After recovering from a hamstring injury in time for Tuesday’s semi-final second leg at the San Siro, Lutaro Martinez will start for Inter Milan’s Champions League winner against Barcelona.
Since suffering the injury in last week’s thrilling first leg, which gave the tie a perfect 3-3 lead, Inter captain Martinez has not played since.
The 27-year-old begins alongside Marcus Thuram, his preferred strike partner, in Catalonia, who scored a stunning backheeled goal.
Since the start of the year, Martinez has scored seven times in the Champions League, including in both quarter-finals against Bayern Munich, for coach Simone Inzaghi.
