Victoria and David’s son, Victoria and David, are directly to blame for their strained relationship, according to Brooklyn Beckham, who has written a blistering statement.
Brooklyn Beckham finally let go of speculation in a powerful statement about his family, after months of speculation. At David’s extravagant 50th birthday party last year, Victoria, 51, and Victoria, 51, were the first to discuss a feud, and things have only since since grown worse.
It recently emerged that Brooklyn had sent his parents a legal letter ordering them to “desist” tagging him on social media, and now the 26-year-old has issued a blistering statement about the relationship breakdown – placing the blame firmly on his fashion designer mother and ex-footballer dad for the massive family feud.
The statement accused Victoria of dancing “very inappropriately” with Brooklyn at his 2022 wedding to Nicola and of “cancelling” her new daughter-in-law’s bridal gown at the “eleventh hour”. He also claimed that his brothers “were sent to attack” him via social media, and said that when it comes to his parents “Brand Beckham” comes above all else. He also revealed he has absolutely no desire to reconcile with his family, but sources have revealed he has been battling behind closed doors to stay in touch with his 14-year-old sister, Harper.

Sir David broke cover with a brave face with an appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday, where he took part in an interview on Radio Davos. All smiles, few would have guessed the footballing legend was in the thick of such high-profile family turmoil. For her part, mum Victoria, is said to be “in bits” behind closed doors.
“Victoria is on the floor, shocked to pieces that her son would do this,” a source tells the Mirror, adding: “Everyone is in shock. But Victoria is totally in pieces over this. But, she is worried, as is David, that this will be the end of Brand Beckham,” with the insider also claiming the couple are “worried about what else [Brooklyn] is going to come out with.”
So what has prompted Brooklyn’s sudden outpouring and what do his choice of words say about his true feelings? Communications and body language expert Judi James tells the Mirror that Brooklyn’s missive sounds charged with ‘resentment’ after years of living in “The Truman Show” – Jim Carrey’s 1998 movie about an insurance worker realising his life is secretly a reality TV show.
This lengthy and powerful statement reads like a huge, all-encompassing emotional dump from Brooklyn himself, according to Judi. “It reeks of years of suppressed resentments that can actually be a feature of most weddings, like disputes over seating arrangements or ‘inappropriate’ behavior from guests, suggests this might have come from his own pen rather than anything more legal or formal,” she says. “
The communications expert notes that the 26-year-old “sounds like a pressure cooker that just let off steam,” noting that “major gripes are featured alongside some less life-altering ones.” “
According to Jud, “Brooklyn’s language expressly aims to make this message completely personal.” To make the most impact, the most dramatic statement can be made in three brief “statement” sentences. The word “I” is the first word in each sentence:
I’m not interested in reconciling with my family. I’m not being ruled over. For the first time in my life, a married man, age 26, speaks clearly about myself. “
Judi notes that Brooklyn’s eldest son, Victoria and David, may be filled with “controlled anger” by carefully examining the language choices Brooklyn made. “I don’t do not” rather than “I don’t” is the formal language. The tone seems to have a controlled anger vibe. For my entire life, that is the definition of how emotional offload this will be.
His complaints date back to his birth, which is believed to have occurred before Nicola and him meeting for a while. He doesn’t hold his punches here, and his use of some of the most powerful word combinations makes them leap off the page. “
Brooklyn claimed in his statement that Nicola has been “consistently disrespected” by his family, and that David even refused to meet with him privately last year when he traveled to the UK for his father’s 50th if Nicola was there. The Beckhams are reportedly still convinced that Nicola, 31, is to blame for the relationship breakdown.
According to Judi, the statement contained language that further “pokes at the family brand.”
“Performative,” “inauthentic,” “lies in the media,” and “façade” are sprinkled in to provide the shocks,” she says. When he concludes with his historical claims, “When he mentions his wedding, his words are almost equally damning,” implying battles, and adding a description of his own emotions with the phrase “I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my life” about his wedding dance. “
Brooklyn may currently feel like he has his side of the story on his chest, according to the communications expert, but the public’s interest in the rift has only increased as a result.
