These final production releases will happen over the coming days. Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher

Oasis are going on tour this summer

Fans were over the moon over the possibility of getting additional tickets to the highly-anticipated shows. One user said: “Shut up I’m gonna cry.” However, many briefly thought brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher had another falling out when they first got a glimpse of the announcement.

“My heart stopped I thought they broke up again,” one said and another added: “Almost had a heart attack.” One concerned user posted: “Long message I got scared they had a falling out.”

The announcement of more tickets comes after fans were warned about potential scams as they searched the internet in hopes of finding tickets for the reunion shows.

Some fans claimed they were targeted by scammers as they try to find tickets for the gigs, which will take place in Manchester, London, Cardiff and Edinburgh across July, August and September.

One woman had said: “He said his only condition was that I sent him selfies from the gig, and he even sent me GIFs of the band with the catch line ‘All Your Dreams Are Made’. And I thought they were. I thought he can’t be. He was a lovely lad, I thought. We had calls and Facetimed, and he was so personable. I just feel so embarrassed and ashamed.”

Oasis fans have been warned to be selective about where they buy their tickets. Not all these offers are genuine, with many coming from unverified brands and individual scammers on social media so fans have been warned.

In a bid to combat scams and ticket touts, the band have teamed up with Twickets for fans to resell tickets at face value to other fans.

Liam and Noel will be back together on stage for the first time in years after a backstage bust-up between the Gallagher brothers at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris in 2009, which led to a big fallout.

Liam recently discussed reuniting with his brother after feuding for years. One fan asked on X/Twitter : “How does it feel singing songs with ur brother again? Like old times? (sic)” The musician then replied: “You know what it’s spiritual but I can’t help think about all those wasted years, what a waste of PRECIOUS time (sic).”

From Beijing To Rihanna’s Bag: How Labubu Dolls Became Global Fashion Sensation

Chinese toy company Pop Mart’s Labubu monster dolls have conquered the world, attracting enthusiastic crowds at international stores, and adorning the handbags of celebrities like Rihanna and Cher.

Pop Mart, based in Beijing, is a part of a growing trend of Chinese cultural exports reaching other countries, furry “cool” Chinese ambassadors even in regions with less favorable public opinion of Beijing.

Buyers don’t know the model they will receive, so Labubus, which typically sell for around $40, are limited editions and packaged in “blind boxes.”

Also available are Sanchez’s Whirlwind Romance and The Billionaire and The TV Anchor: Bezos.

At a Pop Mart store in London, where in-person sales of Labubus have been suspended over concerns that fans might become violent while searching for the toys, interior designer Lucy Shitova told AFP that the dolls are “a bit quirky, ugly, and very inclusive, so people can relate.”

“Everything is now viral thanks to social media,” he said. It’s cool, yes. It’s unique.

China’s highly censored film and music industry has struggled to draw in international audiences, and its neighboring East Asian nations South Korea and Japan are world-renowned for their high-end fashion, cinema, and pop songs. The country’s best-known clothing exporter is Shein, a fast-fashion website.

There aren’t many success stories of Chinese businesses operating under their own brands when confronted with the myths of subpar and subpar goods.

The University of Maryland’s Fan Yang told AFP, “It has been difficult for the world’s consumers to perceive China as a brand-creating nation.”

Pop Mart has reversed the trend, creating detailed YouTube videos on how to verify a doll’s authenticity and copycats that have been dubbed as “lafufus” on social media.

Over the past few years, Chinese handbag manufacturer Songmont, Shanghai-based Marchen, and designer womenswear label Shushu/Tong have also gained recognition abroad.

According to Yang, “It might just be a matter of time before even more Chinese brands become widely recognizable.”

TikTok effect

According to Allison Malmsten, an analyst at China-based Daxue Consulting, China is “undergoing a soft-power shift where its products and image are increasingly cool among young Westerners” thanks to viral exports like Labubu.

According to Malmsten, she argued that social media could help China’s reputation abroad, “similar to what Japan did with Pokemon and Nintendo in the 1980s and 1980s.”

The video app TikTok, which was created by China’s ByteDance, helped catapult Labubu’s ascent, becoming the first product to be sold under the Chinese brand internationally.

According to Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) member Joshua Kurlantzick, “TikTok probably played a role in changing consumers’ views about China.”

More than one billion people use TikTok, which is currently blocked in China, according to the company, who roughly make up nearly half of the country’s population.

With a proposed ban forcing American TikTok users to migrate to another Chinese app, Rednote, where they were welcomed as digital “refugees,” the app has come into the national security spotlight in the United States.

TikTok hosts over 1.7 million videos about Labubu, which serves as a source for Chinese social media memes and fashion trends.

