The true state of shamed Andrew’s Royal Lodge home has been revealed and with an investigation launched into the Crown Estate, a royal expert believes it will have caused nerves among the royals

A probe into the Crown Estate in the wake of the Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor scandal could prove ‘uncomfortable’ for other royals, according to an expert. A powerful group of MPs who form the Public Accounts Committee are set to launch an inquiry after details of former prince Andrew’s rent deal for his crumbling Royal Lodge home emerged, causing public outrage.

When shamed Andrew was stripped of his titles in October, he was also booted out of his Windsor mansion after it was revealed he was barely paying rent to the Crown Estate for the property. The lucrative peppercorn rent prompted the public spending watchdog to investigate as profits from the Crown Estate go back into the public purse, leading to fears taxpayers could be missing out on value for money.

And with it also now emerging that other royals, including the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, also having peppercorn rent deals, royal expert Jennie Bond believes it’s time to be transparent – and the fallout may have to be dealt with a future king William.

She told the Mirror : “Although I don’t think the family will be jumping with joy at the prospect of a comprehensive rent review, I think they will accept that it’s high time that the monarchy’s finances were more transparent.

“In my opinion, it’s also time that the family’s property portfolio should be substantially reduced. And I think William will be the one to do that, if nothing has changed by the time he becomes King. For now, though, they will have to accept that their rents are being scrutinised.”

In initial answers from the Crown Estate to the Commons committee, it emerged that Andrew looks set to lose £500,000 in compensation after surrendering the lease on the property to go and live on the King’s private Sandringham estate – with the move believed to be happening after Christmas.

If no end-of-tenancy repairs were required, Andrew would have been entitled to £488,342.21 for ending his tenancy on October 30, 2026. But the Crown Estate said that following an inspection of the property on November 12, it was thought unlikely that any compensation will be paid.

Meanwhile, in the information provided by the Crown Estate, it also emerged that unlike Andrew, the Prince and Princess of Wales are paying market rent for their new home Forest Lodge.

It said William and Kate, who moved into their property with their children in the October half term, hold a “a 20-year non-assignable lease with The Crown Estate for Forest Lodge, commencing 5 July 2025” and have “open market rent”.

And Jennie added while William and Kate may have nothing to fear, the other royals will probably not receive any public sympathy. She added: “The findings could be uncomfortable for some of them, but as far as we know William and Catherine have little to fear in regards to their new home because they are said to be paying a market rent for Forest Lodge.

“But if they or others are found to be paying peppercorn rents, as Andrew did at Royal Lodge, then I think they’ll have to accept it’s time to stump up.

“None of them can possibly pretend to be impoverished. By normal standards, they are all extraordinarily wealthy and perfectly able to pay a market rent — or move to somewhere smaller if they don’t want to. I don’t think they should expect, or receive, any public sympathy about this.”

At the end of October, the King officially stripped his disgraced brother Andrew of his HRH style and his prince title, and removed his dukedom from the Roll of the Peerage over his “serious lapses” of judgment.

The move followed the publication of a posthumous memoir by Andrew’s accuser, Virginia Giuffre, and the US government’s release of documents from Epstein’s estate.

It emerged that Andrew had emailed Epstein in 2011 saying “we’re in this together”, three months after he claimed he had broken all contact with the paedophile. Andrew denies all wrongdoing.

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here star Jack Osbourne has revealed that he is to become a dad again with second wife Aree Gearhart. This will be the couple’s second child but Jack’s fifth as he has three children from his previous marriage.

And one thing that Jack, 40, is perhaps most proud of is that he was able to share the happy news with his dad Ozzy Osbourne, before he died in July.

In a recent interview following his exit from the ITV show, Jack said: “It’s awesome. We’re super-excited. It was sort of planned, I should say. It was maybe a little earlier than expected. But it’s definitely something that we were wanting to pursue and somehow it happened, miraculously.”

It’s believed that Aree is 28 weeks pregnant. And Jack was not only happy about being able to share the news with his late father, but the upcoming birth has been a welcomed distraction from grieving Ozzy absence.

“I think it’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing — probably in that kind of ‘full cycle’ category, in a weird way. It’s very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness,” he told The Sun on Sunday.

Jack secretly married Aree two years ago, a year after the arrival of their first daughter Maple. At the time, Jack shared with news with his fans by posting: “Something really cool happened. I married the most amazing women I’ve ever met. All in.”

Jack is already a father to Pearl, 13, Andy 10 and Minnie, seven, who he shares with ex wife Lisa Stelly.

Jack and Aree started dating back in 2019 and decided to publicly make their relationship official by attending the American Music Awards in the November of that year.

The couple’s joy comes a few months after the world was left mourning the loss of the rock icon after it emerged that he had died on July 22 at the age of 76.

