he allegedly told Amy-Lucy O’Rourke, 35, she “was the love of his life” but his mistress is believed to have eventually told Sinead about the infidelity.

But Thomas, 34, has since even confessed on social media “If you dig you’ll find more,” a damning comment which Jane, a journalist and broadcaster, by which she suggested she was baffled. Sharing her opinion on the bombshell, which has emerged ahead of Thomas’ run on Strictly Come Dancing, Jane wrote: “Thomas adds: ‘I’ve got an extremely chequered past . . . if you dig you’ll find more.’ Er, thanks for the tip. Something tells me he hasn’t had media training.”

The exact details of the TV star’s “extremely chequered past” remain unclear but Thomas, of Romford, east London, had shared another post on X yesterday – but he swiftly deleted it. The post featured a photograph of him and Sinead, mum to his three kids, enjoying a romantic dinner and the words gushed about his wife. A section read: “When you make a mistake no matter how long ago or how big or small. There are only three things you should do about it: admit it, learn from it, and definitely don’t repeat it.”

But in today’s edition of The Sun Jane, who has been on Loose Women since 2013 in this stint, suggested Thomas has encouraged the publicity himself. In her opinion column, she added: “Following reports that he flounced out of a Strictly press conference after discovering journalists were recording his comments (what was he expecting – a quill and ink well?) it has now emerged he had a three-month affair shortly after marrying wife Sinead.

“Taking to X, he posted that it ‘was one stupid moment I’ll carry forever’ and that his wife had forgiven him. End of, you might think. But no, 34-year-old Thomas adds: ‘I’ve got an extremely chequered past . . . if you dig you’ll find more.'”

And Jane suggests this last comment added fuel to the fire and has only led to further criticism. However, the attention comes days before dad-to-three Thomas is due to make his Strictly Come Dancing debut in the new series.
