Gogglebox stars the Malones have left fans devastated after announcing the death of their show-regular dog Bob.
It is fresh heartache for the popular clan, who have now lost four dogs since 2018. Sharing some videos and pictures of their beloved pet, Shaun wrote: “Today is the day we had to say goodbye to big bob, absolute great dog like a big cuddly bear.”
The Rottweiler was a fixture on the C4 show, and was often seen curled up on the sofa with his head in Shaun’s lap as he reviewed the weeks’ TV with his family.
It’s more heartache for Tom Sr, Julie, Shaun and Tom Jr after the death of their other dog Dave back in October 2023. The Manchester-based Channel 4 favourites also lost boxer Frank back in 2018. They also mourned Lucy’s death in 2022.
Following the announcement, their social media was flooded with condolences from fellow Gogglebox stars and supportive fans. Ellie Warner commented: “So sorry to hear about Bobby, run free over the rainbow bridge” while her sister Izzi said: “Sending you all lots of love.”
They wrote at the time: “RIP Dave xxx There are no words to describe you, or how much you meant to us. This was you on Sunday waiting for your Dad to come back and he had only gone out to the car x We are all going to miss you so much.”
While they joined the cast as a family over a decade ago, Tom Jnr left to pursue other projects in 2021. Fans have occasionally seen Tom and Julie’s daughter, Vanessa, appear on the show. Off-screen, Tom Sr works as a lorry driver, Julie is a receptionist, and Tom Jnr has built a career in modelling and dance choreography.

One Love Island star has already been dumped from the villa – before the show even airs. Maya Jama is back to host the hit ITV show, which returns to our screens this evening for a brand new series.
Love Island is back tonight but those tuning in this evening will see a cruel twist as one Islander is sent packing – just moments after arriving in the villa. It has been revealed that one girl will be sent packing this evening after the instant arrival of a bombshell.
Just yesterday, it was announced that Toni – a VIP waitress who works in one of Las Vegas’ fancy hotels – would be entering the villa. Asked what she was looking for, she said she needed “someone that can make me laugh – I’m super outgoing. And someone that’s quite active. Maybe one day we could start our own family together.
Maya is back to host the new series ( ITV)
“It’s time to try something new! I have some British friends and they’re pretty charming. I think all Americans love a good accent. British men are just more polite, with better manners.”
Now, her arrival will mean that one of the initial Love Island stars will be axed within hours of arriving. With filming already underway, the person has been sent packing from the villa – with it set to air this evening during the launch show.
“This girl will be sorely missed as was already proving to be a big character. The was absolutely gutted to leave. But the series has twists and turns at every stage and this isn’t the usual dumping viewers might expect after a bombshell arrives,” a source told The Sun.
“Executive producer Mike Spencer-Hayter has promised drama for the tenth anniversary and this format point will not disappoint.”
The show’s executive producer recently spoke to The Mirror about what fans can expect from the new series. Mike said: “If sex happens, we’ll show it. The Hideaway will be open 24 hours. We need to keep the show fresh and exciting. After 10 years, the stats speak for themselves. The show will continue to thrive. We the producers need to stay ahead of the curve. The whole ‘twists and turns’ thing is about making the show fresh. We’re going to give it all we’ve got.”
Host Maya Jama added: “I feel like they forgot last year that you could come in the Hideaway at any time. We did tell them, but they kept forgetting!” as she teased what was coming up on the new series.

River Island shoppers are “obsessed” with a new beaded bag dubbed “the epitome of girlhood.” Customers have fallen in love with a glitzy bag, designed in the shape of a blueberry matcha drink.
The fun accessory wowed fashion fans when it went viral on social media. The Green Premium Blueberry Matcha Shoulder Bag was featured in a popular video shared by a shopper named Ellie, who posts on TikTok as @fenloninteriors_.
In her post, Ellie said: “Fellow matcha girlies, why is nobody discussing this bag? I fear this is the epitome of girlhood.” She added: “Could you imagine this with an all-white outfit on holiday? I’m obsessed.”
Ellie said the design reminded her of Blank Street’s drinks, referencing the popular coffee shop chain. She said: “As a matcha girlie, it’s giving Blank Street matcha. Like, I want that just on me permanently. Like, it’s stunning. It’s also giving that sort of Kate Spade vibe.”
The fashion lover added that she didn’t think the bag would be for everyone, but she counted herself as a fan. “I deffo need it for holiday,” she said.

