As the Victoria Beckham wedding dance fiasco rumbles on, fans are desperate to know what really happened at Brooklyn’s wedding. And now a guest has finally shed some light on the big day with their shocking account
Brooklyn Beckham’s blistering attack on his parents has left mum Victoria “in bits” with her dance moves becoming a worldwide sensation, and now guests at the drama-filled wedding have started to speak out.
With the Beckhams’ eldest son claiming that Victoria “hijacked” his big day by dancing “very inappropriately on” him during what was supposed to be his “romantic” first dance, fans of the Beckham clan are desperate to know what REALLY happened at the lavish £3m nuptials. Countless memes have gone viral across social media in recent days mocking Victoria, while many fans are in firm support, sharing footage of Posh Spice dancing and arguing: “The woman is your average mother after a few too many vinos.”

But for Brooklyn, the alleged move was ‘humiliating’. “My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song,” he claimed. “In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.
“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.” It’s claimed that Brooklyn is the only person in the world who has a copy of the footage of the dance itself, making the whole fiasco a mystery – until now.
As the dancing drama took the internet by storm, a guest who was present at the big do – held in April 2022 at Nicola’s family’s Oceanfront Palm Beach estate – revealed their account from that moment. But they’ve since deleted their evidence – leaving fans in a frenzy.
Stavros Agapiou (right in the photo) is the partner of top British DJ Fat Tony (left), who was asked to perform at the reception. He spoke about the much-talked about dance in an Instagram comment, writing: “I was there and she did, he’s telling the truth.” But the bombshell comment has since been deleted and Stavros has instead posted, “Good on him for finally speaking out!”
Just hours after Stavros’ mysterious move, his DJ partner has spoke out – and he too claims the shocking allegations are true. Sharing a video of Lucy Punch’s character Amanda in BBC sitcom Motherland letting loose to Lil’ Kleine and Ronnie Flex’s track Drank & Drugs in front of her school mum friends with the caption: “POV: Victoria Beckham during Brooklyn’s first dance”, Tony jibed: “‘Actual video footage. It’s true I was there!”
It comes as those who know Brooklyn have revealed what he’s really like behind the scenes – and why his outburst has come as such a shock. Newspaper columnist Sarah Vine says her children grew up playing football alongside the Beckhams, and that she had a front-row seat on the sidelines of who she describes as an ‘ordinary and genuine’ dad.
Writing in the Daily Mail, she shared: “I don’t know the Beckhams well. But our boys – their third child, Cruz, and my youngest, Will played in the same football team together. They were worlds apart in terms of ability, of course, but nonetheless, for a brief period they shared a pitch. Apart from the fact that he was gigantically famous and stupidly good-looking, David was a perfectly ordinary touchline dad.”
“Whether all this was merely ‘performative’, as Brooklyn describes it, I really cannot say,” she said. “It seemed perfectly genuine to me at the time. Certainly, David’s relationship with his son Cruz seemed very far from ‘inauthentic’. He was, if anything, extremely present. And he was also very kind to the other kids, too.”
In private, it’s been said that Brooklyn doesn’t have an angry bone in his body, making his furious statement all the more baffling. One family friend, who has reportedly known the aspiring chef since he was born, described him as a “sweet, shy, quiet and polite”.
“Brooklyn has never been an angry person,” the apparent friend said. “This is very out of character for the boy I knew. He was always nice. He was very well-mannered and sweet with his grandparents.”
While his family have remained tight-lipped on the statement, sources close to the Beckhams have told the Mirror that Victoria has been left heartbroken by their son’s actions. “Victoria is on the floor, shocked to pieces that her son would do this,” a source said.
They added: “Everyone is in shock. But Victoria is totally in pieces over this. But, she is worried, as is David, that this will be the end of Brand Beckham, with the claims of the falseness and pretend relationships; they are worried about what else he is going to come out with.
“They’re still blaming Nicola, feeling she had put him up to this, and it’s all to do with her; they’re constantly blaming Nicola. But as Brooklyn said, he had to do this. He’s sick of being controlled by their narrative.”
