Nicole Kidman’s busy schedule has been a ‘healthy coping mechanism’ for the star following her split from husband of almost two decades, Keith Urban. The couple’s separation was revealed earlier this month, with the singer reportedly having moved out of their Nashville house.
According to insiders close to the pair, Nicole and Keith were not living together for most of the summer, despite celebrating their 19th wedding anniversary at the end of June. Nicole was said to have been fighting for the marriage, but Keith was “done” and his friends felt their divorce was “inevitable”.
It is rumoured he is already dating someone new. Despite the split, Nicole has kept busy with her recent Vogue interview and her appearance at Paris Fashion Week with daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith, 14.

She also has two shows coming out, Scarpetta and Margo’s Got Money Troubles, as well as the sequel to Practical Magic.
One relationship expert has said Nicole’s busy schedule has been a healthy way for the star to deal with the end of her marriage.
Relationship expert Susie Kim said of Nicole’s busy schedule: “I think it really helps to keep busy and reconnect with or keep engaged with all of the things that you love.”
Speaking to nine.com.au, the expert added: “Usually during the break-up, you’ve invested less time in some of the things that you’ve loved, or maybe you’ve lost contact with some of your friends.”
In a recent interview, Hollywood actress Nicole admitted she has always been a risk taker and confirmed she will learn from her ways after the pair’s split was confirmed after 19 years together.
Nicole said: “Taking a risk is what I’ve always done. You get back up and you try again and you learn.”
Speaking to Vogue, she went on: “Literally walk away from it because it will fell you. It will destroy you.”
Despite her words, Nicole made sure to steer clear of directly talking about her marriage breakdown. However, she stressed the importance of “ride-or-die friendships”.
A source had previously revealed the anxious feeling Nicole had had due to her separation from Keith.
A source told People the Aussie star had: “Been stressed [for months] because she knew the separation would eventually become public and she was dreading [the public’s response].”

The source went on: “She’s surprisingly level-headed and calm. Now that it’s out she’s just focused on what’s ahead and her girls.”

With Christmas fast approaching, parents looking to gift school staff a festive gift at the end of the Winter term should know that there’s one gift teachers like the least

Teachers say there’s one gift they don’t want to receive this Christmas(Image: Getty)
Schools across the UK will break up for Christmas sooner than you think, as we’re already drawing closer to the last half-term break before the festive season. But the holidays aren’t just time off for students; they give teachers a much-needed break.
Whilst it’s not compulsory, many parents opt to give their child’s teacher a small festive gift as a gesture of gratitude. However, selecting something appropriate for someone who isn’t a mate or relative can prove challenging.
From homemade cards and chocolates to candles and even Stanley Cups, teachers often find themselves heading home with a car boot crammed with presents.

Of course, an affordable and simple option that can be just as meaningful as a gift and personalised to be as unique as you’d like is a touching thank you card, but if you’re looking for suggestions of something more material to bestow before the festive period, we’ve listed six that are sure to be a hit.
Is there something you shouldn’t buy? According to our Editorial Director’s teacher sister, while they massively appreciate any gifts from their students and their families, there is one thing you may want to avoid gifting teachers – chocolate, because apparently they get given so much of it.
Meanwhile, The Mirror reported that one teacher has warned parents against getting certain gifts for school staff, as receiving the same present from 30 kids in the class can end up being quite repetitive.
Lucinda Chambers, a seasoned teacher with over 15 years of experience, shared her insights with Mamma Mia, suggesting that a simple thank you is often enough. But for those who wish to give something more, Lucinda offered some advice on what to avoid.
One thing she advises against is gifting mugs, as teachers tend to receive them far too often. Instead, she suggests considering a reusable drinks bottle or coffee cup as a thoughtful alternative.
Additionally, Lucinda warns that lotions and other skincare products aren’t typically favoured by teachers. She explained: “A beautifully scented hand cream or shower gel is a lovely thought, but what ‘smells good’ is highly personal, not to mention that some teachers may have highly sensitive skin.”

