According to the argument, Brooklyn Beckham was “downright wrong” when he claimed his parents, Sir David and Lady Victoria, attempted to “ruin” his relationship with his wife Nicola Peltz.

Brooklyn Beckham was wrong to “go nuclear” in his attack on Sir David Beckham and Lady Victoria, it is argued today.

The 26-year-old model’s accusations his parents tried to “ruin” his relationship with his wife Nicola Peltz have divided opinion, with some blasting the young man. Now, it has been argued Brooklyn, an aspiring photographer, has a “mollycoddled existence” derived on the fact he is a Beckham — and critics have stressed he shouldn’t threaten to harm this.

You’ve chosen to go nuclear instead of counting your blessings and letting your parents down. In her newspaper column published today, journalist Jane Moore argued that the family’s love for you depends on your ability to serve the family brand, which is “wilfully cruel and downright wrong.”

She took aim at Brooklyn, arguing “all he has got” is his marriage after having been so critical on his family. The model was, this week, particularly angry with his mum for alleged “inappropriate” dancing at his wedding.

But writing for The Sun, the Loose Women star Jane said: “The reality of the situation is that pretty much your entire, mollycoddled existence is based on the fact that your surname is Beckham. Or should I say “Peltz-Beckham”, as it is now.”

She wrote the column in the form of a letter, as if expressing her ire directly to Brooklyn, who had himself publicly disowned his parents this week in a bombshell statement following a difficult year or so. The star said he was speaking up to counter the “lies” that he claimed his parents were responsible for putting in the public domain to “preserve their own facade.”

However, Jane, a frequent columnist for The Sun, said: “If your marriage fails, what then? Because it’s all you have now, it’s probably won’t work. However, if it persists and you eventually have children of your own, you might come to terms with the fact that all parents have flaws and that the majority of them only perform their best in the most extreme cases. When will you be able to publicly apologize to your parents for this poor takedown?

But Brooklyn’s fans have urged the young man, who was born in London, to release the video of Lady Victoria allegedly dancing “inappropriately” at the wedding as it will serve as “the ultimate proof” he is right. Brooklyn had said the moves, thought to include “grinding”, left him “uncomfortable” and “humiliated” on his big day.