Labubumania

Cultural exports can “improve the reputation of China as a country with businesses that can produce globally appealing goods or services,” according to CFR’s Kurlantzick.

He cited South Korea’s undeniable soft power, noting how much, if at all, this has an impact on images of China’s state or government.

The United States’ chaotic global image under the Trump presidency might help perceptions of China, according to Yang, a professor at the University of Maryland.

According to her, “the link that many people make between the apparent decline of US soft power and the potential rise in China’s global image may reflect how deeply ingested the two are in the minds of those whose lives are impacted by both at once,” she told AFP.

At the very least, Labubu’s charms give the impression that younger people are interested in China.

It resembles a virus, it is. Anelya Batalova, a mother-of-three from Kazakhstan and an exhibit at Pop Mart’s theme park in Beijing, told AFP: “Everyone just wants it.

In front of a gigantic Labubu statue, 11-year-old Qatari Maryam Hammadi posed for photos.

They adore Labubu in our country, she said.

Darkest Glastonbury moments ever from drug-fuelled gunman to tragic suicide

As festival-goers embark on the mighty road to Glastonbury 2025, campers have already started setting up for the five-day festival – but a dark side to the world-famous event lurks beneath the surface

With the first Glastonbury-goers descending on Somerset’s Worthy Farm today, another weekend of mesmerising chaos at the fabled festival is about to ensue. But underneath the hedonism and glitter lies a darker side to the world-renowned event.

Since its inaugural days in the 70s, the capacity has stretched from a humble 1,500, with 210,000 revellers now setting up camp at Glasto each year. But accommodating the population of a large town for almost a week has seen Glastonbury experience its share of tragedies and mishaps over the years.

While campers set up their home for the next five nights, world-famous acts prepare for some of their biggest gigs, including headliners The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo. Worthy Farm’s rigorous security and welfare operations have ramped up in recent years.

The organisers now have thorough bag-checks, a 7.8km four metre high fence, watchtowers to prevent fence-jumpers and overcrowding, and even the ‘Glastonbury Jail’, to house anyone caught breaking the rules. But they can only do so much – from bodies in tents and drug overdoses to a harrowing self-immolation, the Mirror looks back at some of the most devastating incidents of the famous festival.

Horror shooting spree

The 1994 Glastonbury line-up saw The Levellers and Rage Against The Machine headline, but away from the stages, a terrifying incident unfolded. On the Saturday night, a gunman started firing indiscriminately into the unsuspecting crowd.

Five people with shot, and at around 10pm, police were called as the emergency situation evolved. The man was discovered to be wielding an automatic pistol, and began to shoot fans who had innocently attended the festival to enjoy the music.

Two women and three men all sustained gunshot wounds before being rushed to hospital for treatment. Thankfully, the victims, aged between 18 and 44 only suffered minor injuries and recovered fully.

Multiple deaths

Over the years, multiple bodies have been recovered at the festival, with the most recent deaths being discovered in 2023. One was a a medical incident in which a man in his 40s was found fead on the old railway line.

The body was that of radio DJ Jason Winder, 48, who died in the early hours of Sunday at the 2023 festival. Avon & Somerset Police said he’d suffered a ‘medical incident’ on the old railway line footpath shortly before 4am and died at the scene.

His death was not treated as suspicious. The same year, a security guard was found in his tent, having died from pneumonia. He had not worked in the 24 hours before his death.

With measles cases currently rising in the South West, Dr Alasdair Wood, consultant in Health Protection at UKHSA South West, told ITV News that those attending the festival should be mindful of illness.

He said: “We want festival-goers to enjoy their time at Glastonbury and other festivals this year. Being aware of the current health risks will help those attending enjoy their time, as much as possible.

“Measles is circulating across the country, and festivals are the perfect place for measles to spread. f you’re not fully vaccinated against measles, mumps and rubella, please contact your GP to see if you can get an appointment before coming to the festival.”

Meanwhile, in 2014, a 67-year-old woman died of natural causes at the festival, while a 26-year-old man was suspected to have had a fatal reaction to the drug ketamine. The first drug-related death at Glastonbury was recorded in 1994, when a 23-year-old man died.

Michael Eavis, who founded the arts festival, said at the time: “In daylight we would have been more alert. We’ve had people overdose before, but we sorted them out.”

MP found dead in toilet cubicle

Christopher Shale, a senior Conservative, was discovered dead in a toilet at Glastonbury on the Sunday morning of the 2011 event. An aide and friend of David Cameron, Shale, 56, was found hours after describing the Tories as “graceless, voracious, crass, always on the take” in a leaked strategy document.

