Amanda Anisimova, the eighth seed, avenged her Wimbledon final drubbing with a stunning upset over Iga Swiatek.
After falling 6-0, 6-0 behind in the final match of Swiatek’s Wimbledon title in July, Anisimova recovered from that double-bagel disaster to win 6-4, 6-3.
