Jimmy Kimmel’s savage reaction to ABC’s decision to axe his late-night show

Jimmy Kimmel Live has been canceled by ABC! Jimmy Kimmel, a veteran host, made a number of comments regarding the response to Charlie Kirk’s murder indefinitely after Kimmel made several comments.

Jimmy Kimmel is said to be “p*ssed” over ABC’s decision to axe his late-night show indefinitely.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! has been scrapped following the veteran host’s divisive comments about the reaction to Charlie Kirk’s assassination on Monday and Tuesday’s shows. A group of ABC-affiliated stations said it would not air the programme, citing the remarks broadcast less than one week after the killing as the reason.

However, according to sources, the host, who has hosted and been the show’s executive producer since 2003, “isn’t going to take this lightly.” According to an insider, Jimmy is upset that he was forced to suspend him and the show, and he won’t take it lightly because he is actively looking for ways to leave his contract. Jimmy is now looking to end his relationship with ABC forever with this decision.

“Many in MAGA land are working very hard to capitalize on the murder of Charlie Kirk,” Kimmel said. The MAGA gang is frantically trying to characterize this kid as anything other than Charlie Kirk, and they are doing everything they can to get political points out of it, he added on Monday’s program.

Nexstar Communications Group, which owns 23 ABC affiliates, labeled these as “offensive and insensitive,” and ABC itself took action quickly on Wednesday. Kimmel, who hasn’t commented on the decision, has, however, publicly stated on Truth Social: “Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done.”

Kimmel’s contract is up in May next year, though, and insiders believe he is now “looking for ways to get out” of the deal. It is believed Kimmel, 57, is set to go on Stephen Colbert’s show in the US in the coming days as Colbert – a Democrat – has also been criticised by Mr Trump after his show was axed by CBS in the summer.

The source told the Daily Mail: “They both are in the same predicament with being against the Trump administration, and they are now looking to do something together to fight for what they believe in. They both don’t want Trump to win in any way or fashion at all, and this has lit an extreme fire under Jimmy’s a** to continue to tell it like it is and be real to himself.”

Country singer Spencer Hatcher’s mother was murdered by an armed intruder in the middle of the night.

Following the violent stabbing, which police described as “apparently completely random,” Spencer, 28, expressed his grief yesterday. In a heartbreaking tribute to the woman who worked as a teacher in Harrisonburg, a city in Virginia, he called his mother, Holly, “his biggest fan.”

The up-and-coming country artist thanked fans for their support since the August 3 attack, saying, “You all sent so many loving comments and messages and made posts and everything. We tried our best to read them, but I just want to let you know how grateful we are and how you are all.

She was everything I did with the most support and support I could muster. She adored the music. She adored everything about it. She adored the performances and the music. And I’ve already made the decision to continue making music, making faces in people’s eyes, and playing on the stage and everything else after much thought, prayer, and speaking with my label about doing it, you know.

Spencer’s 62-year-old mother passed away, forcing him to cancel three shows. The singer confirmed that these will be changed. Kevin Moses Walker, 41, allegedly stabbed the teacher with a large knife as the only suspect in the case. Michael, Holly’s husband, fatally shot him on the Harrisonburg property’s driveway.

Despite the challenging time since, Spencer told fans he is determined to continue with the rest of his tour, and write new music. In a YouTube video, in which he addressed his fans, Spencer added: “I know that is what my mom would want me to do. She would want me to keep on, and I know how much she loved it, and I know how much y’all love it.”

I won’t give up, I promise. I’m going to keep going and work as hard as I can. As I return to it, I want you to join me on this journey. I just want to thank you all for your help and support for me forever.

Justin Bieber makes Coachella history with his astonishing pay check

Justin Bieber will make history at Coachella – and pundits feel it’ll be “the start of an exciting new era”.

The superstar is set to headline the 2026 festival and reportedly negotiated his terms directly with Goldenvoice, the festival’s promoter. He’s managed to secure a record-breaking paycheck of more than $10 million (£7.3 million), it is understood, which makes him the highest-paid performer in the event’s history.