And finally, although it might seem like a classic gift, she concurs that many teachers prefer not to receive chocolate or sweets as presents. As surprising as that might sound, some teachers simply aren’t keen on these treats and some are gifted them so often they don’t get through them.
Some top recommendations for gifts include:
Reusable water bottles – e.g. Stanley Quencher or similar alternative
Scented candle – maybe lavender or other stress-relieving scents
Personalised stationary
Wine, beer or other favourite beverages
Festive hamper – M&S has a wide range of sweet and savoury hampers
Something homemade – from a handmade card or homemade treats

Emma has been enjoying the Italian sun(Image: / SWNS)
Harry Potter’s Emma Watson’s mystery man has finally been revealed as a millionaire tech tycoon.
The pair have been spotted together as they enjoy the Italian sunshine in Pisa as we enter autumn. Emma dressed in leggings with a jumper tied around her waist as she enjoyed a day out with her rumoured new partner to the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
The mystery man is said to be Camila Cabello’s ex-boyfriend who is known as Austin Kevitch. He certainly won’t be intimidated by Emma’s fortune has he quite the net worth himself. Austin works as a relationship guru as he is the CEO of the dating app Lox Club.

The Daily Mail reported that Emma’s trip with her new man comes soon after it was thought that she might announce that she was engaged to her long-term boyfriend Kieran Brown.
Meanwhile, Emma’s rumoured new beau Austin used to date Camila for eight months, with the pair being together in early 2023.
In a turn of events, Austin and Emma’s reported ex Kieran both went to the University of Cape Town in South Africa back in 2013, but it is not known if they were friends. Emma and Kieran are said to have split up earlier this year after she met him studying part time for a masters degree at Oxford University.
It is unknown if the new couple met through Austin’s dating app or not. Lox has a membership committee that carefully examines each application and limits the number of swipes a user can make to between six and 12 in each eight hour period so as to help people make “real connections”.
Just earlier this month, fans thought Emma could be engaged to her ex-boyfriend as she was seen wearing a vintage-style diamond ring on her wedding finger at Paris Fashion Week. She was first linked with Kieran a year ago when they were spotted kissing in Oxford.
This is where Emma is studying for her creative writing degree and he is an economics and literature lecturer. However, the actress spoke on The Jay Shetty Podcast where she confirmed she wasn’t engaged and added she would not be pressured into tying the knot as it’s seen as the conventional thing to do.
Speaking about the ring she said: “I did a ritual with, I guess just a day of celebrating with my friends and chosen family. They each bought me this ring, which has 22 petals on it, and each of them bought one.”

She added: “I’ve just never owned anything so valuable in my life because to me it represents the life that I’ve built, which was the one that I really wanted, which was one that was made up of community and my roots and faith and trust. I’m just so happy not to be divorced yet. That sounds like a really negative answer, but I think that we’re being pressured and forced into this thing that I believe is a miracle.”
Emma has been open about her feminist views over the years as well as her support of trans rights. She also mentioned in the interview that her public support for trans rights did not mean she had turned against Harry Potter author JK Rowling who has spoken out about trans people in the past.
The first housemate to get kicked out of the Big Brother house for his manipulative behaviour is living a life far away from what we saw on our screens 25 years ago

Now the iconic contestant is completely unrecognisable (Image: Channel 4)
As the UK gather around their screens to watch the latest series of Big Brother, we’re reminded of when it first launched 25 years ago and nobody could predict what would happen – not even one of the show’s first contestants – Nick Bateman.
In 2000, Bateman helped to put this new reality TV concept on the map as he quickly became a character people couldn’t stop talking about. Dubbed as ‘Nasty Nick’, he was seen manipulating his fellow housemates and influencing their nominations before the entire house confronted him.
After being the only contestant never to receive a single nomination for eviction, things were quick to turn around. His sneaky behaviour resulted in the show’s producers deciding to remove him from the house entirely, after 34 days in the competition.