“I feel like it’s going to be Marmite, you’re either gonna love it or hate it. I also love the beaded feature, you know, beaded bags are just so in right now. As a matcha girlie, I require this bag immediately.”
Elsewhere, @beccieday was just as impressed. In her video, the shopper said: “Obsessed with this beaded blueberry matcha bag in River Island,” and viewers had a similar reaction.
Replying to the videos, shoppers said they loved the new style. One fan wrote: “OH MY ACTUAL GOD.” Another said their friend “would LOVE” the design, and someone else told a fellow social media user: “I fear you need this.”
The Green Premium Blueberry Matcha Shoulder Bag is £50 at River Island. The product description says the beaded bag is from River Island’s premium collection and that it has a zip fastening and chain strap.

Some shoppers have taken to review website TrustPilot to share their thoughts on River Island. Someone wrote: “I paid £32 for a cross body bag, have had to had it replaced twice since I bought it less than 6 months ago as the stitching has come away. The store replaced it no problem but so disappointed with the quality.”
Another claimed: “Products arrived in good order but I paid for a specific delivery day and this was not honoured. What is the point of offering this service if it does not get adhered to. Emailed to complain about this and nothing was done about it. Very disappointing.”
Elsewhere, Kate Spade offers a selection of food-inspired accessories. For bag lovers, there’s a 3D Hamburger Crossbody on sale from £295 to £189. There’s also a Fast Food Burger Pendant for £99 from £170 and Fast Food Burger Studs for £49 from £80.
The son of Jewish football journalist Brian Glanville, who passed away last month, has said he won’t allow Gary Lineker “anywhere near” his father’s memorial service

The son of Brian Glanville has said that he won’t let Gary Lineker “anywhere near” his father’s memorial due to his contentious remarks about Israel. Glanville was a highly respected football journalist who died at 93 last month, becoming friends with Lineker during his early playing career at Leicester City.
The Glanvilles had contemplated inviting Lineker to give an address at St Bride’s Church on Fleet Street in London in memory of the veteran journalist, who was Jewish. However, plans for Lineker’s involvement were abandoned after he sparked controversy by reposting a video on anti-Zionism featuring an image of a rat, leading to his accelerated exit from the BBC.
Mark Glanville said: “I can’t have somebody coming to speak at my dad’s memorial service who, though not anti-Semitic, is someone who is giving ammunition to people who are anti-Semites. Once you share a picture of a rat which is associated with Nazis, you really are crossing a line.”
Nazi propaganda infamously used rat imagery to vilify Jews, and Mark noted that his father would not have approved of Lineker participating in the service despite respecting his talents on the pitch and as a presenter of Match Of The Day, reports the Daily Record.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, Mark shared how the Holocaust left a profound impression on his father, born in 1931, who also faced anti-Jewish bigotry while attending Charterhouse School in Surrey. He said: “Dad was passionate about Israel.
“He was a schoolboy during the Second World War but he was aware of what happened. He saw Israel, after all the utter horror, like so many Jews, as a country that was Jewish and where Jews could thrive as Jews and be safe.

“I do not think Lineker is anti-Semite. But he does single out almost exclusively Israel, as so many people do, with the type of criticism that gives no context of what happened on October 7 and what has triggered it all.

“As he is such a major public figure, he is lending a lot of fuel to people who have a very different agenda and who really don’t just hate Israel, but also detest Jews. I believe Lineker really cares about issues but I wish he would talk about what is going on in Syria, in Sudan and with women in Afghanistan.”
Reflecting on his father’s legacy, Mark added: “We felt that for a man of such stature, dad deserved a proper memorial service and my sister suggested inviting Gary Lineker to speak, saying that he had really loved dad’s work. But I said that while this was undoubtedly the case, loads of other people were admirers of dad’s work as well.
“I then said there was no way Lineker was coming anywhere near it. She was very understanding as I explained that in my view Lineker was an exceptionally talented footballer and that is where it should have stayed.”
At 64, Lineker was already due to step down from Match of the Day at the end of the season, though it was intended he would continue to cover the FA Cup and World Cup for the BBC. Despite his firm stance that he “would never consciously repost anything anti-Semitic”, his exit from the Corporation occurred last month after the row concerning the depiction of a rat.

He said: “However, I recognise the error and upset that I caused, and reiterate how sorry I am. Stepping back now feels like the responsible course of action.”

