Three years after their wedding, Brooklyn claims his parents David and Victoria Beckham “ruined” their vow renewal ceremony.
Many people were left stunned this week as Brooklyn Beckham launched a scathing online attack on his famous parents in a blunt six-page Instagram statement. Brooklyn, 26, accused his parents David and Victoria Beckham of controlling him his entire life, ruining his wedding and putting “Brand Beckham” above him and his wife Nicola Peltz, 31.
In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Brooklyn claimed that his parents had been “trying endlessly to ruin” their relationship with billionaire Nicola. He added that despite his fashion designer mother’s exuberant design, Nicola’s dress was “cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour.” ”
On top of this, Brooklyn alleged mum Victoria, 51, humiliated him at his wedding by dancing “inappropriately” during their first dance.
In Palm Beach, Florida, in April 2022, a famous wedding took place. 500 people attended the lavish ceremony, which also included many celebrities.
Brooklyn and Nicola recited their vows in August of 2025, just three years after their initial wedding. With less than 20 guests, the celebration at Nicola’s family home in Westchester, New York, was much smaller, more intimate.
The ceremony was officiated by Nicola’s father, Nelson Peltz, and Nicola even donned a replica of her mother’s wedding dress from 1985.
Notable: Brookyn’s brothers Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and his sister Harper, 14, neither attended the ceremony nor did David and Victoria.
The vow renewal, according to Brooklyn and Nicola, was about renewing their romance and creating beautiful memories of their lives.
A touching two-word statement, “Only love,” was posted alongside photos from the ceremony at the time. “
This statement seems to point out that the vow renewal was meant to be about the couple exclusively, not about drama, speculation, or other forms of noise. It purposefully shifts focus away from gossip to intimacy.
Brooklyn’s reference to emotional strain in some of their previous wedding may point out that “only love” existed at this time.
He titled the post, “Forever my girl,” to express his support for his wife in a separate post about the ceremony, which Brooklyn only shared.
According to reports, Victoria has been ‘in bits’ over Brooklyn’s statement this week, with sources close to the Beckhams telling The Mirror: “Victoria is on the floor, shocked to pieces that her son would do this.
