Cristiano Ronaldo and Mo Salah still at peak fitness as they show off six packs at 40 and 33

Cristiano Ronaldo uploaded a Father’s Day picture of him and his son with their ripped physiques and Liverpool star Mo Salah had no plans to cover up as he turned 33!

Cristiano Ronaldo Snr and Jnr flex some muscle

Ripped Cristiano Ronaldo and Mo Salah both continue to combat the years as they spent the weekend proving they are still at peak fitness by showing off their six packs.

Salah had the perfect answer to turning 33 on Sunday as the Liverpool star flexed his washboard abs as he celebrated his birthday on a family holiday. Ronaldo, 40, is also keeping age at bay, and it’s a case of like father like son as the legendary forward showed off his incredible physique with Cristiano Jr showing he’s a chip off the old block.

Ronaldo, who added yet another honour to his incredible CV after Portugal’s Nations League success this month, took some time out as he considers his future with the former Manchester United star – who wants to become the first player ever to score 1,000 professional goals – weighing up an offer to stay with Al-Nassr.

Aspiring footballer Cristiano Jr, who turns 15 next week, has already been capped by Portugal’s U-15 side, and wears the iconic number seven shirt, just like his superstar dad. The five-time Champions League winner wowed his 657million Instagram followers with the topless shot, standing next to his son.

Fans were quick to point out a surprising detail in Ronaldo’s new post as he posted a Father’s Day picture of him and his son. it was soon noticed that his toenails were panted black, which created a huge discussion thread. Posting a picture of his feet one person wrote: “Why is he painting his toenails?” Another person said: “Painted your toe nails goat??” And a third person added: “Tf is this @cristiano?”

Explaining the reason behind his choice of painting his nails black, one follower on the social media platform said: “Cristiano Ronaldo paints his toenails, particularly with black polish, for practical, health-related reasons, not for fashion.” They added: “The practice is inspired by combat sports athletes like MMA fighters who use it to protect their nails from cracking, splitting, or fungal infections.”

But it appears that new data might have convinced the Portuguese forward to carry on even longer. Ronaldo has had a long-running partnership with fitness watch manufacturers WHOOP. And part of the technology has revealed that his ‘biological age’ is over a decade younger than he actually is. Speaking on the WHOOP podcast, he said: “I can’t believe it’s so good. 28.9.”

And after learning that, Ronaldo joked that he could potentially prolong his career well into the 2030s. He added: “This means I’ll play football for another 10 years.” Ronaldo has already spoken about potentially stepping away from the pitch. While he confirmed that there wasn’t a specific plan, he did admit that it was something on the horizon.

He said: “I just want to enjoy. Plan for retirement… if it has to happen, in one or two years… I don’t know. I’m turning 40 soon… I really want to enjoy, as long as I feel motivated I keep going.

“The day I don’t feel motivated, I will retire. When I decide to leave the national team, I’ll do it spontaneously but thoughtfully. There won’t be any advance announcements. I don’t see myself managing a team; that’s not in my plans. My future lies in other areas outside of football, although time will tell what happens.”

Kate Middleton kicks off Wimbledon tennis whites trend with surprisingly affordable clutch bag

Ahead of this year’s Wimbledon, Kate Middleton has already been spotted in a chic head-to-toe white outfit that includes a surprisingly affordable white clutch bag

Every year without fail, the return of Wimbledon also sees a rise in head-to-toe white outfits inspired by the players’ on-court athleticwear. Whilst we may not be hitting the tennis court ourselves, we do love a niche fashion trend, especially one that’s as sophisticated and elegant as an all-white ensemble – and it seems even the Royal family isn’t immune to the power of the look.

Kate Middleton was spotted today at the Order of the Garter looking effortlessly elegant in a top-to-toe white outfit, which included a re-wear of her now sold out Self Portrait Pleated Woven Midi Dress . Princess Kate also accessorised with another piece she wears on repeat; her Strathberry Multrees Chain Wallet.

Although she’s been spotted on multiple occasions carrying the navy version of the clutch bag, for the Order of the Garter Princess Kate opted for the white version of the bag. Unlike many of her more pricey designer bags, the Strathberry bag is surprisingly affordable at £295, and whilst it’s still a little splurge, it’s also a fantastic investment that you can pair with plenty of outfits for all kinds of occasions.

The versatile Multrees Chain Wallet can be carried as both a clutch bag or as a cross body thanks to the detachable gold chain, with Kate seen carrying it both ways over the years. It fastens with a magnetic closure for added security, and has a surprisingly spacious interior despite its 11cm x 20.2cm size, with eight card slots and a zipped pocket to store your belongings.

The website also shows it being large enough to fit an iPhone 14 Plus, Airpods, lipstick and your keys inside – everything you need before attending an event. It’s made from 100% calf leather with a smooth finish, making it durable and timeless, and the gold hardware gives it an added sophisticated touch.

