With upcoming trade and tariff negotiations likely to rule his position, Canada has appointed former BlackRock executive Mark Wiseman as its new ambassador to the US.

The Trump administration has imposed a number of tariffs on Canada, including a blanket 25% tariff on fentanyl for allegedly preventing migration and fentanyl flow from the country.
