After his arrival in a hospital earlier this week, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has reached out to her separated father, Thomas Markle.

After a blood clot caused Mr. Markle’s left leg to turn black, it needed to have amputated in a life-saving procedure. He was taken to a hospital in the Philippines after becoming ill.

After doctors determined that if his leg below the knee wasn’t removed, it could be fatal, he later underwent a three-hour emergency procedure to remove it.

The Duchess of Sussex’s spokesman said, “I can confirm that she has spoken to her father.”

According to legend, Meghan hasn’t seen her father since their relationship in 2018, before her wedding to Prince Harry. After Mr. Markle took pictures of the paparazzi before the ceremony, their relationship ended.

After his father underwent life-saving surgery this week, his son, Thomas Markle Jr., said: “I was told the leg had to be removed and it was a case of life or death. The next two or three days, according to one of his doctors, are crucial. His left leg has been cut off from the knee. They were concerned about sepsis or gangrene developing from infection. The flesh was dying and black.

There was no choice, they said. Either we had to remove the leg and operate now, or he might pass away. It was a dangerous circumstance.

Doctors are now closely monitoring Mr. Markle for any amputation-related complications and signs of infection. Because he is still receiving intensive medical care, his family has requested privacy.

The former Hollywood lighting director has had a difficult past. He was unable to travel from Los Angeles to Britain because of two heart attacks that occurred on the eve of Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in May 2018.

Later, Meghan was partially walked down the aisle by King Charles, the then Prince of Wales. In 2022, Mr. Markle suffered a stroke that rendered him unable to speak for several months. His health has continued to decline despite recovering some speech after receiving extensive therapy.

He has never met Prince Harry or his six-year-old granddaughters Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie. Since the royal wedding, he has been separated from his daughter.

His decision to pose for staged paparazzi photos before the ceremony caused the relationship to fall apart. After a heated phone conversation with Harry while Mr. Markle was recovering in a hospital, Meghan later cut him off.

According to reports, the duke allegedly informed him that the scandal stemmed from his refusal to speak to the press in response to the paparazzi scandal. Later, Mr. Markle expressed his deep regret for the exchange.

They treated me with disrespect. He said at the time that I was recovering from a heart attack, lying in bed, and making a phone call about what was being said that hurt me. When I was recovering from a heart attack in my hospital bed, I began to feel guilty for my errors. Mr. Markle has stated before that his only desire is to see my grandchildren before I pass away.

Fans are now however persuaded that Carla might regret crossing Becky. In fact, they’re making a theory known that Carla might leave the ITV soap after 19 years.

On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one user posted: “Hope it doesn’t backfire on Carla trying to take Becky on… Is Carla’s exit looming?” Another speculated: “I think Becky will kill her and then get sent to prison.”

A third chimed in, “Nooo, I couldn’t bear if they shot Carla off.”

The popular quiz show typically broadcasts on BBC Two from Monday to Friday at 6pm, but tonight’s episode was pushed back due to the World Cup Draw coverage.

One person expressed frustration on social media by saying, “Can’t believe I’m having to go without House of Games for this s***” when it became public that fans would have to wait until 7:30pm on Friday evening.

Another yelled, “Where is House of Games?” and said, “Never mind the football.” At six, a third chimed in, “I turned over to BBC2 to watch House of Games.” Very disappointed to see this garbage. Someone else yelled, “Pee’d off that House of Games will be an hour late.”

Just last week, Richard revealed that he would only agree to be on Celebrity Traitors if producers gave him the option to play a traitor rather than a faithful. Richard, who turns 55 on November 28th, revealed to The Chipping Forecast podcast that he had been approached about joining the BBC program that attracted viewers and saw the victory of one of the traitors, Alan Carr.

When asked if Richard could participate in the upcoming series, Richard responded, “I said to them, they did ask, and I said I could only do it as a traitor.”

Richard said his decision was motivated by concerns about how he would react when contestants attempt to identify each other’s roles during roundtable discussions, according to the Express.

Richard went on to say that if someone accused me of being a traitor and I am one of them, then I don’t mind, and I’ll fight for myself because that’s the only reason I could do it as a traitor, as he said. I would lose my mind if someone came up to me and said I was a traitor, even though I was faithful. Sincerely, I wouldn’t be able to deal with it in any way.

“I simply couldn’t because it would make me insane just by the injustice it caused.” They can’t guarantee that, so I don’t believe I could do it unless I could be a traitor.

Ant and Dec have sent fans into a frenzy after hinting that an I’m A Celeb star could be returning. And the news is all thanks to a single fan request on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The presenting duo were taking part in a light-hearted Q&A on the platform when a viewer tagged them in a post urging the pair to “bring Ruby back”. While the fan didn’t specify which series they meant, followers quickly assumed it was in reference to a popular former contestant whose appearance had become a fan favourite.

Instead of brushing off the suggestion, Ant and Dec stunned users by replying with a simple but loaded question: “Shall we just do it?” Within minutes, the exchange had racked up thousands of likes, with fans speculating wildly about what the comment could mean. She added: “Where did they get the nerve? Because all of us are jeopardised. I mean, why deodorant? You know what? We have no food and somebody cares about what their body smells like. It’s a s***hole. It’s a hole with s*** in it. Why would you care about the deodoriser?”

Ruby says she would never have seen it or otherwise she would have “ripped it out of her hand.” She added: “But of all things …..nothing necessary like a cleaning tablet. We wore these clothes for two weeks. I mean, I’m still itching. The underpants were never washed. Sorry to share. Mine were flipped over a couple times, and that was it.”

Ruby says the hardest thing she endured was hunger, and admits she barely ate as the food was so disgusting. She says: “I was starving….it was always appalling. A chicken with web feet on it that was black.”

“An eel with teeth or a crocodile with the fingernails. And people thought they could eat that. Jack was always hopeful, saying, “It’s like chicken.” It was never like chicken. It was hideous.” But she loved being camp leader the most – not least as it meant putting her feet up.
