In Kyler Murray’s absence, the Arizona Cardinals defeated the Dallas Cowboys 27-17.
The 32-year-old put a five-game losing streak on the Cardinals’ home team in Arlington, Texas, by throwing for two touchdowns and running for a score.
Murray is still unable to play football because of a foot injury, so Brissett was chosen for a third straight week.
“That’s what we do,” the statement read. Brissett remarked, “It’s difficult to win in the NFL.”
“Wining on the road is more difficult. When things don’t go your way and you’re pushed elsewhere and stuff like that, it’s difficult.
You just have to rely on the work, as the saying goes goes, “When you don’t look for the results, the results come out.”
Despite his performance, Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said that Murray’s decision to be the first choice once he recovers has not changed.
Trey McBride registered his own catch, while Marvin Harrison recorded a career-high seven catches for 96 yards, including a four-yarder for the game’s first touchdown.