Despite the unfortunate timing, an inquest found that the MP, who had no drink or drugs in his system, died from natural causes. Pathologist Dr Basil Purdue told the inquest at Wells town hall that the asthmatic’s weight had put “an excessive workload” on his heart.

Tragic suicide

In 2016, a heartbreaking incident saw a 27-year-old Bristol juggler, who taught young children circus skills, kill himself in a devastating incident. Ashton Launcherley, who was diagnosed with schizo-affective disorder, set fire to himself on the Glastonbury site, the Monday before the festival was due to start.

The inquest heard how Launcherley, who had been detained in mental health hospitals and previously sectioned, had been plagued by voices who spoke in strange accents. He was found crouching in the lotus position in a ditch, doused himself in petrol and deliberately set himself on fire.

He had previously bought a bottle of bleach and told his family he intended to drink it, Bristol Live reported. In the months leading up to his death, he had expressed his fear of the voices he heard.

Ashton told his mother: “I have to kill myself because of the voices. I’m fed up of hearing them.”

Her statement said: “I told him the voices would get worse after he died, that he would have to follow his family around and would not be able to say sorry.” In response, Ashton is said to have replied: “We are all dead. They are killing my family. They are killing all of us.”

Ashton suffered 95 per cent burns, and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham. He had multiple-organ failure and died a short while later.

Senior Somerset Coroner Tony Williams, sitting at Taunton, recorded a conclusion of suicide and the cause of death as burns and multiple organ failure. He said he was satisfied “beyond reasonable doubt” that Ashton had intended to end his own life.

Ticking time-bomb

A whistleblower has warned more deaths are to come, after the senior manager slammed the festival for their approach to security. Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, the ex-manager said: “Worst-case scenario, people are going to die, I think we are going to have some massive issues this year.

“How has it [Glastonbury] survived this long without a major disaster? It’s got to be a mixture of luck and a mixture of good will, the jewel in the UK’s crown is actually something of a ticking time-bomb.”

Make-up artist, Laura Ann Mele, has been trusted with Lauren’s look since at least November 2023, when the former newsreader first appeared on Laura’s Instagram page.

The New Yorker chose natural makeup with a seductive shimmer for the Women of the Year awards from Glamour at the time.

Laura, who arrived in Venice on June 24, has worked with Lauren several times, including for her 53rd birthday party, multiple award ceremonies, and the bride-to-be’s debut Met Gala appearance in 2024.

Most recently, she did Lauren’s makeup for her much-criticised trip to space on Jeff’s Blue Origin rocket. Joined by Katy Perry, Lauren skipped onto the rocket in a skin-tight blue jumpsuit, but was slammed by many for a ‘monumental waste of money’.

Sophie Rose, a stylist, is the hairstylist.

Hairstylist Sophie Rose is a long-time member of Lauren’s glam squad. Given how frequently she has collaborated with Lauren, the Californian’s name was reported on the wedding guest list.

Lauren frequently appears on Sophie’s Instagram account, including when the famous hairdresser posted a photo of her client’s “bridal” look at the Vanity Fair’s Oscars party with Jeff in March.

British actor Buster Knight as makeup artist

British makeup artist Buster Knight is also arriving for the big day. The London-based creative earlier this morning, before the leaked spreadsheet confirmed Buster’s arrival in Italy around lunchtime, shared his flight information with Instagram from the UK.

Buster has been in charge of several of Lauren’s looks, including one at the July 2012 Dolce &amp, Gabbana Alta Moda show in Sardinia.

The name Samuel Horowitz, an executive at Dolce and Gabanna, suggests that Lauren might be wearing a wedding dress created by the Italian duo.

She has been seen carrying large bags, possibly after a dress fitting, at the D&amp, G flagship store in Milan in March.

Nikko, 24, Lauren’s son, also modeled for the fashion house last year.

Mindy L’amour, a drag queen tailor,

Drag queen tailor Mindy L’amour is one of the list’s most jaw-dropping names, according to reports. The Californian stylist has dressed a number of celebrities, including drag queens, in corsets, and is a master at it.

Lauren has worn a corset to a number of high-profile occasions, including US President Trump’s January inauguration.

M&S’ £50 suede boat shoes look just like Rochelle Humes’ £700 Miu Miu pair

Boat shoes are the best alternative to sandals for summer, and Marks and Spencer has dropped the perfect £50 suede pair that rival Miu Miu ones loved by Rochelle Humes

Rochelle has shared her go-to shoes for summer(Image: Rochelle Humes/Instagram)

Although summer is obviously the perfect time to dust off your sandals and bare your toes in the sunshine, sometimes the occasion calls for something a little bit different. And this season, it’s all about the boat shoes.