Decades later, the 57-year old’s life couldn’t look more different to that of the London broker we first met in 2000. After gaining fame for being ‘nasty’ across the UK, Nick has changed his name and moved to the other side of the world. Living in Australia, Nick Bateman has since reverted back to his real name of Jack and leads a relatively quiet life.
While he may carry some regrets about his time on TV back in the day, he opened up to Heart Bingo about the decisions that led him to a life so far away from that of Nasty Nick. When asked if he carries any regrets about his time on the show, Nick told Heart Bingo said: “I’d do it all exactly the same because it brought me here to Australia, so I wouldn’t change that for the world.
“I think everything happens for a reason. I’m a great believer in pre-destination and in making decisions and then being responsible for that. So, yeah, I wouldn’t change it.”
Talking about the move, he said: “I first came here when I was younger and fell in love with the country, so I think it would have always happened.
“It’s one of those countries that’s so progressive, and you can start your life again at any age and reinvent yourself. People are just happy and smiling. There’s fresh air and better food and no animosity from other people.
“I’m happier here than I would be anywhere else. I won’t go back to England.” As for work, the ex-reality star now dabbles in a multitude of things, explaining that he works across marketing, sales, and promotions for companies.
After leaving the show, Nick found love in 2007 when he married a fashion magazine writer, Lynnette Peck, and in 2011 went into business with her. Three years later, they kickstarted Lovely’s Vintage Emporium but after the couple split Nick parted ways with the business that has since made waves in women’s fashion.
He had plenty of criticisms for the show as it airs today, in comparison to the original ‘social experiment’ he was a part of. He said: “It’s nearing the point where either the channel has to accept something isn’t working or they have to go back to the original producers.”
The 57-year-old suggested maybe instead they cast the show without telling applicants what it is, to avoid those simply looking for fame. “People are using the show as a vehicle for their social media careers,” he explained.
It was announced in October 2024 that former One Direction star Liam Payne had died after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina, a year later the world is still in shock

Liam’s sister has shared a tribute
Liam Payne’s sister has reportedly made a dig at Kate Cassidy a year after her brother’s death. The musician died in October 2024 after he fell from a balcony at a hotel in Argentina.
Kate was back in the US when her boyfriend died and has been open about her grieving process over the last year. However, she has also received a lot of backlash from fans who have disagreed with how she has been grieving.
Liam’s sister has now released a statement where she has spoken about how she and her family have been coping with Liam’s death over the last 12 months. Taking to social media, Ruth shared a four page tribute to Liam where she explained that the family haven’t been doing well.

