Reform UK leader Nigel Farage and former model Jodie Marsh were all smiles as they took over the dance floor with fellow famous faces, and partied at Jodie’s fundraising bash

Politician Nigel Farage and media personality Jodie Marsh might seem like an unlikely duo on paper, but they were all smiles as they were snapped dancing together at a fundraiser for Jodie’s animal charity. The Reform UK leader appeared to be having the time of his life as he held hands with the former model and danced around the room.

Nigel joined in the party antics at Quendon Hall in Essex, wearing a blue velvet suit jacket paired with some black trousers. Jodie cut a smart figure in a velvet emerald green dress which trailed along the floor behind her.

Jodie hosted the event to raise funds for her Fripps Farm Animal Sanctuary which she started in 2020. It is reported that she funds the running of the centre out of her own money and the fundraising event was to generate some extra income to continue to sanctuary’s rescue projects.

Nigel Farage wasn’t the only famous face at the bash, as Spandau Ballet singer Tony Hadley was spotted at the event, as well as Eastenders favourite Jessie Wallace and Rod Stewart’s son Alastair.

The Sun reported that Oasis musician and singer Noel Gallagher donated one of his guitars and a few tickets to one of their upcoming gigs which accumulated a whopping £6000 for the charity.

The sanctuary’s Instagram page kept fans up to date with the party and even included a glimpse of Jodie shaving off another person’s hair in the name of charity. Jodie stated that she had the ‘best supporters’ on her Instagram and publicly thanked people for donating.

Jodie wrote on Instagram: “We did it !!!!!!! Thank you to everyone who donated for Nathan to shave his hair off!!!!!!!!! I did it live at our gala ball last night!! The Maximus Gala Ball. You are all amazing and the biggest thanks to Nathan for raising all that money for Fripps”.

Fripps Farm is described as a ‘loving home’ to unwanted animals on their official website. They also state that ‘all animals’ are welcome and that many have been saved from the ‘brink of heath’.

The website states: “Owned by former model and documentary maker Jodie Marsh, Fripps Farm is currently home to over 250 animals, many of which have been saved from slaughter.

“Jodie gives a loving home to animals that are either unwanted or in danger of being put to sleep/slaughtered.”

“With the correct nutrition, care and expertise Jodie has also brought sick or injured animals back from the brink of death. Followers of the farm can clearly see how loved the animals are and how special Jodie’s bond is with them. All animals welcome at Fripps Farm.”

Cher’s son, Elijah Blue Allman, has reportedly been rushed to the hospital after he was found unresponsive on Saturday morning. According to reports, the 48-year-old’s current condition is unknown, but he is receiving ‘the best care possible’ at a hospital in Joshua Tree, California.

According to TMZ, Elijah, who iconic singer Cher shares with the late Gregg Allman, is “very lucky to have survived.” An insider said Cher is focusing on “doing everything she can to get him the help he needs”. They said: “Just like any mother, Cher’s only concern right now is for her son’s well-being, and she’s doing everything she can to get him the help he needs.”

The Mirror have reached out to the representative of Cher for comment.

Elijah has a history of substance abuse, with Cher filing for a conservatorship to control his access to his money two years ago. The singer previously claimed he was “substantially unable to manage his own financial resources due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues.”

The son of Cher, who is one of six siblings, was part of a rock band called Deadsy for 28 years as the lead guitarist but he stepped away from the band in 2023.

According to court documents obtained by Page Six, he is currently going through a divorce from Marieangela King.

In September 2023, Marie King accused Cher of hiring men to kidnap Elijah from their New York hotel room in November 2022 when they were trying to “reconcile” their marriage on their wedding anniversary.

It was said the singer was concerned for his welfare at the time. In December 2023, Cher filed for a full conservatorship of her son.

The musician filed court papers to be in charge of her son’s estate as she stated she was worried for Elijah’s safety. She claimed that he was suffering from drug addiction and was “unable to manage his own financial resources.”

She also said she was concerned he would use all his money on drugs, citing in a petition to a Los Angeles court: “Due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues, Elijah is not currently able to manage his finances.”

Elijah previously opened up about his struggles with substance abuse. During a 2014 interview with Entertainment Tonight, he said: “I started with drugs around the same time that we all did, around eleven. I mean it’s just what you did, it’s just what everybody did,” adding that he started with weed and ecstasy.

“I [was] just looking to escape all the things in my past and, that’s when you turn to those kind of drugs, you know heroin and opiates,” he said. “[Heroin] kind of saved me … If I didn’t have that at that point, I don’t know what I would have done …You may jump off a bridge. If you can only just go through that time period and live through it and then get help.”

Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming has penned a heartfelt message to mark Father’s Day as she shared her pain. The Hollywood icon, 70, has taken a step away from acting and the spotlight following his frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and aphasia diagnosis.

In February 2023, his family made the heartbreaking announcement the Die Hard and Pulp Fiction actor had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, a rare form of the illness, at the age of 67. Prior to this, Bruce had been diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that causes speaking or the ability to understand language is impaired.

Since then he has lived out of the spotlight while he is cared for by his family, including wife of 16 years Emma, ex-wife Demi Moore and the three grown up daughters he shares with Demi – Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and 31-year-old Tallulah. He also has two younger daughters Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, with Emma.

