‘We spent two hours at Countryfile star Adam Henson’s farm and were left surprised’

A day out at Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park left two YouTubers stunned and they soon shared their thoughts on the £11.95-a -day Gloucestershire family attraction

Adam Henson came close to losing his family farm in 2001 when the Foot and Mouth epidemic virtually destroyed his business. But the offer of a job on the BBC’s Countryfile helped save his bacon and, 25 years later, Cotswold Farm Park is a thriving business again.

It welcomes the public for up-close and personal encounters with the livestock as well as rearing the range of rare breeds that Adam’s father became famous for. However, not everyone’s happy, with one TripAdvisor reviewer complaining that she’s been “fleeced at every possible opportunity”.

So Izzy and Matt Stockwell from the Explore Home Repeat YouTube channel set out to discover whether Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park is a ripoff, or a great family day out.

In the end, Matt says, he was left “surprised” by some visitors’ negative reactions, saying that perhaps people had arrived with some serious misconceptions.

Matt and Izzy had timed their two-hour visit to coincide with lambing season – from February to May with a peak around March or April.

Reviewing the site map just inside the farm’s entrance, Matt said: “There’s loads of stuff around – you’ve got Tractor School, the Discovery Barn, an Animal Barn, and a huge great big area for all the animals.

“I can see donkeys, sheep, goats, pigs, cows and there looks to be a good selection of kids’ playgrounds as well so there’s tons to explore.”

The couple – along with baby Sienna – were lucky enough to see two brand new baby lambs which had been born only that morning.

The farm’s attractions are geared very much towards young primary-school age children, with giant trampoline-like “bouncy pillows” to play on as well as dozens of farm animals for the kids to feed and stroke.

There’s an educational element to the activities too, Matt points out, with “loads of information sort of going through the whole process of lambing – explaining the different stages and how they keep them in these pens”.

While the Stockwell family did manage to see the twin baby lambs, little Sienna was much more impressed with the pygmy goats in the Discovery Barn.

There’s a lot to do for young animal-lovers. “They’ve got areas where you can stroke the animals and there’s a giant rabbit here you can just sit there and stroke,” Matt said. “He seems very chilled out about being stroked because he’s just fast asleep.”

While some visitors have complained that prices in the farm’s cafeteria are a little on the high side, with a cup of juice costing £3, Matt pointed out that there’s provision to sit at tables and enjoy a home-made picnic too.

How did Liam Payne die? All unanswered questions one year after One Direction star’s fatal fall

One year on from Liam Payne’s tragic death in Argentina, his family are still waiting to learn the full circumstances of the events that led to the One Direction star’s fall from a balcony

One year ago today the world was rocked by the news that former One Direction star Liam Payne had fallen to his death from a hotel balcony.

However, despite a year having passed, investigators are still attempting to piece together Payne’s final hours in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he was alone after his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, 26, flew home.

Charges have been brought against a hotel employee and a waiter, but there are many unanswered questions and the star’s family still face an agonising wait to learn the full circumstances of the days and hours leading up to his untimely death.

What we know so far

Payne died aged 31 after falling from the third floor of the Casa Sur Palmero Hotel around 5pm local time on 16 October 2024, with his funeral held in Amersham, Bucks, the following month.

The singer’s medical cause of death was ruled by a UK inquest to be polytrauma – when a person has multiple injuries to the body. However, a toxicology report also found traces of cocaine, alcohol and prescription antidepressants in his system.

Shortly after his death, Payne’s friend Rogelio ‘Roger” Nores, hotel operator Gilda Martin and receptionist Esteban Grassi faced manslaughter charges, but these were dropped.

However, charges brought against hotel employee Ezequiel Pereyra and waiter Braian Paiz, who have been charged with supplying cocaine to Payne, have not. Both men deny the charges but have been in police custody since January.

Case’s ongoing mysteries

A trial date has not yet been set for Pereyra and Paiz, as the authorities in Argentina are still working through 800 hours of footage from CCTV, mobile phones and laptops, meaning neither have had their say on their interactions with Liam in court.