Honouring the memory of the globally renowned musician, Jack posted an emotional tribute a month after Ozzy died, which also included pictures of his children.

It read: “I haven’t really wanted to post anything since the passing of my father. My heart has hurt too much. He was so many things to so many people, but I was so lucky and blessed to be apart of a very small group that got to call him ‘Dad,’ “

Jack added: “My heart is full of so much sadness and sorrow, but also so much love and gratitude. I got 14,501 days with that man and I know that is such a blessing.”

Sophie Kasaei and Jordan Brook reveal they’re expecting first child after challenging two-year fertility journey. The stars have undergone an emotional two-year fertility battle in their bid to become parents.

Sophie, 36, announced the news as she added a very special bauble to her Christmas tree this year. The heart ornament read “Merry Christmas Mummy and Daddy. See you in 2026.”

Sharing the video of her decorations, mum-to-be Sophie wrote: “The most magical gift. Merry Christmas from the three of us.”

Over the last two series of The Only Way Is Essex, both Jordan and Sophie have been candid about the emotional strain their fertility struggle has had on them individually and as a couple.

But now, the happy couple wasted no time in sharing their news with fans. . In one part of their video announcement, Jordan is seen wrapping his arms around Sophie, as they both cradled her growing baby bump, stood by their Christmas tree.

In another scene, Sophie is seen holding a Christmas stocking and the top was embroidered with the words “baby Brook coming 2026.” And underneath was an image of a rainbow.

Meanwhile, a third snapshot showed a Christmas decoration which was placed on their tree which read: ” Merry Christmas mummy and daddy , see you in 2026.”

This comes after viewers saw Sophie questioning if she was ever going to be able to have the happy ending she longed for, as those around her fall pregnant.

Close friend Charlotte Crosby welcomed her second child recently, while her cousin Marnie Simpson is now a mother of three.

Both Jordan and Sophie have given viewers and fans a real insight into their fertility struggle and at one point during an episode of TOWIE, they were both sat in the doctors office waiting to find out the results of their tests.

Sophie was diagnosed with endometriosis five years ago, which she feared would greatly lessen her chance of falling pregnant.

Their social media pregnancy announcement kicked off with Sophie and Jordan sharing a smooch as he gave her his present, which was decorated with a white bow.

The video then took viewers back to Christmas 2024 when the pair placed a wrapped blanket under the tree, with the hope that the following year would be when they started their family.

The video then shot to the couple unwrapping the blanket before Sophie gently rubbed her belly, showing off the fact she was now pregnant with her first child.

Fans then saw Jordan and Sophie’s emotional reaction when she had just taken her pregnancy test while stood in their bathroom. Both looked stunned and in disbelief as the test showed a positive sign.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs mother Janice Combs has hit out at what she called a number of inaccuracies about the Netflix series – slamming her son’s alleged friends and diminishing a slapping incident that features in the show

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ mom has shared her fury at the damning new Netflix documentary about her son.

The streaming service released the four-part Sean Combs: The Reckoning this week and Janice Combs has now shared her furious reaction.

The mum has blasted claims that she was an “abusive parent” to her son, calling herself a loving and nurturing parent to her boy who she described as a ‘goal orientated over achiever.’

In a statement given to Rolling Stone, Janice insisted The Reckoning – which has Diddy’s nemesis 50 Cent as one of the executive producers – was created with the purpose of “misleading viewers” and further “harming the family’s reputation.”

Denying she had been abusive, Janice said: “As I have stated previously, I was a single mother, raising my son, I held three and even four jobs in an attempt to provide a comfortable upbringing and quality education for my child. I raised Sean with love and hard work, not abuse.”

Janice wanted to release a statement to “correct some of the lies” in the docuseries, and accused Tim Patterson, an alleged childhood friend of her son, of making “salacious” claims of her relationship with the I’ll Be Missing You hitmaker.

Diddy is serving 50 months behind bars after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

Janice said: “I loved and nurtured Sean. My memories of Sean growing up are one of a respectful and a diligent child and teenager. Sean has always been an industrious, goal oriented, over achiever.”

The mum also insisted Bad Boy Entertainment co-founder Kirk Burrowes’ statement that his then-business partner once slapped his mother was “patently false”.

She said: “The allegations stated by Mr. Kirk Burrows that my son slapped me while we were conversing after the tragic City College events on December 28, 1991, are inaccurate and patently false.

“That was a very sad day for all of us. For him to use this tragedy and incorporate fake narratives to further his prior failed and current attempt to gain what was never his, Bad Boy Records is wrong, outrageous and past offensive.(sic)”

Janice praised the incarcerated rap mogul as a “dutiful son” who had helped her with medical care and other financial support and requested “these distortions, falsehoods and misleading statements be publicly retracted.”

