Blake Lively has failed to congratulate her former BFF, Taylor Swift, on her engagement news despite the singer’s slew of other famous friends sending their well wishes to the Look What You Made Me Do star.

The Bad Blood billionaire, 35, sent the showbiz world into meltdown on Tuesday when she announced that she and Kansas City Chiefs star, Travis Kelce, also 35, were tying the knot after two years of dating.

After posting a snap of her man down on one knee in his own private rose garden, Taylor was inundated with messages of congratulations from her legion of loyal pals. However, Blake is yet to comment on the news after reports the women were no longer besties after the Justin Baldoni drama.

The tension between the actress, who is married to Ryan Reynolds, and Taylor blew up after the singer’s name got dragged into Blake’s arduous 2024 legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star, Justin.

According to Justin’s laywers, Blake allegedly tried to “coerce” Taylor into saying something offensive about the actor, who Blake accused of sexual harassment, and deleted texts they allegedly exchanged about the 41-year-old. And despite a subpoena that would have allowed Taylor to testify against the defendant, which was later overturned, both women were undoubtedly unwelcome to the drama.

Taylor’s apparent rejection of Blake’s engagement comes as the singer prepares to release a new album, which some fans believe contains a diss track about the actress.

Taylor made the announcement for her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, on August 13 with the song “Ruin the Friendship,” which is rumored to be about her relationship with Blake.

Taylor and Blake aren’t speaking, according to a source close to the situation.

However, the pair once had a close relationship and a friendship that first emerged in 2014. Taylor has even named-dropped the children of the famous couple in her music and serves as the godmother to Blake and Ryan’s daughters.

In Taylor’s Reputation song Gorgeous, their daughter James appears in a voice cameo. Additionally, James, Inez, and Betty, who are all three girls, are featured in Taylor’s song Folklore, which shows how close the two women once were to one another.

Some Swifties are, however, persuaded that the pair is having a bad feud, especially now that the track Ruin the Friendship has been revealed.

Taylor is renowned for expressing her emotions through her songs while keeping her eyes open to the truth. The singer, however, essentially dissipates the rumors by revealing on the New Heights podcast with Travis that she was “in Europe for the Eras Tour” before any drama with Blake was made public about the “diss track.”

Blake’s representatives have been contacted by The Mirror to comment on this story.