If you want to mirror Princess Kate’s look for an event you have coming up – we could absolutely see this ensemble working somewhere like Royal Ascot – then the Strathberry Multrees Chain Wallet is a great addition. Although her Self Portrait dress is sold out, we did manage to find some fantastic alternatives to complete the look.

Sticking to the same brand, this Self-Portrait Panelled Bouclé And Satin Tailored Maxi Dress is available for £460 and swaps Princess Kate’s pleated lace-trimmed skirt for a flowing satin design instead. If you loved the floaty, pleated look however, this Karen Millen Tailored Crepe Asymmetric Pleated Skirt Blazer Midaxi Dress is a great option.

Currently on sale with 60% off, it’s slashed from its usual price of £269 to £108 and has a draped pleated skirt with an asymmetrical midaxi hemline. The blazer also has an asymmetric design with a sharply tailored waist that creates a flattering silhouette not too dissimilar to Kate’s.

Fern Britton ‘sacked’ from TV show after giving brutal ‘rubbish’ feedback to producer

Former This Morning presenter Fern Britton has opened up about her brutal sacking from a TV show after she dubbed her research ‘rubbish’

Fern Britton said she was off the show ‘within a week’ of giving the feedback(Image: Mike Marsland/Getty Images for Good Housekeeping Live)

This Morning star Fern Britton has shed light on being axed from a programme, following her candid critique of a producer’s work.

In light of ITV slashing its daytime crew by half, out of a 440-strong force, Fern confessed that television is “not an easy industry”.

Chatting with the i newspaper’s 7 Days magazine, Fern recalled losing her role practically overnight after she challenged a certain producer’s approach. “I worked with a producer on a show years ago and she was giving me instructions that were utter nonsense,” Fern shared.

“I went, ‘This is rubbish. This isn’t any kind of research. This is all wrong.’ Within a week I was off that show.”

During her tenure at After Five in the mid-1990s, Fern welcomed her first child into the world. She bravely tackled her presenting duties while grappling with post-natal depression, and was ultimately dismissed after shedding tears during an emotional interview with a terminally ill cancer patient, reports the Manchester Evening News.

After the birth of her daughter Winnie, in 2001, Fern found herself co-hosting This Morning with John Leslie. She was bluntly advised to return to work almost immediately or risk losing her position.

Fern eventually left the show that she “loved,” reportedly after repeated clashes with John Leslie’s replacement Phillip Schofield.

Refuting claims that she left her TV programme due to salary disputes, she explained: “There was also a persistent rumour that I left because Phillip was being paid more than me and I always say to people ‘Why would I leave a show to go to nothing if I was worried about money?'”

While the precise reason for her departure remains unclear, in an interview with Ray D’Arcy, she hinted at an incident with co-host Phillip: “Something happened and I thought, ‘That’s it really’ and I walked away and resigned. I was treated pretty poorly, actually. And after a while I just thought, ‘Sod it’.”

Her experience on Strictly Come Dancing, at age 55, also brought its challenges, alleging mistreatment by her professional dance partner Artem Chigvintsev, who she claims “kicked and shoved” her.

“I remember once I burst into tears and sobbed that I wasn’t enjoying it. Artem’s response was, ‘You’re rubbish, that’s why you’re not enjoying it,’ so I picked myself up and ploughed on.”

She acknowledges the harsh realities of the television industry, especially for those behind the scenes: “It’s harder for the people behind [the cameras] because they’re having to deal with the budgets and with ‘upstairs’. Presenters, you’ve got to take it on the chin and you’re lucky to be there, really”.

While understanding the rationale behind major layoffs, Fern commented: “There are times when everything does need a reset. So maybe that’s it. Maybe they’re planning a reset.”

Now 67, Fern enjoys a tranquil life in Cornwall and has developed a successful second career as an acclaimed author. However, she hasn’t said goodbye to television entirely and is set to return with a new ITV series titled ‘Fern Britton: Inside the Vet’s’.

She elaborated on her upcoming project: “Every pet has their story and every owner has theirs, so I’m absolutely thrilled to be part of this new series for ITV. Animals have always been a huge love of mine and getting a behind-the-scenes look at the incredible work the veterinary team does every day has been a privilege.

The Shark LED mask has more than 400 reviews on Boots. Amazon has also price-matched Boots with the same reduction (£265). A Boots shopper credited it for its wrinkle-minimising abilities. They said: “I have been using the mask for two weeks on better ageing and can already see an improvement in my complexion.

“I feel my wrinkles have been plumped out, and my skin has a general glow. It is very easy to use.” They have one gripe, adding: “My only issue is that where the cooling eye pads sit under the eyes, the red light does not reach, and I, like most people, have under-eye lines which would benefit from red light.

“Also, I wish it had an attachment for the neck. Great product.”