She also mentioned “some” people want to “gain fame” from Liam’s death, with many thinking this could be a dig at his ex-girlfriend. Ruth said: “Everyone only seems interested in the public side of this, some sadly seems more interested in the fame they can gain off this, but on the human side people need to remember when they speak, there is a son without his dad, parents without their child and I am lost without my brother.
“Love always Liam, in every lifetime,” Ruth wrote at the end of the headline. Some fans on social media think that the fame comment was aimed at Kate, with one person saying: “The SHADE about people trying to gain fame over his death!!! love her.”
While a second wrote: “I love how she subtly clapped back at those gaining fame using Liam’s passing! But man her saying I hope to get the chance to be your sister in every lifetime, that shattered me.”
Kate has stayed active on her social media pages since Liam died, as well a being interviewed by multiple outlets.
Kate was interviewed by Lorraine Kelly on ITV in March 2025. It is unknown whether Kate was paid to do the appearance or not where she spoke about the programme’s March4March campaign which encourages viewers to walk outdoors for an extra 10,000 steps per week to help their mental health.
At the time, Kate said that she was still referring to her boyfriend in the present tense which helped with her “healing journey”. Speaking on the show, she said: “It’s hard for me to refer to him in the past tense, and when I do refer to him in the past tense it almost stings that little bit more because it just… it’s more official.
“I find myself talking about him so much in the present tense, and it’s something where I don’t even feel the need to correct myself, because that’s part of my healing journey that I’m still working on accepting the fact he’s not here any more. I never thought I would be talking about him in the past tense, so it’s definitely really hard to accept.”
Just a month before in February, Kate spoke out for the first time about Liam in an interview with The Sun. It was reported that she allegedly received a five-figure sum for the interview, but this has not been confirmed.
Kate approached the subject that she was not there when Liam had died as she had travelled back to their home in Florida. At the time, rumours emerged that the pair had a fall out, but Kate denied this and said she had actually gone home to look after their dog Nala.
She told The Sun: “I had a responsibility, we had a responsibility. We had our dog and obviously I never, ever thought this event would occur.
“It was a tragic accident and no, I never did think (he might die young). But, you know, we did have our own separate lives — this wasn’t the first time we have travelled separately. I just never thought this would have happened, that it would turn out the way it did.”
Similar to her other interviews, Kate spoke about her grief with podcast star Jay Shetty. It has not been disclosed how much the influencer was paid for the appearance.
She discussed how they first met when she was a waitress to New Jersey up to how she thought she would spend the rest of her life with the star. Kate opened up to Shetty about the moment she heard the news of Liam’s death.
She was in their shared home in Florida with their dog when she received a call from one of his friends. Kate had been there waiting for him to return home.
Kate has been making money through various brand deals on Instagram and monetised Snapchats. She revealed that she spent the lead-up to his one-year anniversary of his death on a brand trip to “keep her mind positive” and “busy”.
In a video shared on TikTok this week, Kate discussed her plans while getting ready for her day. She said: “I am getting ready to go on a trip. I’m obviously transparent and open about my life on social media. I have been for a while now. This week hasn’t been the easiest week and it’s not going to be the easiest week.
“I have so many mixed emotions and my grief comes in so many waves. No matter what I do, I get commentary so if I make this video, people are going to be like, ‘Of course she had to make this video’, but if I didn’t make this video and just went on a trip, people would be like ‘What is she doing? How is she not in bed crying?'”

She added: “Doing nothing for me and laying in bed and sitting around the house does absolute not good things for my head space. It reminds me of the really dark place I was in last year and I finally am starting to see the light again in life.”
Kate went on to reveal she received an offer to go on a “wholesome” brand trip for two nights, with the itinerary including brunch, pilates, and poolside hangouts. One of her close friends, who also lost her partner, would join her on the trip.

Kate is serving major autumn accessory inspo(Image: BBC)
The only disappointment we have with the Celebrity edition of The Traitors is that it only shows on our screens two nights a week, which hardly feels like enough to watch the drama and the fashion unfold. This week, Paloma Faith admitted to packing six suitcases full of looks she didn’t get the time to wear on the BBC show, while Tom Daly also revealed a giant Antler suitcase packed with some fabulous fits on his own Instagram.
So, when a fashion moment does pop up from one of the stars, you can be sure we’re taking note because who knows how many more our favourite players have to show? Last night, it was Kate Garraway’s turn to pull focus with an accessory that you can shop for under £10 (take note, Claudia!).
Kate was sporting what looks to be H&M’s Detailed Rib Knit Beanie in the red shade, £8.99. Complete with mini red bows, the hat looked incredibly pretty sat atop of Kate’s bronde tresses. However, it seems like the GMB presenter picked it up from H&M’s junior section, because the hat only comes in a 6-10 year size. A savvy shopping hack or just something she borrowed from her daughter? who knows, but we love the look on her.

Kate is bang on trend with her accessory choice, considering bows are having a huge moment as we near party season. Emblazoned on jumpers, dresses, shoes and hats, it’s a coquette trend that isn’t quite so sugary sweet, thanks to this season’s colour palette veering towards the deep, rich tones rather than pinks.

If you fancy getting involved in the bow trend for yourself, but you’re worried your head size is a little large for Kate’s hat pick, there are plenty of other styles to add to your baskets.
