After a protracted battle with cancer, the talent manager passed away with Kelly Clarkson.
Brandon Blackstock’s daughter, Savannah, has admitted that she “never imagined” she would lose her father, in a sad message posted a month after the talent manager’s death.
Brandon, who had been married to Kelly Clarkson, died in August aged 48. He had been battling cancer for three years. Now, his eldest daughter Savannah has reflected on his passing and took to Instagram to share how difficult it was to lose her father.
The 23-year-old is expecting her third child, and she wrote, “To date, 2025 has been a year filled of “Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding. As Quarter 3 draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on all the love and support my husband and I have received throughout the ups and downs.
I never had the opportunity to prepare myself for losing my father, let alone being young and pregnant, in spite of what I had previously known. Over the past six months, we have received a lot of love and support, and we are forever grateful.
She continued, adding that after three years of her license, she had finally made the decision to work as a full-time real estate agent this year. Savannah said she and her husband, who also works in real estate, were “blessed” by a “caring” clientèle who had been understanding throughout her trying year.
We’ve also had the most understanding and forgiving clients, who have also been a blessing to us as we’ve been blessed with my dad’s passing.
Brandon and his first wife Melissa Ashworth split up with Savannah and her brother, Seth. Kelly-River and Remy were their second child. A family representative released a statement at the time of his passing. They remarked, “We are sad to announce the passing of Brandon Blackstock.”
Brandon bravely battled the disease for more than three years. He was surrounded by family and passed away peacefully. We appreciate your prayers and thoughts, and we ask that everyone respect the family’s privacy in this challenging time.

When his father, Narvel, was Kelly’s manager in 2006, Brandon and Kelly first met. After Brandon’s divorce, they reconnected and got married in October 2013.
