Helen George, who previously starred as a child, split from her former husband and partner, and now officially has a relationship with her new man.
The actress, who plays Nurse Trixie Franklyn in the BBC series, has been in love since splitting with co-star Jack Ashton in 2023, and she even signed up for an exclusive dating app to check out potential partners. Now, it seems Helen, 40, may have found her Prince Charming, proudly showing off a romantic Valentine’s Day date on Instagram.
Helen tagged her new man, Dan Innes, in her posts, with the real estate marketer describing in his bio: “Future thinker, architecturally inquisitive, marine + mountainous, health + moderation, national + Atlantic oarsman, possible viking”. Dan and Kate Wetton, who he and Dan married in 2008, have two children, ages 14 and 12, and they separated in 2016, according to The Sun. Dan was born in Wales.

Helen snapped a photo of her date with Dan at The Waterman Arms in Barnes, capturing a table laden with food and gushing: “The most delicious Valentine’s over-ordering. Hearts and stomachs full @daninnes @thewatermans. arms”.
Dan also made some evening mementos, including a romantic lemondrop martini and a table-saving photo. Later, he shared a photo of Helen holding a wine bottle while standing tall from a table in a furry coat. “Can I get this to go please? #yesyesyes” he wrote alongside the snap.
Before splitting with Oliver Boot, Helen had previously been married to him from 2011 to 2015. She later wed him. She then began dating Jack Ashton, after Jack joined the cast as vicar Tom Hereward. Their daughter Wren was born in 2017, and their youngest, Lark was born in 2021.
The couple shocked the audience when they announced their split seven years later on the show’s set in July 2023. In a statement at the time, Helen told the Mirror: “Some months ago, we separated. I respectfully request privacy for this next chapter while our two stunning girls continue to be our focus.
After a while focusing on her family and career, Helen finally appeared to be back into the dating fray last year, posting a profile on Raya’s exclusive dating app.
On her profile, which was added in August and is linked to her Instagram, Helen describes herself as an actor whose interests are hotels, restaurants and bars, meditation, theatre, travel, dogs and antiques.
According to a source, Heather joined Raya with the encouragement of her friends and is hoping to meet someone who truly connects with her. She is, however, incredibly happy right now, so she doesn’t put any pressure on it at all. As far as she’s concerned, a relationship would be a bonus if the right person came along”.