The pair were formally accused in June, with prosecutors alleging they supplied Payne with drugs at least twice in the fortnight before his death. CCTV footage is said to show Payne asking Pereyra for “seven grams more” during a brief lift exchange at the hotel on the day he died.

In Argentina, the prosecution must set evidence before a judge, who will decide if a trial goes ahead or if charges will be dropped. A source told The Sun: “Police are still looking through Liam’s laptop and the mobile phones of people connected to the inquiry.

“It’s very frustrating as the likelihood of a trial still seems a long way off, and there is a sense that the police investigation is too slow.” According to the paper, one of the suspect’s phones was used to contact Payne in the days leading up to his death, but was not searched until May, despite being taken into evidence in November.

If found guilty, Pereyra and Paiz could spend up to 15 years in prison. Paiz has admitted to providing Payne with cocaine, but denies taking money, which is what he has been charged with.

How are his family marking the anniversary?

Ahead of the anniversary, Payne’s family raised £250,000 in his honour to support children battling cancer at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

They started raising the money shortly after his death by encouraging mourning fans to donate to the hospital instead of sending flowers. In the order of service for his funeral, it was revealed that the money would go towards a new centre as part of Payne’s legacy.

The order of service read: “Your donation today will continue Liam’s legacy by helping to build a brand new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital. This incredible new building will help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer.”

A spokesperson for the children’s hospital said they were “touched” by everyone’s generosity. “We’re so touched by the generosity shown towards GOSH in Liam’s memory. Every donation is helping us take another step towards a world-leading children’s cancer centre.

“It’s a place of hope which will help build the future of children’s cancer care and save more lives. It’s a lasting legacy that will make a difference for generations.”

Britney Spears slams ex Kevin Federline’s ‘constant gaslighting’ after bombshell claims

Iconic pop singer Britney Spears hit out at her ex-husband Kevin Federline after he made bombshell claims in his memoir, You Thought You Knew

Britney Spears hit out at her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s ‘constant gaslighting’ after he made bombshell claims about her in his new book. In K-Fed’s upcoming book, You Thought You Knew, he claimed the Born To Make You Happy singer used to stand over their sleeping sons while holding a knife.

Kevin – who divorced the Toxic singer in 2007 following three years of marriage – has claimed that on multiple occasions their sons Sean Preston, 20, and 19-year-old Jayden James would wake up to discover their mum watching them. He said she would then leave the room without any explanation.

A year after their divorce, the former backing dancer was granted full custody of the boys in the wake of Britney ‘s mental health battles.

In a new post shared on her Instagram page, Britney responded to Kevin’s ‘constant gaslighting’ as she told fans she “always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my with my boys”.

She wrote over a white background: “The constant gaslighting from ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting. I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys. Relationships with teenage boys is complex.

“I have felt demoralized by this situation and have always asked and almost begged for them to be a part of my life. Sadly, they have always witnessed the lack of respect shown by own father for me.

“They need to take responsibility for themselves. With one son only seeing me for 45 min in the past 5 years and the other with only 4 visits in the past 5 years. I have pride too. From now on I will let them know when I am available.

“Trust me, those white lies in that book, they are going straight to the bank and I am the only one who genuinely gets hurt here. I will always love them and if you really know me, you won’t pay attention to the tabloids of my mental health and drinking.

“I am actually a pretty intelligent woman who has been trying to live a sacred and private life the past 5 years. I speak on this because I have had enough and any real woman would do the same.”

In another section of the book shared with the New York Times, Kevin discussed his worry that “something bad” could happen to his troubled ex-wife.

He penned: “The truth is, this situation with Britney feels like it’s racing toward something irreversible.

“It’s become impossible to pretend everything’s OK. From where I sit, the clock is ticking, and we’re getting close to the 11th hour. Something bad is going to happen if things don’t change, and my biggest fear is that our sons will be left holding the pieces.”

A representative for Britney told us: “With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin. All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir [The Woman In Me].”

