Given the pair’s significant recent disagreement with the influencer’s family, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s rationale for purchasing a lavish £10.5 million Hollywood home has been made clear.
Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have swooped to buy a lavish £10.5million home in Hollywood as the family feud rumbles on. The eldest of David and Victoria Beckham’s kids has opted to splash on the pricey home after previously renting with Nicola as a temporary base away from his parents.
Brooklyn sees his life elsewhere now, thanks to the five bedrooms and six bathrooms on the opulent property.
Brooklyn’s English-speaking family has referred to the purchase as a “dagger to the heart.” The eldest of the siblings has repeatedly snubbed his parents in recent months, including avoiding his father’s 50th birthday celebrations.
He also chose not to support the former football player’s knighthood last week in front of the public. Brooklyn appeared to once more shy away from any public adulation in contrast to the rest of the Beckham clan’s hysterical Father’s Day tweets.
Despite speculation surrounding the move, sources have now decided to dissuade any rumors that the new home had to do with the conflict. A source in contrast told us that “this house has no relationship to family dynamics.”
Brooklyn spent a portion of his childhood in Los Angeles while his father played for the LA Galaxy, and both Nicola and Brooklyn’s careers are based there. He spent a number of years in LA before moving to the city and beginning to form relationships there. He has always felt at home in LA.
In response to the family turmoil, Brooklyn’s brothers Romeo and Cruz both took to social media to post cryptic posts. After Brooklyn’s Father’s Day and knighthood snub, Victoria was reportedly among other family members who had “disgusted” after being “disgusted.”
Romeo shared a photo of himself with a pal on Instagram, captioning it “family with a crossed fingers emoji” Later, he shared a number of retro-themed photos of his parents David and Victoria looking very young.
A new-faced Victoria with a pram or one of their sons was depicted in some of the images.
Cruz also posted a similarly cryptic post. Before sharing a poster with the words “If I would stick my pen in my heart/ Spill it all over the stage/ Would it satisfy you? “, he uploaded a screengrab of Carly Simon’s song You’re So Vain.
David is finally set to receive a knighthood as the family continues its conflict. Later this year, David will be honored at Buckingham Palace, but rumors that Brooklyn and his wife Nicola won’t be there are depressing him as they prepare to celebrate the occasion.
While David’s wife Victoria, a 51-year-old man, his sons Romeo, Cruz, 20, and Harper, his 13th child, will support him, it’s likely that he won’t be able to reach his father’s most significant career milestone.