To mark Father’s Day, Emma shared a touching message alongside a photo of Bruce cuddling one of their little girls. She penned: “Happy Father’s Day to all the dads living with disability or disease, showing up in the ways they can and to the children who show up for them.

“What Bruce teaches our girls goes far beyond words. Resilience, unconditional love, and the quiet strength in simply being present. This photo says so much. Love deepens. It adapts. It stays, even when everything else changes.”

Emma then shared her own feelings as she added: “But to be fair to myself, these symbolic days stir up a lot. I’m profoundly sad today. I wish, with every cell in my body, that things could be different for him and lighter for our family.

“As they say in our FTD community, “It is what it is.” And while that might sound dismissive, to me, it’s not. It grounds me. It helps me return to the acceptance of what is and not fight this every step of the way like I used to. Today, let’s celebrate the badass dads, those who are here, and those we carry with us. Onward.”

Just last week, Emma revealed how Bruce continued to act despite his diagnosis. In her upcoming book The Unexpected Journey, which is set to be released on September 9, Emma shares intimate details about the measures that were taken to keep Bruce in front of the camera while his cognitive abilities declined.

According to reports, some of the tactics directors used included shortening his dialogue and feeding him lines via an earpiece, which was discreetly operated by a close friend on set.

These behind-the-scenes accommodations allowed the Die Hard legend to complete roles in films like Assassin (2023) and the Detective Knight trilogy (2022–2023).

“I really wrote the book that I wish someone had handed me the day we got our diagnosis with no hope, no direction … not much. Today life looks different for me and our family because I was able to put support into place,” she said. “This isn’t a memoir, it’s a self-help guide for caregivers, written to hold space for our heartbreak and our healing.”

Soccer Aid 2025 fans were divided as they pointed out what happens every time One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has the ball. The singer joined a slew of famous faces on the pitch but the audience seemed to have their focus on the star as they screamed and cheered every single time he was passed the ball.

Fans noticed how much louder the stadium got when he had the ball and took to social media to share their divided opinions on the cheering. One fan said on X: “Take that 1D kid off people screaming for him is becoming annoying and making this match unwatchable,” while another person more kindly said: “I love the applause that so louder when Louis has the ball.”

“That constant screaming for Louis Tomlinson is already annoying af. I think a wave go around and that’s saying something,” one viewer commented.

The World XI team, which is coached by Peter Schmeichel, has a few big names with the likes of Noah Beck, Tony Bellew, Leonardo Bonucci, Tobi Brown, Martin Compston, Richard Gadd and more.

Bryan Habana, Dermot Kennedy, Harry Kewell, Kaylyn Kyle, Gorka Marquez, Nadia Nadim, Livi Sheldon, Carlos Tevez, Edwin van der Sar, Nemanja Vidic, Billy Wingrove and Big Zuu are also part of the World XI team.

This year’s game is held at Old Trafford after previously being held at Stamford Bridge. Soccer Aid was also held at Old Trafford between 2010-2018 as well as most recently in 2023.

However, other venues have also been used in the past such as Wembley, Stamford Bridge, City of Manchester Stadium and London Stadium.

Soccer Aid was first launched in 2006 by former Take That star Robbie Williams and Jonathan Wilkes. It initially took place every two years but is now an annual event.

Females were first allowed to play in the game in 2019 and it is the only mixed-sex match officially sanctioned by The Football Association. 2020 saw the event held behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Messy singer Lola Young struggled with technical difficulties while performing at the Summertime Ball 2025 on Sunday

Lola Young admitted she ‘doesn’t feel good’ after she struggled with a mishap while on stage at the Summertime Ball. The Messy singer was one of the many huge performers at this year’s event at Wembley Arena in London. When it was Lola’s turn to perform, there were technical difficulties as her ear piece stopped working.

She had to walk off the stage after two songs. The 24-year-old told the audience: “Sorry guys my ears are going in and out. Can I get some new ears?” She tried to continued without the earpiece but couldn’t keep in time with the band, so she eventually asked the crowd: “Sing along please.”

“It’s like they’re doing it on purpose,” Lola told her fans after a few attempts of performing without hearing anything from her earpiece. She soon walked off the stage in frustration.

Fans felt bad for Lola and rushed to social media to share their support for her as they asked Capital to do better. “I feel so bad for lola young, capital do better,” one user posted.

Another added: “Bring Lola Young back #messy #capitalsummertimeball #capital #CapitalFMsSummertimeBall #CapitalSTB #bringlolayoungbacknowpls.”

One wrote: “I feel so sorry for these artists because wtf are these technical difficulties today?! :// you’re at Wembley stadium and have had months to prepare for this ffs.”

“‘Whoa, Lola Young calling out sabotage on her live vocals at Summertime Ball? That’s some serious tea! Any details on what happened or who she’s pointing the finger at?” one fan said.

Earlier in the show, fans were shown a statement from organisers on the screens. It read: “We have had to pause the show temporarily. Please remain in the stadium. We hope to restart shortly. Thank you.”

Fans were quick to go on Twitter and share updates from the venue. One wrote: “Capitals summertime ball is going well #summertimeball,” whilst another added: “Whoops #Summertimeball.”

Capital Breakfast’s Jordan North said before the show: “We are absolutely buzzing to be back at Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard this year!”
