Many of Brooklyn’s followers couldn’t help but criticize the dish, which he had just made, despite the fact that he had just released his most recent recipe.
Aspiring chef Brooklyn Beckham has once again found himself in hot water after sharing a cooking video that was panned by viewers, with one scathing remark telling him to “educate himself”.
The 26-year-old posted a clip on Instagram showing himself making what he described as shepherd’s pie, expertly chopping the ingredients and revealing his method. However, fans were quick to point out that the dish he made appeared to be cottage pie, not shepherd’s pie.
Lamb is used to make shepherd’s pie, but beef is used to make cottage pie. Many people argued the dish’s name was incorrect because viewers in Brooklyn’s video noticed he was using beef mince.
One person remarked, “Shepherds pie is traditionally made with lamb, clues in the title. Traditional beef-made cottage pie. Another added, “This is a cottage pie; educate yourself first. This is made with lamb mince, not beef mince.”
Others didn’t mind the mix-up as much. Who cares if he used beef instead of lamb mince, a response was made? Another user gushed, “Brooklyn, this looks delicious”!
Some followers were unable to resist making a comment about Brooklyn’s alleged ongoing family feud. One user begged Victoria Beckham to “like your post it’s xmas go hug her life is short” after discovering the actress. Don’t turn your back on your family, the family you came from, said another person.
The pie adds to the growing list of instances where Brooklyn’s cooking is being criticized. The eldest Beckham son, who used ocean water to make a pasta dish, earlier this year, divided opinion.
In the industrial kitchen on a luxury yacht, the former model chop his tomatoes and put them in an oiled pan before dipping a saucepan into the water in the video. After that, he pours his signature Cloud 23 hot sauce over the tomatoes and adds pasta to the water.
Brooklyn has largely escaped criticism, sticking to his cooking-related posts and expressing his foodie passion.
He has previously talked about using cooking as a creative outlet and has frequently shared videos from his kitchen. In some of his food posts, his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, has also made an appearance, frequently supporting him in the comments.
Brooklyn mentioned his admiration for chefs in a 2023 statement, saying, “One of the many things I like about chefs is how artistic they are, how diligent they are, and how relentlessly they work every day to perfect their craft.
He previously mentioned to Variety that he would like to one day open a bar in Los Angeles. He stated in this interview, “I would love to have my own pub. I’d like to have my own sauces, knives, pots and pans because I’m always learning how to cook.
Brooklyn and his wife Nicola, who wed in April 2022, are at odds with David and Victoria Beckham, their parents.
Earlier this year it was revealed Brooklyn and Nicola’s Instagram accounts no longer follow his younger brothers Cruz, 20, and Romeo, 23. Brooklyn and Nicola are, though, still following Victoria, 51 and 50-year-old David on the social media app.
