In a new year’s message shared on Instagram, Trixie’s Call the Midwife actress referred to a relationship milestone.
Helen George, a legend of Call the Midwife, has written a heartfelt tribute to her new partner.
The 40-year-old actress confirmed to her Instagram account that she had met Dan Innes a year ago on New Year’s Eve. She plays Nurse Trixie in the BBC drama.
In Helen’s touching post, she shared a photo of Dan holding her beloved dog. Her beau can be seen wearing a pair of sunglasses, a neck scarf, and a blue jacket as he peers into the distance, cradling the pooch.
After connecting on Raya’s dating site, it is thought that Helen and Dan found happiness.

Helen confirmed her new romance on Valentine’s Day when she shared the evening with Dan at the riverside restaurant, The Watermans Arms, in Barnes.
Posting a snap to Instagram of her table, filled with tasty-looking plates of steak, chips, and two glasses of red wine, she penned: “The most delicious Valentine’s over-ordering. Hearts and stomachs full,” tagging Dan in the post.
Dan attended Newcastle University and has over 25 years of real estate experience, according to his LinkedIn profile.
According to his Instagram profile, Dan is the founder and managing director of Innesco, a real estate consulting firm.
Helen and Dan have been enjoying quality time together while on vacation together for the past 12 months.
Helen and Dan took a stunning selfie together in Italy as they celebrated a friend’s wedding in October.
The happy couple can be seen soaking up the Mediterranean sun by their side. The post’s title, “An Italian summer, celebrating my dearest friends, cave swimming, and pistachio gelato @daninnes (love heart),” was written by Helen.
With Jack Ashton, her ex-partner of seven years, and whom she split in 2023, Helen has two daughters, Wren and Lark.
The former couple first met on Call the Midwife’s set, where Jack played Reverend Tom Hereward, the town’s local vicar, who had a romantic relationship with Trixie Franklin.
Helen and Jack started a family together, and their relationship blossomed away from the rolling cameras.
Confirming her split from Jack, Helen told The Mirror in July 2023: “Some months ago, we separated. Our two beautiful girls remain the focus, and I respectfully ask for privacy for this next chapter.”
