Jilly Cooper described as ‘one of the kindest women’ in emotional tribute

Dame Jilly Cooper, who was well-known for her “bonkbusters” like Riders, Rivals, and Polo, passed away on Sunday at her home, and tributes have been paid to the author.

Dame Jilly Cooper has been lauded as “truly one of the kindest women” today.

Poignant tributes continue to flood in for the 88-year-old author, known for her “bonkbusters” including Riders, Rivals and Polo, following her death on Sunday morning following a fall at her home. Some of the cast members of the hit Disney+ series Rivals, based on the book of the same name, have since shared posts in memory of the late writer.

But one of the latest respects today – from experienced tabloid journalist Sarah Vine – described the novelist as generous, humble and warm. Sarah, who was 16 when Riders was published in 1985, wrote: “She (Dame Jilly) was truly one of the kindest women I’ve ever known. The world is a far less fabulous place without her.”

Felix and Emily, Dame Jilly’s children, called their mother “the shining light in all of our lives,” in a statement released yesterday to confirm the tragic news. Her unanticipated passing has shocked everyone,” the statement continued. We are so proud of everything she has accomplished throughout her life, and we are unable to imagine life without her infectious joy and smile. “

Writing for the Daily Mail, Sarah described how Dame Jilly, born in Hornchurch, Essex, sent her a gold and amethyst brooch in the post, an anecdote Sarah used as her “‘generous’ Jilly story” following similar tales from other friends and acquaintance after news of the death emerged.

“Dame Jilly never wore her talent and success lightly, even when she might have had every right to be a diva,” said Sarah. She was always kind, understanding, and generous to the core. She had a gift for bringing warmth and love to everyone she encountered.

The passing fantasy of the ‘improper use of a hayloft’ in the company of a Rupert Campbell-Black-type made it all more bearable, according to her audience, which included the legions of wives and mothers burdened by responsibility. “

Mother-of-two Sarah, now a regular columnist, penned her tribute in a poignant piece following Dame Jilly’s passing, which rocked cast members of Rivals. Alex Hassell, who plays Rupert Campbell-Black in the show, posted a photo of the two together on his Instagram page, describing Dame Jilly as a “magical woman” who changed his life.

She was such a generous spirited person to be around, he said, aside from the great wealth of joy, comfort, and excitement her writing has provided to so many.

She portrayed her hero Rupert in a way that was so kind and encouraging to me. I’m so happy I saw her on the other day, and she reportedly said she was proud of me last time. Beautiful and thoughtful throughout.

When asked how Sharon is holding up his mother, Jack responded, “She’s okay but she’s not okay… She must feel the love, I am aware.

He shared a moving farewell concert in which he said, “I ran back into the dressing room and gave him a big hug.

I gave him a quick kiss. I simply said, “Crush it,” and I was right. You’re going to do it all right. I was crying as well. There was a crowd where I was with my brother, and we both were just crying.

“It wasn’t because I had feelings for him,” he continued. We weren’t sad for him, though. We were aware that this was the last time, in my opinion. If you consider it in context, it kind of seemed like a living wake. He had to bid goodbye to everyone.

Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Yungblud, and Anthrax were among the metal and rock stars who performed at the Villa Park concert, along with video messages from Dolly Parton, Ricky Gervais, and Jack Black.

The Prince of Darkness, a musician known as the Prince of Darkness, climbed onto his throne through a trap door in order to make his final entrance.

Taylor’s attorneys were adamant that she did not want this, despite the fact that both parties wanted to depose her. Fans initially rumored that Taylor and Blake no longer be friends as a result, but fans soon learned that the singer from Fate of Ophelia appears to be slapping Blake in the album’s cover art.

Taylor is seen sporting a bracelet that resembles Blake’s from the It Ends With Us premiere in London on one of the album’s covers.

Taylor Swift’s recent The Life of a Showgirl promo shots reveal her wearing the EXACT custom-made Lorraine Schwartz pink sapphire and diamond bracelet Blake Lively wore to the London It Ends With Us premiere last August, according to one fan. “Coincidence”

Blake deserves more praise than this. Taylor remarked in her song CANCELLED! how much she enjoys being friends with those who have experienced public outcry. “At least you are aware of who your friends are, because they have matching scars.”

Many people have attempted to sack Blake as a workplace “bully” due to her lawsuit with Justin. After an interview where the actress appeared to be so rude, it appeared that Kristen Flaa, the interviewer, “wanted to quit,” she was also called a “difficult to work with.

Taylor has also been criticized by many fans for not speaking out about issues in America like ICE raids and anti-trans rhetoric despite having previously cultivated a fan base on activist issues. She is now a billionaire, which has also caused controversy among some.

Taylor claims in the new song that she liked the cancellation of her and her pals. Good thing I like my friends who have been cheated out and are in trouble; I like my whiskey sour; and poison thorny flowers. Some believe that Blake, who owns a liquor business called Betty Booze, is a target of the “whiskey sour” line.

Nicole Kidman puts on brave face at Chanel show with daughters after Keith Urban split

Nicole Kidman, a close friend of Keith Urban’s and former partner of almost 20 years, had a spectacular view of the Chanel Spring/Summer 2026 show.

At the Paris Fashion Week show on Monday, Nicole Kidman received the support of her teenage daughters. At the bi-annual event, the Practical Magic icon, 58, posed a storm with 14-year-old Faith and 17-year-old Sunday Rose at the same location.

After Keith allegedly refused to work on their marriage, the actress filed for divorce on September 30. Nicole was said to be spending time with her family at home after her shocking divorce, which came after almost 20 years of marriage. According to court records, “irreconcilable differences” between her and Keith were cited.

Keith’s desire to end the marriage reportedly caused her to be “blindsided.” The soon-to-be exes already have a custody agreement in place, which was signed in early September, though.

The couple’s agreement stipulates that Nicole and her sister Faith Margaret will reside together for the majority of the year and that they will see their father on Father’s Day and Thanksgiving weekends.

Nicole now let go of the divorce drama by rocking up to the Chanel concert with her kids. The actress posed with her daughters by her side while wearing a plain white shirt and jeans.

Faith opted for a denim-themed outfit while Sunday donned a red sleeveless sweater and a blue denim jacket over a black minidress.
