Brigette Bardot’s cause of death has been revealed by her grieving husband just shortly before her funeral takes place in Saint Tropez, France today. The movie actress and style icon, who died at the age of 91 in December – with the star’s charitable foundation announcing the news as they paid tribute to her. Days on from her death, Brigitte’s funeral is taking place today.
A funeral procession is planned to pass through St Tropez, and the public have been invited to come and pay their respects. A private, religious funeral service will then take place at 11am local time (10am UK time). However, those who wish to follow the ceremony, large screens have been installed at Port, Palce de la Mairie and Place des Lices to broadcast the service live.

The hesrse carrying Brigitte Bardot’s coffin has been pictured making its way slowly through Saint Tropez to Notre-Dame de l’Assomption church.
The hearse is silver and has dark tinted windows.

Well-wishers line the streets to pay their respects
Well-wishers and mourners have began to gather in Saint Tropez to pay their respects to Brigette. Those include activist Paul Watson, French singer Francois Bernheim and President of French far right party Rassemblement National Marine Le Pen.
