After nearly four years apart, BTS is officially returning. Following the completion of all seven members’ mandatory South Korean military service in June 2025, the global K-pop phenomenon has confirmed their highly anticipated comeback for March 20, 2026.
BigHit Music confirmed on January 1, 2026, that BTS will release their fifth full-length studio album on March 20, 2026, at 1 p.m. KST (midnight ET). The announcement sent fans into such a frenzy, that the Weverse platform temporarily crashed, proving the height of anticipation from the group’s devoted ARMY fanbase.
This marks BTS’s first proper studio album since February 2020’s Map of the Soul: 7 —a six-year gap. While the group released the anthology album Proof in June 2022, that offering was comprised of past hits rather than featuring entirely new material.
