The amateur chef sent shockwaves with a lengthy statement, where he slammed his parents for “controlling” him all his life and trying to ruin his relationship with wife Nicola.
In an unprecedented statement, Brooklyn said he had no intention of ever reconciling with his family and blasted their “performative social media posts” and “inauthentic relationships”.
He stated, “My family and I do not want to reconcile.” For the first time in my life, I’m standing up for myself instead of being controlled. My parents have controlled our family’s narratives in the media for my entire life. My life was made up of performative social media posts, family events, and unauthentic relationships.
Brooklyn made a number of allegations about his parents’ conduct at his wedding, including that he claimed that his mother had canceled Nicola Peltz’s wedding dress “at the eleventh hour” and that she had danced inappropriately on him in front of everyone.
The statement has shocked the wider showbiz world – with reports that Brooklyn may even consider writing a tell-all book about his family, akin to what Prince Harry did with his memoir Spare.