Sources told Rolling Stone it is “a groundbreaking move” for Bieber, 31, who follows in the footsteps of the likes of Post Malone, Travis Scott, Green Day and Lady Gaga in headlining at the two-weekend festival in Indio, California. An insider said: “Between headlining Coachella and the success of Swag, it’s clear this is the start of an exciting new era for Justin — one where he’s fully in the driver’s seat… It’s a groundbreaking move for a headliner, and it’s something he built entirely on his own.”

Sources say Bieber’s fee surpasses $5 million (£3.6 million) per weekend, a figure that puts him well above past Coachella payouts. Alongside Justin, the two Saturdays are set to include the likes of the Strokes, Addison Rae and Labrinth.

Sabrina will headline both Fridays, which are due to also feature performances from the XX, KATSEYE and Teddy Swims. Each Sunday will see headliner Karol G, as well as other acts like Young Thug, Wet Leg and FKA twigs, take to the stage.

Bieber recently released Swag, which was his first album since 2021, in July, and then followed it with the double album Swag II earlier this month. Prior to Swag’s release, Justin had sparked concern among fans with posts on social media, including one that hinted at a “detox”.

In a change of circumstance, the singer-songwriter will not be handing over a portion of the Coachella fee to an agent, leaving him with one of the most lucrative festival deals ever made because his new material has been realeased without assistance from an agent.

Although Coachella never reveals how much they pay artists, speculative reports online have surfaced over the years for past acts. Bad Bunny, who was one of the headliners for 2023’s Coachella, allegedly got paid $5 million (£3.6 million), per the Trapital Podcast. Meanwhile, The Weeknd reportedly asked for $8.5 million and Ariana Grande is said to have taken home $8 million (£5.8 million).

The film came about after the success of High School Musical, which made a star out of Zac Efron and became the network’s second-most successful franchise behind Hannah Montana. Camp Rock followed Demi’s character as she battled with camp rivalries and eventually plucked up the courage to belt out This Is Me in a grand competition.

The film spawned a sequel, titled Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, which was released in 2010, in which Demi reprised her role. Strictly’s Chris McCausland to appear on new quiz show with Bake Off star

Comedian and reigning Strictly Come Dancing champion Chris McCausland will appear on a BBC Two quiz show alongside Great Briths Bake Off’s Sandi Toksvig

Chris McCausland will join Sandi Toksvig for QI

Strictly Come Dancing winner Chris McCausland will be a guest on comic quiz show QI when it returns to BBC Two in October. The show, in which obscure questions are asked in a funny way to get guests to answer incorrectly, will soon start a new season, Series W.

Sandi Toksvig will return to host the show, which she has done since 2016, following the departure of Sir Stephen Fry. Like always, she will be joined by comedian Alan Davies, the only permanent guest on the show, and an array of other comedians making appearances in single episodes. These guests will also include comedians such as Jimmy Carr, Aisling Bea, Rosie Jones, Nish Kumar, Jo Brand and Julian Clary.

This is not Chris’s first time on QI, as he also appeared in a Series S episode called Smörgåsbord, with Jen Brister and Jimmy Carr. The comedian has been on a number of comedy panel shows, including Would I Lie To You?, Have I Got News For You, and 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Of Series W, QI series producer Piers Fletcher said: “We had a whale of a time making the W Series of QI. After 23 years learning how to weave together wisdom, wit and whimsy, we’re really getting the hang of it, I think. Watch it, and thank me later.”

There will be 14 of the longer QI XL episodes, which will last 45 minutes. The series will also feature two 30-minute specials. The episodes will also be available on iPlayer in October, though the exact launch date has yet to be announced.

Launching in 2003, QI is over 20 years old. It sees celebrity contestants like Chris answer sometimes misleading questions in an attempt to trick them into an “obvious but wrong” answer, for which they incur a forfeit.

Sandi, 67, has hosted the show for nine years, and also recently announced a new show called Sandi Toksvig’s Hidden Wonders, which will see her hunt for undiscovered archaeological treasures.

The former Great British Bake Off presenter also hosted Sandi’s Great British Woodland, which saw her buy a patch of neglected woodland and set about restoring, managing and conserving it for future generations, earlier this year.

Dianne will be appearing on the show in the upcoming season, which launches on 20 September. The Australian dancer has also revealed she is pregnant. She and her partner, Joe Sugg, first met at a dance competition in 2018.
