Lorraine Kelly issues ‘horrid’ health update after hiding swelling under sunglasses

Lorraine Kelly had to wear sunglasses indoors after a nasty spill resulted in something “horrid” happening to her. While on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2, the beloved TV host congratulated Scott for securing the breakfast slot, taking over from Zoe Ball earlier this year.

After their chat, Scott addressed the “elephant in the room”, noting that Lorraine was sporting the “most showbiz pair” of sunglasses in the studio and hadn’t yet removed them.

He then asked her to explain her eyewear choice, suggesting she was channelling Donatella Versace vibes. Lorraine revealed that the cause was an oversized pair of slippers and a rhino.

She explained: “Well, I fell over. I fell over and had washing in my hands, as you do in a big washing basket,” to which Scott retorted that she wasn’t old enough to “have a fall”.

She went on: “There was a step and then I fell over the step in my slippers; they’re too big for me, and I landed on a rhino. We’ve got a massive big wooden rhino that we brought back from Africa.

“Have you not got a wooden rhino? I thought everybody had a wooden rhino, and the thing is, it’s made of real solid wood so I… and I couldn’t stop myself because my hands were full of washing. Do you want to see it? Are you sure? Because it’s horrid. “

Lorraine had a light-hearted moment with the Radio 2 host when she took off her specs to reveal an eye injury, prompting the DJ to call it a “cracker”.

She also mentioned that the swelling led people to believe she had fillers, though she made it clear she hadn’t.

In other Lorraine news, the ITV legend gave her opinion on the Duchess of Sussex’s new Netflix series With Love, Meghan, which kicked off on March 4. The docuseries follows Meghan interviewing famous faces while offering lifestyle and culinary tips.

Lorraine told Ross King on her show: “I was not offended in any way, but it was a wee bit dull. It’s just not my thing. I wouldn’t watch shows like that normally anyway. I saw the first episode, that was enough – fair play to her, she’s launching her business. “

Georgia Toffolo’s transitional knitted midi dress is now on sale and perfect for spring

Recently, Georgia Toffolo shocked fans by announcing her and fiance James Watt had secretly eloped and tied the knot in a private ceremony. Georgia, who’s more commonly known by her nickname Toff, and her new husband then quickly headed off on their honeymoon around the Scottish highlands, with Toff giving her Instagram followers a quick peek at her outfit before setting off.

Toff opted for Karen Millen’s Compact Wool Look Milano Knit Round Sleeve Midaxi Dress for the journey, and it was the perfect pick for the occasion. Just the right combination of comfy, cosy and chic, you can get your hands on Toff’s knitted midaxi dress on sale on the Karen Millen website now, where it’s been slashed by 35% from £129 to £83.85.

There’s even better news for bargain hunters too, because if you use the code EXTRA15 by the end of today (March 7) you’ll be able to snag an extra 15% off the dress. That means it’ll then cost you £71.28, a whopping £60 less than its original price.

The midi dress is made from a soft knitted fabric, and has a relaxed bodice and flared skirt that give you plenty of room to move and relax in. However the wide stretchy waistband panel helps create a flattering silhouette, preventing the dress from being too shapeless.

Its knitted fabric and high neckline are perfect for helping keep you warm in the cooler weather as we transition into spring, but it could just as easily be worn on those slightly warmer days with a lightweight jacket (or no jacket at all!). You can also effortlessly dress it up or down, with everything from loafers and a blazer for work to strappy heels and a clutch for evenings out or even trainers and a leather jacket during the day.

Toff opted to pair her Milano Knit Round Sleeve Midaxi Dress with a pair of chunky boots, a knitted headscarf and some sunglasses, making it the perfect outfit for this awkward in-between weather we’re currently having. Whilst Toff picked the sage green colourway, you can also pick up the dress in a cobalt blue shade, with sizes XS to large still available in both colours.

You can find a similar silhouette to Toff’s dress with the Love &amp, Roses Black Chevron Long Sleeve Knitted Midi Dress for £62 at Next. The black knitted dress has the same fit and flare shape, but features a pop of print with leopard print details on the waistband and the skirt’s chevron pleats at the bottom.

Meanwhile if something more figure hugging is what you’re after, H&amp, M’s Mixed-Knit Dress is down from £32.99 to £28.05 and has a fitted silhouette from top to bottom. It also comes in a similar khaki green shade that’s easy to style.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s ‘blood-letting move that’s impossible to repair’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made a string of bombshell moves since they dramatically quit their royal roles.

But their most explosive came on this day four years ago, when their eye-raising interview with Oprah Winfrey was first aired on TV. The highly anticipated interview saw the couple lift the lid on life behind Palace walls and make several shocking allegations about their family.

One of the biggest talking points that emerged was when they revealed a senior royal questioned the colour of their unborn son’s skin. Harry also confirmed his relationship with brother Prince William had turned sour and that his father King Charles, then Prince of Wales, had stopped taking his calls.

After a subsequent Netflix series, which also contained damning claims, and Harry’s memoir Spare, the Sussex appear to have turned their backs on launching attacks at the Royal Family.

But despite their new track, royal expert Jennie Bond believes that even four years on, the repercussions are still very much being felt. The former BBC royal correspondent told the Mirror: “The interview was the catalyst for what appears to be an irreversible rift between Harry and William, and a deeply scarred, almost non-existent relationship with his father. It was also a breach of trust that will be impossible to repair.