Where are Liam Payne’s accusers now as his family mark one year since his tragic death?

Two men accused of supplying Liam Payne with cocaine remain imprisoned in Argentina one year after his fatal balcony fall, as authorities continue to sift through hundreds of hours of evidence from the singer’s final days

One year after Liam Payne’s tragic death in Buenos Aires, two men accused of supplying the former One Direction singer with cocaine remain behind bars as Argentina’s complex investigation continues with no sign of a trial.

The 31-year-old British star died on October 16, 2024, after falling from a third-floor balcony at the Casa Sur Palermo Hotel, shortly after 5pm local time. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but Liam was pronounced dead at the hotel. A post-mortem later ruled the cause of death as “polytrauma”, meaning multiple traumatic injuries to the body.

Payne had been in Argentina for a short holiday with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, 26, as the couple attended Niall Horan’s concert in Buenos Aires before spending several days in the city. Kate returned to the US three days before his death, while Payne chose to extend his stay alone.

In the hours before he died, Payne was seen on hotel CCTV speaking to staff and visitors. Witnesses said he appeared “calm” but had been drinking. According to local reports, Payne hired two women to his room earlier that day and was later seen leaning over the balcony moments before falling.

Toxicology results later revealed traces of cocaine, alcohol and prescription antidepressants in his system at the time of his death.

Two men, waiter Braian Paiz, 25, and hotel employee Ezequiel Pereyra, 22, were arrested in connection with the case and later charged with selling cocaine to the singer in the days leading up to his death. Both men deny the charges but have been in custody since January. If they are convicted, they could face up to 15 years in prison.

The pair were formally accused in June, with prosecutors alleging they supplied Payne with drugs at least twice in the fortnight before his death. CCTV footage is said to show Payne asking Pereyra for “seven grams more” during a brief lift exchange at the hotel on the day he died.

Pereyra is being held in Marcos Paz Prison, a high-security facility outside Buenos Aires that houses several of Argentina’s most dangerous offenders, including convicted drug traffickers.

Meanwhile, Paiz remains in a city police cell but is expected to be transferred to federal custody before the trial begins.

Both men claim they are being scapegoated for the singer’s death last October. Speaking from his cell, Paiz said: “I’m just a working lad who crossed paths with a star. Today I’m paying for that coincidence with my freedom. I wish he hadn’t died and things were different.”

He has previously said he met Payne while working at a restaurant in Puerto Madero, where the pop star dined days before his death.

“He asked for my Instagram in front of his girlfriend,” Paiz told Gente magazine. “We spoke on a private account. There was intimacy, but not sexual intimacy.”

His lawyer, Juan Pablo Madeo Facente, maintains Paiz did not profit from giving drugs to Payne, saying: “He is totally convinced of his innocence. He should not be held responsible to this extent.”

Despite the pair being charged, the case remains stalled. Investigators are still reviewing 800 hours of CCTV footage, Payne’s laptop, and the mobile phones of several people linked to the case.

One suspect’s phone, reportedly used to message Payne before his death, was not searched until March despite being seized the previous November.

A legal source told The Sun: “The process is painfully slow. The likelihood of a trial seems a long way off, and there’s real frustration about how long it’s taking to complete the evidence review.”

Payne’s family, including his former partner Cheryl Tweedy, mother to their son Bear, 8, are being kept informed of developments and are said to be hopeful the two suspects will eventually face trial.

Davina McCall speaks out on career move after health ordeal ‘took control of her life’

Former Big Brother host and The Masked Singer panellist Davina McCall shared why now is the right time for her latest career move, an idea she first contemplated 20 years ago

Davina McCall has opened up about her latest career move, following a challenging year concerning her health. In November 2024, the presenter, who turns 58 today, announced that a colloid cyst had been discovered on her brain during a health check-up, related to her menopause advocacy work.

Thankfully, the benign tumour was detected early and successfully removed, and recent scans show no signs of recurrence.

During her health ordeal, Davina experienced short-term memory loss and expressed feelings of anger over the tumour “taking over her life”.

