Everyone was “remembering” Brooklyn and Victoria Beckham’s “inappropriate” dance at his wedding to Nicola Peltz at a brunch the following day, according to DJ Fat Tony.
DJ Fat Tony has shed light on Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s “awkward” post-wedding brunch after the 26-year-old’s infamous dance with mum Victoria the night before. Tony, who was a long-time friend of the Beckhams and DJ’ed the wedding, appeared on This Morning today to give his account of what happened at the headline-making wedding.
It comes after Brooklyn claimed in a six-post letter to his parents, Victoria and David, that he had never wanted to speak to them again. Brooklyn claimed in the explosive rant that Nicola and her mother Victoria “hijacked” their first dance and that they tried to break their relationship.
Brooklyn claimed that his mother “humiliated him” during the “inappropriate” dance, which the audience has yet to witness for themselves. Only the young couple has video of the highly anticipated incident, with 2022 wedding attendees being required to bring their phones in upon arrival.
Guest DJ Tony and DJ Tony shared details about the big day on This Morning, revealing that the following day’s brunch was “the most awkward part of it all.”
“Yes, I did the wedding DJ.” It was a three-day wedding instead of a one-day reception. he stated. The awkward part of it all was that I did the welcome party, the wedding, and finally the brunch on Sunday.
“Everything that had gone on at the wedding night, was discussed amongst the guests the next morning. But the reason I’m on here is literally, I’ve been inundated with thousands of messages on Instagram alone and why I’m here is to talk about the word ‘inappropriate’ and what we deem inappropriate.”
After MC Marc Anthony invited Brooklyn and Victoria, the most attractive woman in the room, to dance on stage, Tony also confirmed that Nicola had “fleshed the wedding” and had “cried her eyes out.” Tony added that Marc instructed Brooklyn to “put his hands on Victoria’s hips,” making the situation “so awkward for their guests.”
It was the only topic the guests could discuss at brunch the following day. Word quickly spreads that “he said” when the bride and groom leave their wedding devastated. And while not many people attended the brunch, everyone was expressing their sadness over how it was held.
“But Victoria was thrust into that circumstance, and I believe too much has been written into it, with too many stories being added. The bigger issue is only a small portion of the larger issue.
Earlier this week, Fat Tony poked fun at the cringeworthy dance on social media, sharing a meme parodying Victoria’s rumoured moves. Sharing a video of Motherland’s Amanda (Lucy Punch) doing a toe-curling dance at a PTA meeting, he compared her moves to Victoria’s, writing: “Actual video footage, it’s true I was there!”
Yesterday, Brooklyn broke cover with wife Nicola for the first time since sharing the statement. The couple were seen walking their dog on a Malibu beach.
On ITV1 and ITVX, This Morning airs every weekday at 10 a.m.