Diddy’s representatives previously branded The Reckoning “fundamentally unfair and illegal”.

A statement said: “Netflix is plainly desperate to sensationalise every minute of Mr Combs’s life, without regard for truth, in order to capitalise on a never-ending media frenzy.

“If Netflix cared about truth or Mr Combs’s legal rights, it would not be ripping private footage out of context – including conversations with his lawyers that were never intended for public viewing. No rights in that material were ever transferred to Netflix or any third party.”

However, Netflix later hit back and insisted there is nothing untoward about The Reckoning.

A spokesperson said in a statement: “The claims being made about Sean Combs: The Reckoning are false. The project has no ties to any past conversations between Sean Combs and Netflix.

Vogue Williams is making the most of the sizzling Australia weather ahead of the I’m A Celeb final.

Posing by the poolside of her lavish hotel, the mum could not contain her joy at being out of the jungle, while sipping on a refreshing drink in the sun. Vogue, 40, who is a married mum of three, showed off her washboard stomach and toned physique in a revealing red string tie bikini.

“Beep beep getting ready to go home to ski suits but for now… bikinis and coconuts,” teased Vogue. The comment section was quickly filled with praise by fans with one telling her: “You were fab in the jungle Vogue. I wish we could vote from Ireland.”

Meanwhile a third person penned: “You look amazing gal! Enjoy.”‘

Although Vogue appeared to settle into jungle life fairly quickly as a late starter along with Celebs Go Dating star Tom Read Wilson, the model and podcaster recently admitted that was forced to seek professional help before entering the jungle.

After seeing a cockroach in her en suite bathroom while on holiday in Spain, she had a complete meltdown and refused to sleep in the same bedroom as Spencer, during their entire stay.

And it was on reflection of her reaction, she enlisted the help of a hypnotists to help conquer her fear.

Speaking to the Mirror, she said: “I thought this isn’t right, I’m going to need to try and do something here to not be so frightened of them. I actually haven’t really been that scared of them anymore.”

Fearing that she would reveal that she was in preparation of the ITV show, Vogue confessed that instead of pin-pointing towards her fear of cockroaches, she used the generic term of insects instead.

However, she was quick to add that the procedure was probably better suited to seeing the odd one, rather than being bathed in them during a Bushtucker trial.

But it seemed to have worked as she walked away with stars after she was chosen for a challenge. Vogue was the third celebrity to exit the show, following in the footsteps of Alex Scott and Eddie Kadi.

Unfortunately, at the time Spencer was waiting at the other side of the rope bride waiting ton greet her as he was in the middle of completing seven Ironman triathlons, on seven continents in 21 days.

After receiving a letter from home, she was informed that he was on his sixth leg in Rio and she had hoped that he would be able to greet her, but alas.

She explained to the publication: “I was like, ‘oh, maybe he’ll have time, because he was going to fly out here. I thought he might have done Antarctica, but he hasn’t done it yet, so he’s still over there now.”

Sir David Beckham shared a huge career triumph with his family on Saturday – while his estranged son, Brooklyn, stayed at home making French onion soup.

Brooklyn 26, and his wife, Nicola Peltz, 30, are still not speaking to his family after swerving dad David’s 50th birthday, reportedly leaving the former England captain heartbroken. The hurt has continued with Brooklyn missing his mum’s birthday and even his dad receiving his knighthood from King Charles.

His absence was notably felt again this weekend as he failed to support his father as the team he owns Inter Miami stormed to victory and won the MLS title in the States.

However, there may be signs of a reconciliation on the cards after Cruz shared a snap of himself with his brothers and David. Captioning the sun-soaked family holiday snap, which was taken in 2021, he wrote: “Love you guys @davidbeckham @brooklynbeckham @romeobeckham.”

However, Brooklyn and Cruz are still not following each other on Instagram, with a source telling the Mail that Cruz and Romeo had actually blocked both him and his wife Nicola Peltz on the social media platform.

But, it would seem that all is not lost as Brooklyn’s grandmother, Sandra, reached out to her grandson this week in an apparent bid to get the family reunited for Christmas.

After Brooklyn posted a snap of himself wrapping up one of his bottles of hot sauce for Christmas, she replied: “Is that for me?” followed by a string of sweet emojis.

Meanwhile, Victoria hinted that her son was also in her thoughts for the festive period as she shared a photo from her mum’s house with all the grandchildren’s stockings hanging up.

Zooming in on Brooklyn’s, she said: “So I’m here at my mum and dad’s house and look how cute. They’ve got all of the grandchildren’s stockings up ready for Christmas.”

David and Victoria are reportedly spending Christmas with various extended family members, including Victoria’s mother, Jackie – while Brooklyn will be in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Nicola.