They’re dressier than a pair of trainers, but just as comfortable and breezy as a pair of sandals, which is why it’s no surprise that celebs like Rochelle Humes have been showing off how they’re styling them this summer. Rochelle was spotted in a pair of £730 Miu Miu Faded Suede Loafers on Instagram, but we managed to find a fantastic affordable option, with Marks & Spencer’s Suede Flat Boat Shoes retailing at £49.50.

The M&S pair feature similar design details to Rochelle’s luxury pair, with a rounded toe and a lace up front, not to mention the lacing detail down the sides too which gives them that classic boat shoe look. Despite their affordable price, the M&S shoes are also made from 100% real leather, with a soft, smooth suede finish.

This means they’re lightweight to wear and will flex with your feet as they move, keeping them comfortable all day. Real leather is also durable and long lasting, so the Suede Flat Boat Shoes should last you a lifetime.

A flat sole keeps them casual and easy to wear, and you could just as easily style them for the office with a midi dress and blazer as you could for running errands in a pair of linen shorts and a T-shirt. Rochelle opted to style hers with some on-trend denim bermuda shorts and an oversized rugby top, leaning into the casual preppy vibe.

Although M&S’ pair come in a light taupe colour, we did spot some other colour options over at Dune, with its Gala Suede Boat Shoes , which are currently on sale down from £99 to £49. They come in both tan and white suede, as well as a dark brown smooth leather finish, giving you plenty of options to suit your style.

We also found a great pair at Next, with the £46 Tan Brown Forever Comfort Leather Round Toe Boat Shoes available in both standard and extra wide fits. You can also pick them up in either tan or black suede, with the style also closely resembling Rochelle’s Miu Miu pair.

However the Marks and Spencer Suede Flat Boat Shoes have been getting rave reviews from shoppers, with one saying: “Super comfortable and easy to throw on on a summer’s day or dress up for work.”

Another agreed: “Really comfortable and stylish loafers. I’m really pleased I bought them. Go great with my ankle grazers.”

Whilst a third wrote: “Just love these shoes, it’s like wearing slippers! So comfortable! Would definitely recommend.”

In fact the Suede Flat Boat Shoes have received exclusively five star reviews, meaning they’re definitely a big hit. You can pick up your pair for £49.50 now.

Glastonbury travel chaos as thousands in queue desperate to bag perfect tent spot

The gates to Glastonbury have opened for a weekend of live music, and thousands of festivalgoers are gearing up for the weekend antics.

The Glastonbury fun has already started as hundreds of thousands of festival goers have already arrived at the Somerset festival to bag their place when gates open at 8am.

Worthy Farm in Pilton will once again welcome thousands of music fans for a weekend of live music from artists including Olivia Rodrigo, Neil Young, Charli XCX and Rod Stewart.

Festivalgoers are beginning the festivities early on Wednesday morning (June 25) when gates open at 8am as a result of their early appearances in the crowd-crowd. Thousands of festivalgoers have waited through the night with their tent trolleys in search of the ideal spot.

Traffic is starting to build up around the site as people attempt to travel to the festival. Side roads close to the A361 and A37 are closed throughout the festival, making the A361 that passes through Pilton busier.

Fans can be seen holding bucket hats, rollers in their hair, and of course cans in their hands as they prepare for the festival. Fans of Britain’s biggest festival are in high spirits despite the gloomy weather.

Festival goers will be relieved to learn that Worthy Farm in Somerset has experienced a wet weather U-turn and that there is now sunshine forecast for the area.

The Met Office has stated that it will “set to warm up” again following this morning’s gloomy weather, though festivalgoers may need to get their wellies out tomorrow.

However, Brat Summer will be performed at Glasto on Saturday by Brat singer Charli XCX.

Charli – full name Charlotte Emma Aitchison – has been a regular face at music festivals across the world for over a decade. She’s been enjoying huge mainstream success since her sixth studio album last year introduced her to new fans – who are sure to be taking part in the viral Apple Dance.

Things seem calm for now, although those who try to ‘jump the fence’ to avoid the queues and try to gain access without a ticket will face a special ‘jail’ on site. Not only that, it’s there for anyone breaking the rules on site.

Over the years, security has significantly increased, according to reports that the Royal Family’s offer is more expensive.

After thousands of people allegedly snuck into the festival last year with fake wristbands and or by vaulting the fences, security is said to have been increased even further this year.

Some stages were forced to close in 2025 as a result of overcrowding, with some festivalgoers calling it the busiest Glasto ever.

Before being evacuated from the site or when police are called, the “Glastonbury Jail” serves as the official holding area. Although it’s not technically a jail, according to The Times, it’s still frequently referred to as one.

The festival will begin tonight at 10pm with a theatre and circus performance set in the Pyramid Arena for those who follow the rules.