As she gradually got better over the months that followed, the presenter threw herself back into work which includes the release of her latest book, Birthing.

The book is aimed at supporting new mothers at every stage of pregnancy – a journey Davina knows well as a mother of three.

Sharing why she chose to focus on this subject later in life, The Masked Singer panellist shared: “So when I was actually birthing children, I really wanted to in some way help women then with their journey, because I found it such an extraordinarily weird day.

“I couldn’t write it then because I was Big Brother Davina and everyone was like, ‘Big Brother Davina writing about birth, well that’s weird’.

“But, after menopausing, everybody was like, ‘What would you like to write now?’ So, this is the book I’ve wanted to write for 20 years and I’ve been thinking about what it would be like, and in fact, menopausing was kind of birthing.”

Additionally, Davina said she has found joy in a whole new hobby.

“After I had my operation, music became really important to me, and I started having singing lessons every week,” she shared.

“The Masked Singer got me singing lessons and I thought, ‘I actually love this’, and after my operation, it helped me recover.

“I had singing lessons every week,” the newly engaged star added to Woman’s Weekly magazine.

While reflecting on her health ordeal last month, Davina issued a health update during her appearance on Loose Women.

Speaking to panellists, the presenter gleefully revealed that she was “feeling amazing,” though admitted she can’t “stop crying” due to the trauma.

She shared: “I think, it’s about a trauma. It was traumatic, the experience. I feel amazing now! I really do.

“I am so happy, I can’t believe I am here, with you, everything is a joy. Getting up in the morning, having a coffee. I’m still in the joys of it.

M&S brings back Bella Freud sell-out slogan knits– but they won’t be around for long

Run, don’t walk– Bella Freud is back with another M&S collaboration

Marks & Spencer is teaming up once again with one of Britain’s most sought-after designers, and this time, the collab is even bigger and better. The high-street favourite has announced its second range with London designer Bella Freud, launching online and in selected stores from today, Thursday 16th October 2025. Though looking at the offerings, we’re certain the range won’t be in stock for long!

After the sell-out success of last year’s debut, the new drop takes things up a notch, expanding from fashion into a full lifestyle collection that spans womenswear, lingerie, menswear, kids and homeware. It’s the perfect combination of M&S’ wearability and pricing, and Bella’s cult, tongue-in-cheek aesthetic.

Bella Freud, known for her iconic slogan knits (think 1970 and The Last Poets), has once again brought her unique quirk to this second collection. And with prices starting from £10 for accessories and going up to £300 for a coat, you’re getting her charm for a lot less than it would cost on her own website.

“This year’s collection is based on the idea of entertaining at home,” Bella says. “You want to be a bit dressed up and feel glamorous, but you also want to feel at ease.” The result? Pieces that feel both laid-back and luxe, or, as Bella puts it, “dressing down that’s dressed up.”

Bella’s latest line brings her signature word sweaters back to M&S, this time with a fresh set of phrases and a focus on luxury fabrics like 100% cashmere and wool with cashmere blends. The palette stays true to her roots: deep navy, black and cream, offset by autumnal brown and burgundy, with flashes of pink and green running through for contrast.

It’s a clever update of the pieces that made her a cult favourite on the British fashion scene: jumpers with personality that still slot seamlessly into everyday wardrobes. And considering her own jumpers retail for around £295, the fact that M&S is bringing her knit designs for £130 –better than half price– is a real treat.

For 2025, the range also expands beyond womenswear into menswear, lingerie, kidswear and home. The kids’ jumpers mirror the main collection, offering mini versions of the classic knits in sizes age 3–10– a smart move ahead of gifting season. Over in homeware, the designer’s playful sensibility comes through in ceramic nibble bowls, bold bedding sets and small details that add character to any room.

M&S is also keeping sizing inclusive, with the women’s range running from 6–24, knitwear in XS–XL and multiple leg lengths across trousers. The new silk shirts, pyjamas and tailored separates sit alongside the knits, rounding out a collection that feels grown-up but not boring.
