Helen George, the star of Call the Midwife, has received positive feedback from fans for seeing her enjoying life with her businessman boyfriend Dan Innes, according to reports that they have recently made a significant step in their romance.

Helen, 41, who has played Trixie Franklin since 2012, made the first public engagement with Dan, who works for an estate agent marketing firm, in March of last year. Following a “martini fuelled” night out at a jazz club, she first posted him.
The couple quickly returned for a romantic outing to a boutique hotel a few days later. Additionally, it is said that the two have become more in touch and are now residing together.

The Sun has reported that Helen and George moved in together by the end of last year – while a social media snap from December showed the couple beaming in a vehicle together after picking up a Christmas tree. The Sun also reports that the pair are living in a five-bed property – while snaps form last week showed the couple enjoying a night out together at a Cirque du Soleil circus show premiere. The Mirror has contacted a representative of Helen for comment.
Fans of Helen and Call the Midwife may recall that she and co-star Olly Rix had a brief romance that ended in 2024. From 2021 to 2024, Olly, 40, played Matthew Aylward in Call the Midwife, and it is said that they “drifted apart” before reaching a mutual end.
Despite the pair unfollowing one another on social media, it is said that the relationship ended peacefully. Soon after Helen split from 42-year-old fellow midwife star Jack Ashton, the romance began and ended.
Helen and Jack fell for each other in 2016 when the BBC show filmed in South Africa for a Christmas special. They welcomed a daughter named Wren in September 2017, and a second daughter named Lark in November 2021.
However, after splitting up, the couple split in 2023. The Trixie Franklin singer revealed the split in a statement released via social media that read, “We separated some months ago. I respectfully request privacy for this next chapter while our two stunning girls continue to be our focus.
Helen and Oliver Boot previously had marriages, and they broke up in 2015. She previously stated that “going through a divorce is awful. Strictly was a task for me, and, strange as it may sound, I believed it would serve as a form of therapy after my divorce.

Additionally, the BBC is reportedly developing a prequel series that will examine the histories of the characters who have previously appeared on the long-running show and show how they handled the Blitz there.