” The implied suggestion that certain members of the family were racist cut deep and will never be forgotten. The rift the interview caused probably does work against Harry and Meghan with some potential projects. If it comes to staying onside with either Harry or William, the future King, a lot of people are going to choose William, with all the kudos that kind of connection brings. “

But even though the interview is still causing huge ramifications, Jennie doesn’t believe that the Sussexes regret doing the chat. She added:” They had a lot to get off their chests and this was a spectacular blood-letting which probably felt good.

“I think, though, that Harry might have regretted the timing of the interview— with his grandfather lying gravely ill in hospital. Now Meghan is making her own way in her celebrity world, and Harry has a number of charitable projects. So I think they’re pretty OK”.

The anniversary of the Oprah chat comes a day after Meghan gave another TV interview – this time on daytime US TV, by appearing on the Drew Barrymore Show. During the chat, she told of her love of being able to “hold and touch and embrace” people after previously revealing her hugging had been ‘ jarring ‘ for the royal family.

Meghan appeared on the show to promote her lifestyle series and brand, and at one point during a baking segment, she was spotted moving a jar of her As Ever jam into the centre of the shot.

Meghan chatted about her “funniest, sweetest, most charming” husband, the Duke of Sussex and told Barrymore their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have “very American accents” but say the word ‘ zebra ‘ with a British pronunciation. She was introduced to the audience by Barrymore as ‘ Meghan Sussex ‘ after having corrected comedian Mindy Kaling during her Netflix show for referring to her surname as Markle.

Five fans ‘crying and cursing’ as they scramble to purchase reunion tour tickets

Five fans scrambled to purchase tickets for their upcoming reunion tour.

Abz Love, 45, Ritchie Neville, 45, Scott Robinson, 45, Sean Conlon, 43, and Jason ‘ J ‘ Brown, 48, were one of the biggest boybands in the UK before they split back in 2001. The group reunited in various forms times over the years, and had – until now – performing as a trio formed of Ritchie, Sean and Scott.

However, lovers of the band were excited when the original five of them announced they’re back together again for a new tour. The 12-date Five KEEP ON MOVIN ‘ 2025 Tour kicks off in Brighton on Friday October 31 2025, before they head to Bournemouth, Cardiff, Nottingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Newcastle, Aberdeen and Glasgow, as well as London’s The O2.

Tickets went on sale at 10am on Friday morning, meaning fans had to rush to ensure they purchased tickets to the show. One admitted there was a lot of crying involved when they bought tickets. They said on social media: “After a lot of tears and even more cursing we managed to get 2 tickets for London WITH soundcheck”.

Another was disappointed at how quickly the tickets sold out, writing: “Five?! What was that sale No tickets not even an odd one at any of the 3 dates I picked at 10: 04″, and one was angered at an error which appeared on Ticketmaster: “Well, I’ve been in the queue 3 times to buy tickets.. I got an error when processing each time, and now tickets are £140 minimum… sorry, but I’m not messing about like this just to see Five. Disappointed”.

“Has anyone actually managed to get @itsfiveofficial tickets this morning?! Think Ticketmaster has now crashed..”. one questioned fellow fans. Another hit out at ticket scalpers, posting: “@TicketmasterUK set of f**king w*nkers. First Oasis then Coldplay now fucking 5ive. How many of these tickets was bought by f**king ticket touts”.

One was surprised at the reasonably priced tickets and wrote: “Fair play to 5ive, selling our arenas with reasonably priced tickets, I was 400th in the queue and assumed no one wanted them, and the whole place is sold out on 2 nights. the demand for nostalgia at a reasonable price is clearly high”.

They will be supported on the tour by British DJ and producerNaughty Boy. The group announced the reunion news on social media last week, writing to fans: “It’s true, the five of us are reuniting for a tour across the UK! This has been a long time coming and it really does feel right for all of us now – 25 years on and we’re so ready for it.

” We really can’t wait to get back on stage together and see you all in person, it’s gonna go OFF!! Let’s goooooo! “

Prime Target star Leo Woodall opens up on ‘stressful’ scenes and shares true thoughts on co-star

Prime Target actor Leo Woodall opened up on having to film “stressful” scenes and shared feelings towards his Bridget Jones co-star.

During a recent chat on the Reign with Josh Smith podcast, Leo offered an insight into how his characters are often involved in quite “exposing” and “intimate” scenes, and he explained how he manages it. “It’s part of the gig”, he said. “I think I’m lucky to not have been part of a scene that was, I don’t know, gratuitously explicit”.

Meanwhile, he did acknowledge that it can be stressful, saying: “When you know you’re getting your kit off and however many people are going to see you naked or whatever, it’s stressful, man. I feel like you’ve got to have a sense of humour about it, as much as you can”.

However, while confessing that the idea of having so many people watching his explicit scenes can prove challenging, he added: “But, you know there are some days where I really don’t feel like doing it, and there are days where I feel a bit more casual about it. It’s just very mood dependent”.

Away from sharing how he deals with intimate scenes, the 28-year-old expressed his admiration for his Bridget Jones co-star Renée Zellweger and what she has achieved with her iconic character down the years. He said: “What Renee has done with that character across the span of 20 years, is really one in itself”.

After the latest film in the Bridget Jones franchise released in cinemas last month, he continued his glowing tribute to Renée: “There’s not something I think I can compare to it. I think she’s so wonderful. She’s made so many people, if not feel seen, but just feel cosy”.

In what has been a hugely successful career so far, Leo’s first major foray into acting came in 2021 when he appeared in the Apple Original film, Cherry, alongside the likes of Tom Holland. Since then his career has continued to reach new heights having starred in the hugely popular One Day on Netflix and Prime Target before playing Roxster McDuff in Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy.
