In-laws Brooklyn Beckham and Nelson Peltz were seen enjoying each other’s company in footage shared this week. Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz has given fans a glimpse into the family’s recent holiday in posts uploaded to on social media.
Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, joined her family on vacation in France earlier this month. The couple, who were spotted in Saint-Tropez, spent time onboard a yacht, where the group are thought to have celebrated the engagement of her brother Will Peltz, 39, and his fiancée Kenya Jones, 32.
Yesterday, Nicola, who has a new film project in the works, shared more footage from the trip on her Instagram Story. A compilation video included clips of the family soaking up the sun and showcased the landscape of the area.
Additionally, the footage contained clips from an event they attended, which Brooklyn later shared on his page. In some of the clips that Nicola shared, Brooklyn was seen with his 83-year-old father-in-law Nelson.
One image showed Brooklyn leaning toward Nelson, who was holding a bottle of beer while his father-in-law appeared to be seated around a table together while his arm was wrapped around Nelson’s. Another image showed the in-laws embracing by the table.
Brooklyn has attracted attention over spending time with his in-laws lately. It comes amid speculation about his relationship with his own family, with it suggested that he “doesn’t really feel like he fits into” his own family at the moment.
In recent months, there’s said to have been a rift between Brooklyn and his parents, David Beckham, 50, and Victoria Beckham, 51. Earlier this year, it was claimed that there was “distance” between him and his parents.
Later, a source told the Mirror that Nicola’s family has “almost grown so close to him.” They claimed that “he just doesn’t feel like he fits into the Beckham family right now because his family has treated Nicola well.”
Amid rumours of tension between Brooklyn and his parents, it was reported this week that his godfather Sir Elton John, 78, has acted as “peacemaker”. He’s said to have caught up with Brooklyn and Nicola on their holiday to France.
The couple are said to have met the singer and his husband David Furnish, 62, for lunch in Cannes. As reported yesterday, Elton is said to “adore” Brooklyn and have a “laugh” with Nicola, who he believes has a “great” sense of humour.
A source told the Sun: “[Elton’s] utterly neutral in this row.” They went on to tell the outlet: “Elton and David think the situation is terribly sad, and has gently suggested to all involved that life is short – and to patch things up.”
However, the group had a “really fun long lunch,” according to the source. They recently told the outlet that they had a “several, much more lighthearted discussions” about the subject that would later bear its name.
