Big Brother’s Yinrun Huang reveals secret ‘struggle’ over past two years

Yinrun Huang, the host of Big Brother, has revealed a terrifying circumstance she has been dealing with in secret for the past few years.
Yinrun won over fans with her silly antics in the 2023 season of Big Brother, and came in fourth place. Since then she’s made a name for herself on TikTok and Instagram, often making funny videos and pranking her husband, Luke.
Despite how content she appears in her videos, the ITV star revealed that she has been dealing with deportation and that she can only survive thanks to her fans.
Her husband, who was seated with Yinrun for an “emotional video,” said, “We wanted to talk about something we’ve been struggling with for the past two years but have never discussed in public.”
I’ve been living in the UK since 2023 on a graduate visa, but that one expired this month, so I needed to get a new one. We had to cross a significant financial barrier that Luke and I couldn’t possibly cross, according to Yinrun, adding that the only visa route Luke and I could take was through that barrier.
Luke continued: “No chance. Many of you may be wondering if Yinrun would be able to stay in anyway after we got married, but that’s not the case. Even after marriage, we would still have to reach the prohibitively high financial threshold. And that was quite frightening because the actual threshold increased last April to an even higher level that we were unable to reach.
We knew at the beginning of 2024 that I would have to leave the UK and that we couldn’t see each other, so Yinrun said, “Every time we think about it, it’s heartbreaking for both of us,” Luke remarking that they had been “preparing to be a long distance relationship.”
“However, things started to change in the past 12 months because of you guys. You’ve been watching our videos, supporting the channel. That’s why we are finally able to meet that financial threshold”, Yinrun said.
Her husband then confirmed that the TV personality was here to stay, announcing: “Because of all the support that you’ve given us and the career we’ve been able to make out of this, Yinrun’s visa has been approved”! After he and Yinrun cheered, he then added: “So we wanted to say thank you to each and every one of you, because literally our future has been secured”.
Luke secretly learning Chinese to make the proposal in Yinrun’s own language after he and Yinrun got engaged in August of last year. The couple surprised the audience by getting married shortly after the intimate wedding had taken place in December.
Yinrun shared the wedding ceremony’s photos on Instagram with her parents, who flew from China to meet Luke for the first time. “I was so happy that our parents could all attend our special day.” We couldn’t wish for a better day than this”.