Miley Cyrus, who recently released her ninth album, candidly opened up about her drug use before going sober in 2020, and the shocking way she hid the costs from her accountant

Music and fashion icon Miley Cyrus has opened up on the shocking ways she managed to hide her drug use and spending from her personal accountant. The 32-year-old ‘Flowers’ singer candidly opened up about her drug use before going sober in 2020.
The singers ‘biggest cost’ in the past was reportedly drugs, which she covered up by claiming she was buying vintage clothes. Reflecting on the past, Miley said: “We called them vintage clothes and every time [my accountant] saw me, she’d be like, ‘Where’s that, $15,000 original John Lennon T-shirt that you bought?’ It’s like, ‘Oh, it’s upstairs.,” as reported in Blast.
Miley also revealed that the more ‘expensive items’ she bought, she would claim have been stored away for preservation, claiming that they are ‘really delicate’ and that she wants to ‘protect them’. Miley jokingly added: “So I bought a lot of vintage clothes that year”.

The former Disney star also spoke more seriously about her time and experience with drugs, and said she was ‘so glad’ that she ‘survived’ that time in her life.
Miley reportedly said: “I would definitely not encourage anyone else to go this hard. But the fact that I got through it. I’m very glad I got to do it.”

Miley has been candid about her past struggles with drug use and the journey that led her to sobriety. Having grown up in the spotlight due to her Disney Channel fame as Hannah Montana, Miley experienced an early and intense level of fame that she later said contributed to her experimentation with drugs and alcohol.

In a 2020 interview with Variety, Cyrus revealed she had decided to go sober after undergoing vocal cord surgery in late 2019. Initially, it was a health-related decision, but she soon found sobriety brought clarity.
Speaking about her sober challenges, she told Variety at the time: “It’s really hard because especially being young, there’s that stigma of “you’re no fun.” It’s like, “honey, you can call me a lot of things, but I know that I’m fun.”
The Wrecking Ball singer added: “The thing that I love about it is waking up 100%, 100% of the time. I don’t want to wake up feeling groggy. I want to wake up feeling ready.”
Miley has continued creating music and has just released her ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, on May 30, 2025. The new album features collaborations with artists such as Brittany Howard, Naomi Campbell, and Cyrus’s boyfriend Maxx Morando.

The lead single, End of the World, was released on April 3, and has been well received by fans and critics. The New York Times called it a “luxurious pop extravaganza,” while Atwood Magazine described it as “an anthem for the present moment with an exhilarating blend of hedonism, nostalgia, and defiance in the face of looming uncertainty.”
ITV has announced a brand new channel – just weeks after it also announced a string of cuts to its Daytime offerings. Just a few weeks ago, staff at the broadcaster were hit with news that there would be redundancies amid huge changes for ITV.
It has been a tough time for ITV’s Daytime hosts and crew – after it was revealed there would be huge changes both behind the scenes and on the shows. Lorraine Kelly’s self-titled programme will be cut by in half next year, to just half an hour a day and will only air 30 weeks of the year. Loose Women will keep its hour show – but again, it will be cut to just 30 out of 52 weeks a year.
Good Morning Britain will benefit, extending 30 mins to 9.30am each day – and will be produced by a different team than the other shows – Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women. Insiders have warned these changes could result in huge redundancies.

Kevin Lygo, Managing Director of ITV’s Media and Entertainment Division, announced the changes last month, where he had said the changes were necessary to “generate savings”.
He said: “Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust as well generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres. These changes also allow us to consolidate our news operations and expand our national, international and regional news output and to build upon our proud history of trusted journalism at a time when our viewers need accurate, unbiased news coverage more than ever.”
Sources have told The Mirror: “It’s not a case of viewers seeing less of their shows… it’s impossible to see how the high standards will remain the same. Some staff believe Loose Women and Lorraine in particular will enter a death spiral… it’s just so sad. Just a handful of people will be working on each of those two programmes which has huge ramifications for how they are going forward.
“If that’s the case, will Loose Women really still have a live audience…will there be the capacity for that? Everyone doubts it, not least because of the manpower needed to oversee it. Also, there is a huge amount of background work which goes into securing guests… in the new climate how does that continue with barely any staff?”
Quiz shows will air from 9am to 1am each day ( ITV)
Now, in what will no doubt be a kick in the teeth for those working on Daytime, ITV has announced the arrival of their brand new channel called ITV Quiz. The channel will broadcast episodes of Lingo, Tipping Point, Wheel of Fortune, Tenable, Deal or No Deal and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire from 9am to 1am every day.
In a surprise move, The Chase – one of ITV’s seemingly most popular quiz shows – is missing from the line-up of the programmes on offer on the new channel as well as its sister show Beat The Chasers and Lee Mack’s The 1% Club.
